I had such a great experience here and can’t recommend South Ponderosa Stables enough. They were a bit of a drive for me, and there were stables closer, but they were worth the drive 100%. I did the two-hour ride and rode Rhonda, who was incredibly sweet and clearly well cared for. You can tell the staff love the horses and that they are an ethical stable. Rhonda was very sweet and loved getting lots of pets afterward. My wrangler was named Mike (or Mikey, I hope I’m remembering correctly!), and he was absolutely wonderful. He was patient, explained everything clearly, and made me feel very comfortable, especially when my horse’s mane rope became loose during the ride. He helped right away and was calm and reassuring. I live with PTSD, and I found this experience incredibly therapeutic and grounding. I felt calmer afterward and more in my body. The scenery was also absolutely beautiful. Also, I thought it was really cool that they offer breakfast! I didn’t personally get it because of food allergies, but I still thought that was such a thoughtful touch. Overall, such a lovely experience, and I would absolutely come back.

We had the best time this morning with Nick! He was so nice, very polite, and very responsive to our talkative personalities. We really enjoyed the entire experience from check-in to check-out. We definitely recommend Ponderosa Stables to everyone! My husband rode Jack, I rode Corn Dog, and our teenage daughters rode Eleanor & Cupcake. MY BOY YUTE WAS THE PERFECT HORSE!!. Loved the staff!! They were very experienced and that made me really comfortable and confident. Eddie was super nice he let us finish our food, wasn’t rushing us and let us enjoy our experience. It was another young lady’s that was super nice as well, just didn’t get her name. The ride was extremely grounding and breathtaking. It was a 10/10 experience because the horses were very calm and very well trained. The staff was very patient and understanding, but very firm in clear in instructions, which once again made me very calm and easy. I’m definitely coming back to ride again. Because I feel me and Yute made a real connection. If you’re reading this, PLEASE GIVE MY MAIN MAN YUTE A BIG HUG FOR ME. They are such beautiful animals and this was a once in a lifetime experience that I’m extremely great to be apart of and have the opportunity to experience it again. What an amazing experience. Chris was our tour guide and she did an amazing job. She was patient with us along the route. Tank gave me a bit of a hard time in the beginning but once we got acquainted lol he was awesome and behaved. My son was on Specs and he enjoyed riding, the horse was well behaved and patient with him. LB was also amazing. This was our first time riding and Chris made this a memorable experience. If I ever visit AZ again I’m definitely coming back for the 2 hour ride

Landon was GREAT!!!!! He helped me on and off my horse and made sure I was in correctly, even when I didn’t feel right he made adjustments. The trail was nice, long , and well worth it. Mike was also nice! I feel like I could talk to him for hours. He is such a people person! This wasn’t my first experience horseback riding but it was the BEST! Thank you guys!

This place takes you back in time! Felt like we were in the “Wild West.” The staff are so nice and friendly. I had Pheobe and she was the sweetest horse ever. My husband had Jack and he was so funny, he kept trying to stop and snack 😂. Would 100% recommend!

My partner and I decided to do this experience on our trip to arizona and it did not disappoint. We did a weekend evening ride to the steakhouse and it was amazing, from the sunset on the way there, the food at the restaurant and the moon lit ride back through the desert mountain side. The staff was amazing and very nice and helpful. They made us feel taken care of and safe and they are all volunteers!! I almost booked a different tour that was 3x the price and found this one with a groupon and am so glad we went with this one! If your hesitant in any way, or never been on a horse, make this your decision to book!

My husband and I had the Best time! Bailey was pur guide and she made it so much fun! I am from oregon and have never been on a murder mystery tour or even a haunted tour and this set the bar high! I would 100000000% reccomend to all. So much fun and she is hilarious!

Jarrod is the owner and coordinator. We created a private four hour tour of the Phoenix area and only mentioned an interest in history, nature, art and culture. He gave it all to us with incredible knowledge and an entertaining personality. Couldn’t ask for anything better.

I was looking for a mid-week group event for a company meeting. Jarrod was very accommodating, planning a tour catered to what we were looking for. Jarrod was informative, and very funny . The tour was perfect! I will definitely do this again when I return with my family.

Jared was an amazing tour guide for the Murders and Mysteries tour. Perfect way to start my trip to Phoenix. He did his best to keep us cool in the heat but did not skimp on the information. Even when 2 people in our group had to drop out, at the beginning of the tour, and left us with less than the required tour amount, he continued on with the tour! Highly recommend this experience!

My friend and I were booked on 2 tours, the Haunted Pub Crawl and the Murder and Mysteries tour. Both were very interesting and fun! Jared is a great presenter and very knowledgeable historian. We had a blast! Some of the histories I knew about, like the San Carlos Hotel and the Orpheum Theater. The rest of the history was enlightening and fascinating. If you are a history buff and want to learn about the Phoenix history, this is an awesome tour.

The tour guide was fun and knew his history of Arizona all the way back prior to 1800s and native to the area. We absolutely loved it! The tour bus even had a bathroom on board and you can bring cooler of drinks and snacks! Will definitely be attending more tours from this company! Already wanting to book for haunted pub crawl and Christmas lights tours!

We were visiting Phoenix and needed a tour that was rain or shine because believe it or not it was pouring that day! Luckily we booked the Spirit of Arizona Ghost Tours. It was so interesting to go into the murder house. Jarrod was so nice, funny and informative! It was a great time to learn more about the area!

We had an amazing Grand Canyon flight with Westwind Aviation. Our pilot, Brandon, was friendly, professional, and made the experience truly memorable. Flying from Deer Valley to the Grand Canyon via Sedona was absolutely breathtaking. The flight was smooth, the commentary was excellent, and it was one of the highlights of our Arizona trip. My friend and I had an amazing Grand Canyon tour by private plane. Our pilot, Tyler, was excellent—very professional and informative. Even though it was quite windy that day, he flew the plane very smoothly and made the whole experience comfortable and enjoyable while showing us the incredible views from above. Booking the tour was also very easy. Brian, who handled our reservation, explained everything clearly—from the flight to the ground portion of the tour—so we knew exactly what to expect. Highly recommend this experience!

From start to finish it was an amazing day! Cory was a great pilot! The trip up to the GC was scenic with highlights pointed out along the way. Flying over and through the canyon was a highlight! Excellent tour. Did the day tour to monument valley. After some initial mechanical trouble, they took good care of us and got us on our way timely. We did a fly over/ fly through of the valley, which was amazing. Smooth flight, quick pickup for lunch. A narrated tour of the valley, and safe return flight. The only way to see this place in a day coming from Phoenix. Well worth it!! Thank you for taking care of us! Will def return!

This was hands down the most fun we’ve ever had! Super fun flight over scenic Sedona and the Grand Canyon, our pilot, Tyler was so fun and engaging, and turned into our travel guide for the whole trip. We highly recommend booking the helicopter tour down into the Grand Canyon as well – it’s so worth it! Overall we can’t imagine anything going any smoother than it did. Tyler took his time with us and letting us explore as long as we wanted before heading back to Sedona. We highly recommend and would do it again!! Manya and Brad

Hez was a great driver! Helped get our youth group from Phoenix to Estes Park. Was friendly, safe, and engaged with our students. Also flexible with stops and needs. Would absolutely travel with him as our driver again!

We had a fantastic experience with our charter bus driver, Hez. He was so patient and kind with our group of kindergarteners and drove with such care which we really appreciated. He also had movies playing to keep the kids happily entertained during the ride. The bus itself was spotless and very comfortable…honestly the nicest I’ve ever been on. Hez made the whole trip smooth and stress-free from start to finish. Highly recommend!

I was one of the chaperones for my daughter’s 8th grade trip to Catalina. Our bus driver for the trip was Hez. The bus ride was from Glendale Arizona to Long Beach California. I have to say from the beginning when Hez showed up all of the teachers and chaperones on the trip were impressed with Hez’s great attitude towards both us and the kids. He was very helpful and cheerful… both too and from Long Beach. He was always on time…professional and an excellent and safe driver. We appreciate Hez… and will request him for next years trip!

What a great time. This has been on my bucket list, and we ultimately picked Destination because they were so small, and friendly. Communication was easy and frequent, they were right on time, and we were up at exactly the right time to see the most incredible Arizona sunrise (and watched other balloons miss this part while they were still on the ground). It was personalized and flawless, easy landing, and Shawn was a great pilot. I’d do this again for sure! Wonderful way for us to see an expanse of Arizona with friends from out of town. We LOVED the Desert Cove Ave home!! It was very comfortable in every way…the layout and the physical surroundings and immensities as well as “The Vibe!” It had everything to make us WANT to be there including keeping 2 teenage boys happy! The swimming pool was outstanding, the patio was pleasant and so relaxing and the pool table and putting green were great! We emjoyed wonderful family time together for our granddaughter’s graduation from GCU! HIGHLY recommend!

We loved staying here! The place was clean and all ready for us. We were traveling with a 3 year old and a toddler. It was wonderful to have the pak and play crib available. The pool was toasty warm. The kitchen had everything we needed. Beds were comfy, and the washer and dryer were fantastic to have. We look forward to our next trip here!

A group of us were needing some fun in the sun. Mission was accomplished at the rental home on Grandview! Loved the pool, location and layout of home. Check in and out were super easy.

Cleaning is below average pool heater not working during our stay and this homeowner keeps your deposits if you book directly through him so I recommend you go through Airbnb or Vrbo not the website.

I wish I could give 6 stars. We ended up getting this property because we had booked another but the pipes broke so we were in a major hurry to find somewhere to go in just a couple of hours. We found this beautiful property and lucked out on it being available. We got even luckier when we realized we had the most amazing hosts ever. Ive stayed in quite a few air bnbs and no hosts have compared to these guys and gals! They were compassionate, kind, helpful, extremely responsive, accommodating, and were able to get us checked in right away. The property was just as outstanding as the hosts. Squeaky clean from floor to ceiling, very comfortable beds, and the HEATED POOL stole the show for us. We didn’t know a pool could get so warm in the winter months and we enjoyed every second of it!! Breathtaking views from every window and the entire back patio/pool area. They even had an outdoor tv and gas fire pit. This will be our #1 choice for our next trip to AZ. THANK YOU! We will be back! 🙂

My family stayed here during a family reunion week and loved it! The house was beautiful, spacious, well stocked, and the pool was the highlight of the trip for the cousins. With so many young kids, it was nice to have a place them to swim that we could easily keep and eye on them and know they were safe. My then 6-month old had her first pool experience here and loves watching the video of herself so we often relive the good times of this trip. We actually liked this house so much that in choosing our new home we intentionally found one that resembles this one. It was great to try it out on vacation first!

My family and I rented this home for my son’s med school graduation and it was ideal for our three family reunion with young children. The house was spacious and allowed us all our own space and the backyard and pool were just beautiful. The pool is large and we had several fun days in it. The backyard barbeque was perfect for our large family meals. There is a nice Fry’s grocery store not far from the home which was also very convenient. Highly recommend this beautiful, private and quiet home!

I am with a group that had the pleasure of taking your van ride from Scottsdale to Sedona on 1/25/26. The Pink Jeep adventure was a blast, and our driver, Jimbo was great. But that’s a separate review. I had no idea that a two hour ride in a van could be so much fun! Our driver/guide, Luis, was so funny and entertaining that the miles flew by, and I am impressed with how much I learned at the tour stops. I highly recommend this trip, and if you can, definitely ask for Luis!

Phil is the best guide for the Grand Canyon! We had an amazing experience start to finish, from the over 3 hour drive each way learning all about the area terrain, history, culture and more. Phil’s knowledge and experience were exceptional, he made it fun and memorable for our whole family (teenagers through to include grandparents). He showed us spots we never would have seen on our own. DukOut was east to book and plan, and we could not have been happier with the whole experience!

DukOUT is a fantastic company! I booked over the phone and the rapport from the office team is unmatched!! For our tour we did the Sedona day tour and wine tasting. Our tour guide Katie was on time, followed a great schedule, and went above and beyond to meet our needs! During the drive she really takes the time to get to know you and your party so that she can better serve the group! Lunch was included and we went to a great restaurant in Sedona! They didn’t give us the cheap bagged lunch or scarce buffet that most companies utilize! The company also provides snacks and water so you don’t have to worry! On top of that our tour guide took over 300 photos of us from beginning to end! Words can’t explain how much we enjoyed our trip!

Jim gave us a great tour of Sedona and the Grand Canyon. Everyone in the group loved it. He had that tour planned perfectly avoiding all the bad weather and was very informative on everything we saw and seemingly everything we passed on the tour.

Jim at Vaughan’s Southwest Tours truly went above and beyond for my trip. We took a private tour of 6 of us for my bachelorette party and it was absolutely perfect! We got to see Sedona and many different parts of the Grand Canyon. Jim helped us get all of the great photos with excellent backdrops. He was very accommodating, he made sure to provide several rest stops throughout the 3 hour drive, and we had time to get lunch as well. He also had hand sanitizers available after every stop, so we felt very safe during COVID travel. Jim helped us plan the best route so that we could see so much in such a little bit of time. It was a long ride and day, but the van was super comfortable – reclining seats, cup holders, phone chargers, and a cooler full of bottled water! We were staying in Scottsdale, but was able to get a truly unmatched experience that did not feel rushed in the Grand Canyon!!! I recommend Southwest Tours to anyone interested in visiting Arizona.

We just booked a private tour with Vaughans Southwest tours and Jim was absolutely amazing. Jim treated us like family, that we ended up calling him uncle Jim by the end of the trip. He was so great and knowledgeable during our trip. He often pointed out things and explained interesting facts about them. He answered all questions that we also had. Jim made the tour so enjoyable with his stories and his jokes. He took us to the best Grand Canyon look outs and gave us enough time to take photos. He also took us to a lot of small touristic towns, and gave us time to do some gift shopping. We can’t stop talking about our experience and the fun we had with Jim. If you’re looking to visit the Grand Canyon during a trip to Phoenix, or even if you live in the Phoenix area and want to learn more about your state and see the Grand Canyon, I highly recommend booking a tour with Vaughan’s Southwest! We had Mike as our driver guide, and had to go on a day that the weather wasn’t ideal for a trip up north, but we were fortunate and were able to get some good views of the Canyon, Sedona, and even Marble Canyon on the Navajo Reservation. He has obviously spent a lot of time learning about the state of Arizona, its history, ecosystems (plant and animals), and shared a lot of trivia-type information as well. I booked a tour for a group of 10, so we wouldn’t have to drive multiple vehicles, most of the group thought paying for a tour was unnecessary but everyone commented on how smart and forward-thinking it was of me to do this even though they didn’t agree at the outset. My dad lives in the Phoenix area, and thought we could save our money and drive ourselves – he booked another trip with this company for the following week when more family would be coming to town to visit. The weather was getting pretty rough on our way back to Phoenix, freezing rain type “rough” but Mike forged ahead and drove like a professional. We learned that the drivers at this company are sent to a professional driving course, and that the owner (Jim) uses only the best tires on the vehicles and makes sure the vehicles are serviced regularly. On our next trip to Phoenix, I’m thinking of booking another trip with this company to see some other must see locations in Arizona! *a tip: if the weather is calling for rain or snow, do yourself a favor and find a rain coat or poncho so you don’t have to try to hold onto an umbrella (Vaughan’s will have umbrellas on hand for your use, but it’s hard to pose or take photos while holding an umbrella)

An appointment was made for booking a cruise. It is our 50th anniversary and our first cruise. No one showed up! What kind of a business are you running. Obviously you don’t need anyones business. I will never refer anyone to you or do business with you ever.
