I went to celebrate Mother’s Day early with my son.We sat out on the patio and absolutely loved the atmosphere. The lighting was soft, all the greenery was beautiful, and the waterfall was just perfect. Our waitress I believe her name is Cyrai was so kind and very attentive. She thought I might not have been pleased with my meal and even brought the manager over just to make sure I was happy…so sweet. I was completely satisfied with everything. The food, service, atmosphere, and management were all fantastic. We’ll definitely be going back 🙂 Thank you!

We had an excellent experience at Bobby Q in Glendale. The beef rib was tasty but a little lacking in meat, while the brisket was really good and had a nice roast-like flavor. It was definitely not KC style, but it still had good flavor. The chicken was great, and the mac and cheese was the show stopper!. The baked beans were disappointing and lacked flavor, but the fries and cornbread were both very good. We got the beer fries, not shoestring, and they were a great choice. I really enjoyed the chipotle ranch with my fries. No words to describe how delicious the butter cake was. Overall, it was a great meal, and our waitress Natalie was fantastic, making the experience even better.

Stopped by Bobby-Q BBQ Restaurant & Steakhouse and tried the brisket, ribs, mac & cheese, coleslaw, and baked beans. The brisket was juicy and had great flavor from the sauce, but it was a little too tender for my preference and reminded me more of pot roast. I’d give it a 7/10. The ribs were flavorful, moist, and not dry at all, but they were so tender they were almost mushy. I’d rate them a 7/10 as well. If the brisket and ribs had just a little more firmness, they would both easily be a 9/10. The sides were all fantastic. The mac & cheese, coleslaw, baked beans, and complimentary cornbread were all 10/10. The mini donut dessert was a nice touch and gets an 8/10. Friendly staff and great service! Having judged several large BBQ cook-off competitions in Texas and eaten at countless Texas BBQ spots, that’s the standard I’m comparing it to. Overall, a very enjoyable meal.

Just had an outstanding feast at Bobby-Q’s Restaurant & Steakhouse. Full rack of baby back ribs with loaded potato including macaroni and cheese. I think I died and went to heaven. The ribs were out of this world. Its been over a year since I’ve gone here and I was really craving baby back ribs. Man did they deliver some great stuff 😜 Totally worth the $53.44 price tag

Good BBQ. I’m a brisket fan, came on a Sunday approximately 1:00 p.m. when I pulled up to the parking lot I saw them actually taking some meat out of the smoker so I’m always genuinely happy to see a barbecue place cook multiple times during the day and not just in the morning. Fatty brisket was good however I sense that if it wasn’t fatty it would have been well dried out by the time I got it to the table. But overall a well-crafted barbecue just wish it had a little bit more character flavor-wise like a JL BBQ. Always wanted to try grits ever since I watched the movie My cousin Vinny so they’re jalapeno cheddar grits was interesting, potato salad was good. Would come here again and obviously this is several levels above a place like Rudy’s however I still think JL smokehouse slightly edges it out

Now I know why this place is the best bbq in Arizona. Amazing BBQ. Great selection of beef, pork, and turkey, all with perfect smokey flavor profiles. The brisket is on point, turkey was delicious, and the pork ribs were to die for. Great selection of sides, I went with Jalapeño cheddar grits, and Mac n cheese, both were perfect to round out this amazing experience. The staff is super friendly, great hospitality and service. If you want some real BBQ Little Miss BBQ delivered the best.

Found Little Miss BBQ while driving around Phoenix. Saw the reviews and figured we’d give it a shot. Glad we did. The brisket was excellent. The pulled pork was just as good with a great bark and plenty of flavor. Everything we had was solid, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. Definitely a place I’d come back to next time I’m in Phoenix.

This is why I love bbq. Just because it’s not the best you’ve ever had, doesn’t mean it isn’t still phenomenal. My favorite is when all the sides are just as good as the meats which Little Miss does in spades. The Hot Link and Turkey were perfect and wow did I love the beans. Wonderful staff and such a great atmosphere to the restaurant as well. We went during lunch time on a weekday and it wasn’t bad at all for wait times. Bring some friends, share some q, and enjoy the day at Little Miss BBQ.

We’ve been wanting to check our lil Miss BBQ for quite awhile, so we decided to make the drive over (23 miles) to check it out. We went on a Friday at 11:30. There was a line when we arrived, we were in line for about 20 minutes or so. You wait in line to order and get your food right then. There two different stations so it went relative fast. I received a sample of the brisket as I ordered, it was delicious. I ordered the brisket, sliced, lean for my husband with potato salad and beans. I ordered the kids turkey plate for myself with grits and coleslaw. The brisket was awesome, well seasoned and super tender. The potato salad wasn’t our style, more of a red potato salad. The beans were ranch style and very good. The turkey was butter tender, very delicious. I loved the grits, I wasn’t sure what I would think since I don’t typically eat them, but the jalapeños in them hooked me. The Cole slaw was fine, but not exciting. The sauce was pretty basic, regular spicy and mustard basic. They were all pretty generic to us. Mission barbecue has them beat on the sauce, but I think the brisket is better here. Rudy’s brisket is pretty hard to beat, my husband still says that’s the best. The turkey here was comparable to Rudy’s, maybe even a little more tender. There’s give and take with every bbq place. Mission has fries, Rudy’s has baked potatoes.. Caldwell bbq is great too, but doesn’t stand out as much for me. Lil Miss certainly has the Texas feel to it, I would suggest giving it a try!

I came here for lunch on a work day just to have some barbeque, and was in the mood to try a little bit of everything, and it turned out great. Pretty much every type of meat that they had was a hit. Some of the meat was a bit salty, but it wasn’t salty enough to affect my culinary experience. Overall I thought it was very delicious. Naturally, the sliced brisket was very juicy and tasty, and the chopped brisket provided good textural consistency along with the flavor. I also thought that the turkey breast was a good item to neutralize the strong taste that came from some of the meat, such as the pork belly burnt ends, which were both sweet and salty. The sausage pieces were also great in providing a layer of flavor distinct from the other kinds of meat. The pork spare ribs were generous in size, although I thought the sauce could be a bit less sweet. Overall, very solid barbeque meat and I would definitely recommend this spot to anyone that visits the Phoenix area.

Best green chile I’ve ever tasted. 😋 Red chile🌶 had some bite too 😳 Very reasonable prices and fast service. Don’t forget the homemade pecan pie 😋 Would love to sit outside if the weather were cooler, limited seating inside so to-go orders highly recommended especially in warmer months.

I hit up this BBQ spot during my trip to Arizona and the food was excellent. The staff was incredibly friendly but they do run out of food quick so I definitely recommend getting there for lunch rather than dinner. Since I showed up at 5:30 PM I didn’t get the chance to try a lot of the menu. Still, for what I did get which was the chopped brisket, pulled pork, and turkey, all were smoked and grilled to perfection. It was all so well made that I’m definitely going to have to head back out there sometime just to explore the rest of the menu.

Really stellar BBQ place near ASU. I ordered brisket, burnt ends and pork ribs. They have beef ribs, too, on Friday and Saturday, but I wanted to try a variety of meats. Each one stood on its own. Tender, juicy and flavorful. The brisket had a nice bark on it and went well with either the regular or spicy traditional sauce. The fatty brisket benefitted from a slice of white bread. The pork ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender. The mustard sauce was a nice compliment, but again the meat stood on its own. The burnt ends were the star of the show for me. Perfectly crispy, slightly fatty and delicious. The mustard-based sauce was a minor compliment. Good soundtrack on the patio outside (with misters to offset the Arizona heat). I heard Jackson by Johnny Cash, Silver Tougned Devil by Kristofferson, and Drinking My Baby Goodbye by Charlie Daniels. 2 thumbs 👍 Highly recommended.

Great food, Friendly Staff, But Disappointing Customer Experience. I was gifted this certificate that says “$25 – taxes and gratuity required in cash”. I ordered my food and received the expected total price, but when I pulled out the certificate, suddenly the price increased by 20%. Apparently, the wording above means you are required to tip and that tip is automatically 20% the entire value of your meal. I don’t personally view this place, where you order at the counter, have self-serve drinks, and are expected to bus your table, as a full-service restaurant where 20% is expected, but maybe that’s just me. It felt like I was being punished for using a gift certificate, which is not an ideal experience. I don’t blame the people working at the store, but maybe someone should examine that details of that certificate. BUT I have to shout out the staff, in general, is incredibly friendly and the food is good. On a final note, their buns are a little weak compared to the quality of the rest of the food. Either toast them or get better buns. Thanks for reading.

My hubby and I went here for the first time and it was so good! The customer service was THE BEST service I’ve had in a while! We told the lady we had never been there before and she went over and beyond to explain the menu! Everything we ordered was delicious and the brownie and ice cream was good too. Cornbread was perfect for me! Not too sweet and not too bland. My only negative experience was the bathroom needed a little attention. We will most definitely be going back! This place is huge and great for large gatherings and big families. My husband loved all the TVs to watch sports.

My boyfriend Wren and I recently went to Bobby-Q BBQ Restaurant and Steakhouse! It was our first time going and the food was absolutely mouth watering! The place has won many awards for its food and I can see why! ENJOY THE PICTURES! We got appetizers, entrees, and a dessert. I’d recommend this place to anybody. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The decor is beautiful too! You’ll feel really comfortable here as you sit and look at the menu. Speaking of the menu! It was really hard for us to choose what we wanted to eat, because everything looked absolutely delicious! In the end we thoroughly enjoyed what we ordered off the menu and the portions were very nice! We know the menu has something you all would love! Whether it’s the appetizers, entrees, or desserts. This place will please those taste buds of yours! Now let me talk about the service. It was wonderful! The staff there are really nice and caring! People with allergies of all sorts will be welcomed here. Just let them know about your allergies and they will do a great job at making the food safe for you as well as tasty! This place is worth going to and I hope you all check it out! The cornbread they make is the best I’ve ever had! Oh and you get a bag of free freshly made donuts at the end of your meal! Amazing baby back ribs, falling off the bones and juicy, not dry at all. Corn bread is so good, yumm. Service is very respectful. We came here because the reviews were great, but our experience was a bit disappointing. For the price we paid, we expected the macaroni to be made with real cheese. Instead, it tasted like processed Velveeta-style cheese, which wasn’t what we were hoping for. The broccoli also seemed like it had been previously frozen and possibly frostbitten. Our food came out in under 10 minutes which felt like cafeteria food. On a positive note, the potato soup was good. The cornbread was delicious, it was buttery and soft, with the right amount of sweetness. Our waiter was also very kind.

Was here on vacation and as soon as you walk in this is the type of place where they treat you like family. All of the food was on point and they had very generous portion sizes. I hadn’t seen hot water cornbread before but it exceeded my expectations. You can tell they really care about serving a high quality product and getting to know their customers. The only note I had was they only have one type of sauce. It was good but sometimes I like options

A friend and I stopped in because of the positive feedback we’d seen. We got there right as they were opening to make sure they weren’t sold out of anything. It’s a cozy little spot with inside and outside seating – kind of rustic and not too fancy. We ordered the “Heavy Hitter” with Brisket, Chicken, Hot Links, Pulled Pork & Bologna. And we had Macaroni & Cheese, Collard Greens, & BBQ Baked Beans for our sides. It was a lot of food for two people. All the meats were tender, tasty and had a nice smoked flavor. The collard greens were probably the best I’ve had in any restaurant. Service by the staff was friendly and attentive.

A hole in the wall place. Wasn’t expecting the over cooked burnt and dry pork belly sandwich, chicken sandwich was dry and skin was burnt as well. The brisket fries were too much , the fries were drowning in cheese, brisket was hard and dry. The beans were nothing special, ranch style beans with BBQ sauce and cole slaw was warm and sugary.

I travel for work and I’ve had this location saved on my to go list for a year or more so I scheduled my route to stop by today… I watched an episode of famous YouTuber Mark Weins with the owner JL dropping some knowledge about his art and skills so I wanted to support. I placed my 3 meat plate order online for pickup at 10:30 am for 11 am pickup. I was the first person at the gate and thought they must still be closed. Nope. I looked up again and instantly I was being welcomed and greeted by a young brother who unlocked the gate 🤝🏽 I told him I didn’t know they opened at 11 due to a catering order and did my online order come in ??? Me and brother chatted about my name being JL also and I reside in TX and watched the Mark Weins episode featuring the business … He told me to come on inside 1, go to counter 2 , and talk to Mom about my online order 3. This already had a family vibe and the whole time waiting I could smell and see the smoke rolling down the whole block outside so I knew it was a real Pit Master at work just like the episode in real time…I didn’t get a chance to meet JL today, but Mom, Brother, and another Nice Lady in the kitchen I noticed all taking care of business. I had brisket, rib tips, and sausage for proteins and I ordered the BBQ spaghetti too. I was notified that the sausage was coming off the smoker and my order was up next. I grabbed a seat and looked around a bit while waiting. I was back across the street with my order in about 8 mins. I think portion size for the price and quality was spot on bc I’ve been full all day. I cleaned my plate right there in the lot before continuing my route since everything was looking and smelling so good I didn’t want to wait. 10 out of 10 I’ll be back again Family

Frasher’s Smokehouse is definitely worth a visit for any BBQ lover! I had a great experience here, and I’m already planning my next trip back to dive deeper into their menu. I ordered the brisket, and it was seriously tasty. It was cooked well, tender, and had that great smoky flavor you expect from a quality smokehouse. It was exactly what I was hoping for and completely satisfying. The service was friendly, and the atmosphere felt authentic and comfortable, a perfect setting for enjoying some classic BBQ. The only reason I’m holding back the fifth star is that I only tried one item! But based on the high quality of the brisket, I have high hopes for the rest of the menu. I will definitely be back soon, and I am especially intrigued and excited to try their pizza.

I try different BBQ spots around the valley, and in every state that I visit across the country. I came across this location as I was in the area and wanted to try some beef ribs and burnt ends. I must say that on my visit, I was not impressed by what I received. When I opened my meal when I got to my destination to dig in, I could tell right off the bat that this wasn’t it. Also, the burnt ends weren’t burnt ends at all. It was sliced brisket with no sauce on it. As a chef myself, I know what a burnt end is; again, this wasn’t it. As for my one beef rib, it was old and I could tell that. I will say that the sauce I received on the side (spicy) was very tasty. Also, the coleslaw wasn’t right and corn was chewy. I’m going to chalk this up as a mishap and maybe they can make this right. So, one beef rib (old), seven slices of brisket (ordered burnt ends platter), off coleslaw, chewy corn, one side of broccoli, one coke, and one ice tea (if you want it sweet, you might have to request that – I was unpleasantly surprised)…for approximately $77. Not worth that cost, I’ve recently had better (quality and quantity), for half that cost. Please do better because I want to have a solid experience because this wasn’t that.

What a lovely manager! A co-worker of mine had broken down in the parking lot, and he helped push the car back, and checked on us while I fixed it. My daughter had moved up to the Phoenix area and we were looking for a place where I can take her out for a birthday lunch and she picked this place. It was a good choice because we really enjoyed it. Nice homie atmosphere, good food, friendly people. She got the pulled pork sandwich and enjoyed it very much. She gave me a bite of the pulled pork and I actually liked it better than what I had gotten. I order the 4 rib special and while they were delicious, they were a bit more chewy than what I’ve gotten in most other places. I had leftovers and they were good the next day for lunch. If you like greens, definitely order the collard greens because they were fantastic! I would definitely go here again to try other items on the menu.

We were looking for a quick, sit-down restaurant near the airport and we found this, only about 5 minutes away. We were welcomed the minute we walked in. The restaurant felt cozy, but there was plenty of seating. Now, let me start with the star of the show: the fried catfish. My son-in-law ordered it and it was the best thing we had. Hot, crispy and well-seasoned. I highly recommend this. I wanted to try the barbecue because it is a barbecue spot and their slogan is something like, “You don’t need teeth to eat our meat!” I tried the 3 slider combo so that I could sample different things. The brisket was, by far, my favorite with the pulled pork coming in second. I also liked the sauce. It had a sweet, vinegar-y taste to it. The pulled chicken… it was extremely dry and lacked flavor. My daughter couldn’t finish hers. We also were not fans of the sides. We had the baked beans. I’m sorry, I didn’t like them. Then, we tried the Mac and cheese because another customer recommended them. Boxed Mac and cheese at best. Nothing special about them at all. The highlights were definitely the brisket and fried catfish.

I tried going to another place and it’s closed down. Looked on Google Maps and said this place was only a couple of miles away. I so happy I stopped inside. The bbq ribs were absolutely amazing the collard greens damn. Make the owner was so gracious and love his work. You can tell by the quality of the food. I will definitely be making another trip back.

First time going there, got a 2 meat meal with 2 sides. The corn on the cob was not sweet at all. The cole slaw was pretty solid. The brisket and spicy bbq sauce were decent but the portion size of the brisket was small. I’d give it 2.5 stars overall, it’s overpriced for what you get and the food is overall pretty meh.

Honey Bear’s BBQ has been a personal favorite of mine for over a decade, dating all the way back to when they were located in downtown Phoenix. It’s one of those places that leaves a lasting impression from the first bite, and after all these years, the quality has stayed just as high. When it comes to BBQ, they really know what they’re doing. The flavor is always rich, smoky, and well balanced, and the meat no matter what you order just falls apart effortlessly. One of the standout things for me has always been how tender their BBQ meats are. Whether it’s brisket, pulled pork, or ribs, the texture is just right every time. There’s never any chewing struggle everything just melts in your mouth. That kind of consistency is rare these days, especially in spots that have been around this long. Their BBQ spicy sauce also adds the perfect touch without overpowering the natural flavors of the meat. And the sides? Just as impressive. From their beans to the mac and cheese, everything complements the main dish perfectly. You can tell they put just as much care into the sides as they do the meats, which isn’t always the case at other BBQ joints. Every plate feels like a full, complete meal comfort food done right. You walk out full and satisfied without needing anything extra. I also have to give major credit to their customer service. Every time I’ve visited, I’ve been greeted with a warm welcome and friendly service. Most recently, we decided to go on Father’s Day, fully expecting a long wait and a packed dining area. To our surprise, we were given the food in just 20 minutes, and the dining area was surprisingly relaxed. It made for an even better experience not rushed, not crowded, just good food in a comfortable setting. Honey Bear’s BBQ continues to be a top-tier spot in Phoenix in my eyes. They’ve been doing it right for over 10 years, and I don’t see myself stopping any time soon. Between the quality of the food, the friendly staff, and the consistently great experiences, it’s a place that earns every return visit. Whether you’re a BBQ lover or just looking for a satisfying meal, you really can’t go wrong with Honey Bear’s.

The food was delicious. The portion size to price is great. If you get a milkshake they give you the chilled tumbler with it so you can refill it yourself. Highly recommend The Tennessee Grill.

We are from out of town and decided to look around and see where we would like to eat and here I came across The Tennessee Grill; which was the best decision that I made for lunch. We were greeted immediately by Katie who happen to also be our server. Katie was very friendly and kind and welcomed us with a big beautiful smile, answered our questions as well as recommendation. I’m very grateful that we went with her recommendations , everything was so delicious. I would highly recommend sweet potato fries!!!If you’re hungry and want to be in a great environment with great servers, amazing food, and reasonable and decent prices for the quality of food you get this is the place to come.

The service was great. The hostess, waitress and bus gal were friendly and attentive. The staff really made me feel welcome. The food was mediocre, but for a local bar food it was as expected. I give the food 4 stars and everything else 5 stars. The burger was good, but the meat to bun ratio was off. Again it was good but room for improvement. The pretzels with beer sauce were good too. The pretzels were a bit too crispy on the outside and not as chewy as I like on the inside. The cheese sauce was very flavorful but more velveta flavor than beer taste. I’ll definitely be going back. I had a great first experience. Like any restaurant there is room for improvement, but great local spot!

Food was good. Really large menu and we look forward to going back again and trying different items. My husband had the tri tip and I had the grilled chicken. The grilled chicken was excellent. Not dry or over cooked.

All of the food was very good. I had brisket platter w/fried oakra& fruit. Hubby had the 4 meat (brisket, tri tip, pulled pork & pulled chicken) combo platter w/sweet potato fries & coleslaw hubby ordered tea but they did bring it until we had to remind them. At the end of the meal it took them a long time to pickup the check & run our credit card.

For over a year, I’ve been coming to this place—and I’m always impressed. Guy is always up front, welcoming you as soon as you walk in. AJ is back there grilling up delicious meats, then bringing them out to the front. The BBQ is seriously the best. The customer experience is awesome, and the food is consistently amazing. Their mac and cheese tastes homemade, the brisket falls apart on your fork, and the pulled pork—topped with their BBQ sauce, pickles, and onions—is unforgettable. These guys are total rockstars. It’s hard to beat their BBQ in the North Valley. If you’re reading this, stop scrolling and give them a try—you’ll be glad you did.

So this spot has great pull pork and ribs. The service was excellent and the place is very clean and service friendly. The sides was sort of bland. But that may be on purpose. I would add either more cheese to make it thicker or …. Can’t give out all the secrets. But over all this is a great spot to eat. Thanks guys. Will visit again

Texan here who has been to 45 of the Texas Monthly Top 50……(mostly on the company dime)….So, I like really good BBQ. And NakedQ BBQ IS really good BBQ. Very good. Brisket would play with the Top 50 in Texas no problem. Kudos to them. I had the chicken and it was very good but I think I should have had the pulled pork. Next time. Beans had plenty of extra flavorings added………EXCELLENT. Slaw was tangy, spicy, crunchy just like slaw should be. It will be on the pulled pork when I visit next. #NoMayo! Met the owner, she is a wonderful lady. Gave me a sample of the turkey and that was solid too. This place is a winner. Enjoyed it very much and will be back.

I don’t know why this place isn’t known by everybody that loves bbq- it’s amazing, and the people inside are incredible. Prices are perfect, especially when compared to other local prices! I will be back again. And again. And probably again. I heard from 2 people to make the stop and finally did- seems this place has impressed a lot of my close friends! I’m so glad I took their recommendation. The picked onions were so good too- and please try that Mac and CHEESE.
