Nice spot to check out a show. We saw Wale & Smino there. There really isn’t a bad view in the house. The acoustics are good & the environment was really chill & intimate because you’re not so far away from the performers. Would definately recommend catching a show there. Lots of dining options in the area as well.

Been going to this venue since it opened! Great acoustics and the venue is modern! Very professional staff and they deliver an amazing experience for everything from rap(Pusha T) to rock(Modest Mouse) music. Just went on 3/31 to see Los Growlers aka The Growlers ;)! Place is one of my favorite’s because it feels very intimate and there is not a bad spot jn the house 💯. I say spot because there are no seats except for the Mezzanine level so if you are handicapped or unable to stand keep that in mind. Also on that note you access the Mezzanine level via stairs and I didn’t see any lifts but I would ask the box office regarding those accommodations. Have Blast and also consider going to Ziggy’s Pizza next to it🍕 before the show they have excellent pizza and a very cool hidden bar you get to by going through a “speakeasy” style door by the restrooms. Enjoy and make lifelong memories!

Up close and personal what you want in a venue for artist you love. The bathrooms were clean and plentiful, bars didn’t take forever and had a variety of options for all ages that was a major plus. Parking wasn’t too bad and pre gaming next do at Ziggy’s combos perfectly. Must go back

This is a great venue. My wife and I saw the RX Bandits here recently and it was such a great experience. 1,800 people, multiple bars, food options, security, and great service. We were on the mezzanine and really enjoyed the seats. Highly recommend!

Great venue paying 15$ extra to stand on the balcony was a bit much though, with no balcony seating option. When me and my gf looked up there was no one on top either 😅 Tips would be to pay extra for parking, and bring earplugs and it does get loud

Saw Snow tha Product here. Getting in took a little bit. The line wrapped around to neighboring apartments. However, once inside it was perfect! Drink lines moved smoothly & quickly. I had an ADA accommodation. Getting to my assigned seat was easy. The sound quality was really good. I got my parking ahead of time so that was easy as well. I would recommend doing the same especially if it’s s weekend night show. I would definitely come back for another show here!!

My wife, girlfriend, and I attended Star Wars: The Return of the Jedi in Concert at Arizona Symphony Hall, and it was a memorable experience. The venue was packed, with barely an empty seat in sight, which speaks to how popular these performances are. The orchestra delivered a superb performance, truly a highlight of the evening. The combination of live music with the film on screen was magical and brought the iconic score to life in a way you simply can’t experience at home. That said, a few things to keep in mind before you go: •Parking is a nightmare, tight and expensive. •Concessions (water, drinks, snacks) come with steep prices. •Overall ticket costs are high, which made us all agree that while the show was great, the price point is a consideration. Bottom line: We’d definitely return for other performances, especially those featuring live orchestral scores rather than paying the premium for movie with live orchestra events. It’s worth it for the right show, but budget accordingly!

Great experience watching the Star Wars symphony. More air flow in the seating areas could be helpful. The shirt I purchased after the show is already cracking in the lettering. 🙁 Drinks are very expensive. The free water station was practical and convenient! I also appreciated the intermission for people to use the bathroom, but it does seem they need larger bathrooms because the crowd was like a tight club squeezing through people just to walk by. The staff were kind and helpful.

Blew me away. I sm so glad I checked out The Mozart/Mahler concert🥰🥰🥰..Wow..the soprano Liv Redpath was a true songbird whose voice left you enraptured. The conductor Alex Amsel was perfection and of course the orchestra🥰🥰🥰…if you are looking for a high cultural experience this is as good as it gets. In NYC where I’m from the same ticket would have cost me 5 times the price and the level of sophistication and quality is indistinguishable. This is a true gem. The lobby is also quite beautiful, the indigenous tapestry on the walls was an unexpected decadence. HIGHLY RECOMMEND 🏆🏆🏆

Had an absolute blast here! We sat in the lawn area, and the view of the stage was still perfect, plus the sound was incredible. The energy of the crowd was unmatched. Highly recommend arriving a bit early to secure a good spot on the grass, and definitely rent a lawn chair or bring a blanket to make yourself comfy. A phenomenal place for a summer concert.

I traveled to see the Ne-Yo and Akon concert and was impressed with the Amphitheater. The parking situation was well thought out and allowed us to leave from a variety of different gates. We waited a short amount of time to leave in comparison to other venues I’ve been to. The weather was brutally hot, but the misting stations make the wait bearable for those unfamiliar with that type of heat (me). The food and drinks were good and prices were costly, as they usually are at concerts. The seating allows for a variety of budgets to be able to see the shows, with lawn seating and optional chair rentals to near stage seating. Overall I am impressed with the Amphitheater and enjoyed the concert so much.

Had a great time at the John Melloncamp concert. We were under the pavilion when the monsoon came through and got everyone wet. Concert was paused when the rain was hitting performers on the stage. Great place to see a show. Intimate and well thought out. Fully staffed, full size bars on both ends of the venue make getting a drink quick. Taco bar outside was good. Sound is good and the lights are pretty dated but I do not know if those things are the responsibility of the house or band.

such a cool venue, i’ve seen all my favorite smaller artists here. the under 21 section can be a little frustrating when it comes to the amount of space available in the venue, but it obviously has its purpose for being there.

Luis

A friend invited us last minute to “One Night Only” at Crescent Ballroom, and the concept was genuinely fun: musicians sign up, get paired with other artists at random, and perform three original songs plus one cover for a single night. The venue itself is intimate and it filled up fast—expect limited room to move, a small stadium-style seating area toward the back, and open standing room up front. They do have a bar inside and another outside, which helps, but it was still pretty crowded. Overall, an okay experience that was elevated by the creativity of the show. I’d be interested to come back for a different act to see if the crowding and flow feel the same or if it was just the nature of this event.

Luis “Mr.Kopriti” Glinos ☆ 3/5
Angel Zepeda

Not a good experience me and my girlfriend didn’t get to go inside because apparently it’s a 21+ event but my ticket didn’t say that anywhere. The entrance security was giving us a hard time when I explained multiple time and even let him touch my phone to look at the ticket and zoom in to he fine print and he still couldn’t find anything that said to bring an ID or a 21+ event. This was for a STFKR concert that was being hosted here at the crescent ballroom. Please do better next time for future concert attendees.

Sarah Hilland

Super intimate venue to see your favorite up and coming artists. I’ve done meet and greets or come just for the show, and I still definitely recommend buying advanced entry. The line can get pretty long. It is downtown, so parking can be challenging. The venue is ice cold inside, so if you’re not directly in front of the artist dancing your heart out, you will get chilly. Bar is quick and makes a great amaretto sour. Merch desk is perfectly located, and I’ve never had to wait long. The bathroom is pretty tiny, and a line can develop, but it’s not too terrible. Sound is fantastic! Even at the back of the bleachers, you are ridiculously close to the artist.

Just saw Ak-Chamel there. Great show. Amazing sound. Spacious enough. Clean. Lighting is austere, but i prefer that actually. I’ve periodically been to this place many times and played here in bands in the 90s when it was the Mason Jar. But it’s actually nice to not have to deal with sleazy Franco and all the metalheads and strippers from Cheetahs. I actually prefer the Rebel Lounge.

I’m at concerts at least 4x/month. I love rebel lounge. Steve runs a great establishment. Parking can be tricky if you have any accessibility requirements, however, there IS parking at specific businesses around the venue for general attendees. Most of the staff seems great and friendly. There are a few super cranky folks who bring down the mood and seem miserable to be working around people and live music, but, otherwise good. Drink selections, both non-alc and alc are great. Bartenders are wonderful. Layout is a little tricky because of the venue size, etc. Super clean, great sound, love it over all.

I’m a wheelchair user and went to a show here tonight. I made sure to get more information about their accessibility, since I couldn’t find any online. Before my injury, I never had any issues here. The pros: They have an accessible stall in the bathroom and most of the doors are at least 3’ wide. The staff tried their best to be accommodating. The cons: There’s no ADA section to watch the show from. You can’t see while seated in a manual chair, and the crowd runs into you regularly. I told them about the gates at other venues that are used for ADA sections, and they told me they only use those during shows that are open to all ages, because of the bar. I could have parked my chair by the far wall to lessen being run into, but then I wouldn’t have been able to get through the crowd or get a staff member’s attention to be ushered through the crowd. If you want the option to pee or leave, you just have to have deal, I suppose. I left before the show ended. Since my spinal cord injury, I’ve been to: The Van Buren, Crescent Ballroom, and Valley Bar. They’re a variety of sizes and yet they all have a gated off wheelchair section that allows for you to actually see the stage and protects you from being run into by audience members. (You may not think there’s one at Crescent, but if you get there early, they can hook a gate to the stage to allow for an ADA section when needed.) The staff could have been set up for success if there was an ADA section protocol in place. The Rebel Lounge’s actions, by not having a way to set up an ADA section, are communicating that they’d rather not do buisness with wheelchair users and the disabled population. Yikes.

Great place to enjoy live music. The hustlers are an energetic, talented, and entertaining cover band. We had a great time! The drinks and service are good. The one thing that could have made the atmosphere better is removing some of the TVs or just turning them off after the soccer game to better see the band.

I have never written a bad review in my life but I felt so upset I had to write this. I went to Copper Blues with a group of friends and we sat at the bar. The bartender came over and handed us menus. We decided we all wanted green tea shots and saw the option to make it a party bus (which serves 4-6) for $35. My party was a group of 7 so we assumed the bartender would serve us 6 shots. However, she only served us 4 shots. When you buy green tea shots individually they cost $7. The $35 party bus was a worse deal ($8.75 a shot) and I pointed it out to the bartender. She got annoyed and said “yeah I guess so? You’ll need to give me 4 cards then to pay for them individually” We each gave her a card and she left and took the drink menus with her. Clearly, she no longer wanted us to be sitting at her bar. Completely unprofessional and I am very disappointed in the service. I enjoy Copper Blues and my friends had never been there before. I was excited to show them this place but they left disappointed with the service. If you’re going to market something as a deal, it only makes sense if it is cheaper for the consumer not more expensive. I am surprised the bartender got visibly annoyed with me when I pointed that out and even more surprised that she took the drink menus with her.

Update: Saw Wayne Hancock again. Show was amazing. Staff was awesome. Just a great night overall. I highly recommend catching a show here before they close next year. Just an awesome spot that will be sorely missed when its gone. This was my first trip here. I went to see the Lazy Aces and Wayne the Train Hancock. The venue was a pretty cool place. Its small but in a good way. The acoustics weren’t bad at all. The staff was pretty friendly except the guy at the door. He wasn’t rude by any means, but looked like he had just sucked on a lemon. The music was fantastic. I love Traditional Country and Swing music. The Lazy Aces were great. They are a local band and I would highly recommend seeing them if you get a chance. Wayne was awesome. We brought our tickets in advance quick and easy online. Off street parking. I’m not sure if they have a parking lot but we found parking off the street. I could see parking being challenging closer to show time.

RECOMMENDED! We love to support this place! At the Nash they support and encourage students to study and embracr jazz music and offer scholarships. We go see Francine Reed the first Sunday of each month. She is such a vibrant, beautiful talented and professional performer with a soulful voice you can only love!

A good ol’ fashioned jazz club in Phoenix Arizona. How delightfully unexpected. High backed booths, little drink tables, jazz standards. It really feels like another place and time. The Nash brings in an impressive roster of national acts, but at its foundation is the Charles Lewis quartet, built around this 90 year old pianist who will outlast us all. He’s truly a marvel to behold. The rest of the quartet seems to be whoever is available on any given Thursday, but no matter what, they’re tight. Look, they noodle around more than my personal taste, but if you like good jazz for cheap, they’re there every Thursday. The dress code is casual, this is Phoenix after all, and yet the people who dress up might have the right idea. It gives the atmosphere a sheen of timelessness. I don’t smoke, but I kind of wish smoking was allowed in there just for the vibe. Please note, there’s a full bar and little snack snacks but not a full dinner service here

Nonprofit location committed to jazz performances. Venue is small, but seating is arranged strategically. Bar has limited options and can be slow, but the staff is also composed of many volunteers. Definitely worth checking out a live show – they have weekly recurring performances and summer camp.

A few days ago me and my boyfriend went to The Nash Jazz Club for the first time. We saw a beautiful live performance that night for about three hours. I highly recommend you all check this place out if you love jazz, music, great atmosphere, and great service. We’ll definitely be coming back!

An Absolute Local Favorite! This bar is hands-down one of the best spots in town. The live music is consistently amazing—great sound, great energy, and always the kind of performances that keep the place buzzing. Whether you’re stopping in for a casual night out or planning to stay awhile, the vibe never disappoints. The food is just as impressive. Everything is fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care—perfect bar food elevated to the next level. It’s the kind of menu that keeps you coming back to try something new every time. And of course, the experience wouldn’t be complete without Brooke, the best bartender around. She’s friendly, attentive, and an absolute pro behind the bar. Drinks are always perfectly made, service is fast, and she makes everyone feel welcome—truly someone who elevates the entire experience. If you’re looking for great music, great food, and top-tier service, this place checks every box. Highly recommend! 🍻🎶

Such a fun place! Live music was fantastic! Bartender was so nice and the drinks affordable. The whole place has a great vibe! Love the MC that announces the bands. Weekends there is the most amazing food vendor outside. Definitely my favorite place!

Quintessential dive bar. Ladies night on Thursday and live local bands on the weekends. Prices are very reasonable. But here is a shout out to the ladies who serve the libations. You won’t find a friendlier staff anywhere.

Frequently asked questions about event bands in Phoenix

How much do bands cost for an event?

The cost of hiring a band varies significantly based on the size of the group, the duration of the performance, and the specific requirements of your venue. In the Phoenix area, prices are typically influenced by the band's experience level, the complexity of their equipment, and whether you require a full set or a shorter appearance. It is common to receive quotes that range from modest fees for acoustic duos to premium rates for large, high-energy ensembles.

How do I go about hiring a band for an event?

Hiring a band involves identifying your event's needs, selecting a style that fits your theme, and securing a contract with the performers. You should start by determining your budget and the type of music you want, then research local talent to ensure they have experience with your specific type of gathering, such as a wedding or corporate function. Always confirm technical requirements like power supply and stage space before finalizing the booking.

    What is an event band?

An event band is a musical group specifically hired to provide live entertainment for private or public gatherings. These groups are versatile and can be tailored to different atmospheres, ranging from background music during a cocktail hour to high-energy performances for a dance floor. They are designed to enhance the guest experience and provide a professional soundtrack for various milestones and celebrations.

What is the difference between an event and a concert?

The primary difference lies in the audience interaction and the purpose of the performance. A concert is typically a large-scale public production where the focus is solely on the music, whereas an event band provides entertainment integrated into a larger program, such as a dinner, reception, or corporate gala. While a concert is a destination for the music, an event band is a featured component of a larger social gathering.
