A local staple! I’ve loved Chino Bandido since I was young, growing up in Phoenix. I just love how they mix their Chinese and Mexican heritage and make something new with their cuisine. The owner and staff are always so friendly and the price is right for the amount of food you get. And a free cookie? Come on now!

I’ve been coming for over a decade. The new location is a huge upgrade- same great flavor! Ask for a sample if you’re not sure what you want. I like it spicy so I always get the Pollo Diablo.

Just had lunch there. First time since they moved from 19th ave and Thunderbird. The food was great and plentiful for the price. But what hit me the most was the impeccable friendly pleasant service by Lorenzo behind the counter. If we could have more people like Lorenzo, we could have a wonderful country.

Had an amazing experience here. It was my first time and they walked me through the menu, step by step. Ordering was a smooth process. Food came out hot and efficient. Great quality food as well. The jerk chicken has the perfect amount of spice. The extra care to make fresh baked cookies to was an incredible touch. Overall fantastic experience.

We used to like this place a lot. Now it’s just eh. The staff were nice and attentive. The atmosphere is dry and empty in the restaurant. The food was okay. The teriyaki chicken was dry. The cookie was delicious as always.

Had high hopes with the reviews the food was not very good i will say the jade red chicken and pollo diablo were decent maybe a 6.5/10 the jerk chicken in the quesadilla that as recommended was really bad almost inedible . Probably wouldnt come back

The service here is always great. If you’ve never been here, they are always willing to help and guide you with ordering. …We used to eat in at the old location, every now and then. The food seemed much better, as was the quantity, years ago. There was always plenty for leftovers. …At this new location, it’s either hit or miss. The chile relleno was good, but it lacked flavor on the coating. The Jade Red Pork and Chicken is still good, as was the rice and beans. Try it for yourself. We love the menu variations.

Excellent as always. Parking on front, side, and back. It’s super popular and well known for authentic, good Chinese food. Large restaurant. Quick, great service and yummy. Nice large portions. Whenever I’m in town this is my favorite go to. Enjoy!

The honey walnut prawns (shrimp) was the star of the show and the wonton soup was a happy delight. The wontons were thick and flavorful though the broth was heavy with a green lettuce/cabbage/possibly bok choy flavor if you don’t like that kind of broth style but everything else we got was delicious. Flavorful, appropriate spice levels to our needs, fresh, and in great portions that can be saved for take away for an additional meal later. The crab puffs were pretty flat looking upon arrival and definitely have more cream cheese than crab meat in them which is a little unfortunate but again, still very tasty. Service was very attentive, polite, and quick making empty plates on the table spend very little time sitting there. Multiple people checked in to make sure we liked our food and before we even were ready to depart, we had items we’d finished working on boxed up and ready to go which was awesome. Absolutely would come back to try other many wonderful looking items on the menu including what I wish I had also ordered, the Prawns and lobster sauce platter which after trying the honey walnut prawns: has got to be amazing. I’d also love to try their bbq beefs and Mongolian beef to name a few options for next time 🙂 Definitely worth the stop in if you can find parking (lol). Enjoy your visit! 🙂

China Chili provided a delightful dining experience during my recent visit to Arizona. The establishment offered a comfortable and immaculate environment, and the service was generally commendable. However, I must note two minor issues: the presentation of the receipt was somewhat abrupt, and my request for sweet tea resulted in the delivery of raspberry sweet tea, which was not to my preference. On a more positive note, the culinary offerings were exceptional. The curry chicken, accompanied by the 10-piece wings appetizer, was particularly satisfying. While the wings were excellent, the addition of a dipping sauce, such as ranch, would have further enhanced the experience. My brother thoroughly enjoyed his beef and rice with wings. The pricing was quite reasonable, and the portion sizes were generous, easily sufficient for two individuals. I highly recommend China Chili for both lunch and dinner; it will certainly be a destination I revisit on future trips.

Thought by having it to be father’s day it would have been a great first experience but could say the host and server was the only nice thing. Food wasn’t worth the $35 and sad to see that you can’t even get a drink with that price plus even if it was a kids small something but got nothing. Last experience and the kids can’t even get a drink

We’re staying at a nearby hotel for the month, and this has been hands‑down the best food and service we’ve experienced the entire time. The black pepper filet was unbelievable — perfectly cooked, incredibly tender, and the sauce with the shishito peppers was so flavorful I didn’t want the dish to end. Please never take this item off the menu. And then there’s Marco. He is exceptional in every way. His service is fast, attentive, and genuinely thoughtful. He noticed the moment we finished each course and cleared plates immediately without ever interrupting. He knew the menu inside and out — portion sizes, preparation, recommendations — everything. That level of confidence and detail is rare, and it made the entire experience feel effortless. Marco stands out from the crowd. He’s warm, professional, and has that natural hospitality instinct you just can’t teach. We’ll be asking for him every time we come in. This was the best dinner and overall dining experience we’ve had in a long time.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing experience! The food was fresh, flavorful, and made to order. The chicken was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and covered in a delicious sauce. The fried rice was excellent, and the soup was fresh, comforting, and full of quality ingredients. The vegetables were fresh, crisp, and perfectly cooked. The service was outstanding—friendly, attentive, and very fast. Everything arrived hot and fresh. I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for delicious Chinese food with generous portions and excellent customer service. I’ll definitely be coming back! 🥢🍜⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I had been told about this restaurant by a couple of friends from work. My wife and I decided to give them a try, since our previous favorite Chinese food place has dropped their food quality under the new management. We waited about 15 minutes to be seated. The place was full but the service was prompt. The cream cheese puffs were outstanding! The for our meal we ordered the Orange Chicken and the Happy Family. I also ordered BBQ Pork Fried Rice. Everything was delicious and my Wife and I left beyond pleased with this restaurant. I highly recommend this establishment.

I am in town from out state working. Was craving chinese food. After some research, I decided to go with Wongs. I walked in and was actually surprised to see how cute and clean the restaurant was. It was lunch hour on a Saturday with a decent amount of people dining in. The staff was SO friendly. My take out came in a box which I thought was genius if I’m being honest and more restaurants need to do that. It was wayy easier to carry and transfer in my car back to my hotel. I got the Mongolian beef combo. Came with side of white rice, two cream puffs an egg roll, and egg drop soup. Price was fair given the portions. The white rice is bland in my opinion but everything else was very delicious!! Highly recommend!

Great food. No, incredible food… Walked in during a saturday night around 7pm and it was busy. Probably a 5-10 min wait for a table for 2. Dining room is large and clean, plenty of room to accommodate a variety of party sizes. We had the walnut shrimp, and the Mongolian beef. Turned them into a combo for +$5.50 (worth it). The portion size was more than fair. We took home two boxes as we couldn’t finish it. Currently eating the leftovers as I write this. Cost for 2 was just shy of $65. Honestly not bad at all. The food was outstanding. The service was outstanding. 10/10 would recommend. Oh, bonus points for those of you born before 1995. There’s a payphone in the same strip mall. Thought it was cool to see in 2025

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Wong’s Restaurant is an absolute gem! The food is fresh, flavorful, and always served hot. Every dish we tried tasted homemade with authentic flavors and generous portions. The orange chicken was perfectly crispy with just the right balance of sweet and tangy, and the Mongolian beef was tender and savory. The fried rice was packed with flavor and not greasy at all. Service was excellent too!!!! friendly, fast, and attentive without being overbearing. The restaurant itself has a warm and welcoming atmosphere, perfect for family dinners or a casual night out. Prices are very reasonable for the quality and portion sizes. If you’re looking for delicious Chinese food with consistently great service, Wong’s is the spot. Highly recommend and will definitely be coming back! PS. That’s soup is to die for.

This is almost 5 stars for a reason. Great food. I had the beef onion in brown sauce. Was great. Wife had a shrimp dish. The 5$ add on for a combo is great but be wary of the mustard sauce. It is hot! Plenary of food and lots of rice. The staff is very good too! Had my drink refilled at least three times while sitting here.

I was looking for a chic place to eat after picking up my vegan friend from the airport. The food was very good overall, she had some excellent vegan options and we both really liked the Brussels sprouts and the whipped tofu was great on the salad. Staff was pleasant and accommodating. She had the drunken noodles and I had the XO noodles. She really enjoyed hers. I didn’t realize mine would be so spicy. Still fresh and delicious food in a upbeat place.

The place was great and welcoming until I asked if I could have a clipping from one of their plants. Any plant person knows we love to share. The plant was very stringy and I would have been doing it a favor. Plus plants grow so well. I asked very kindly explaining that when I visit a city I like to take a plant clipping home with me. I have many and its hard to find a new variety. This plant was beautiful and more than enough to clip without affect the look of it. The hostess or whoever she was told me that she thinks the manager would be very upset if I took a clipping. She didnt even ask, she just dismissed me. But seriously the food was great and the service was amazing. I just wish I could have had that clipping.

Best kept secret on a Saturday afternoon- enjoy cold sesame noodles with veggies like gastrique onions, etc. in the summer with the protein of your choice(my choice was grilled shrimp). Check out the specials on the wall. Relax with the drink of the moment. Pretty In Pink is up now & pictured here. Im a gin fan, so usually order a classic cocktail which is an Aviation. The bartenders are all great mixologists. They can mix you anything. Just give them your flavor profile. The service is attentive, even for just one person. They handle groups also(good manners to make a reservation though). The Gilbert location is also excellent.

Took my family and we enjoyed ourselves. My 6 kids are ages 1 to 12 and they only charge $1 per child age. Adults $15.15. All of our buffet purchase cost also included drinks for us. Food was decent, and fresh. Would come back again.

I was put onto May Garden by a coworker who has been coming here for nearly 20 years. He swore by it and I must say he, and it, did not disappoint. I’ve only been twice (so far), right when they open. Both times were exceptional. The food was fresh and ready for the picking. I love that the selection has variety but is limited (compared to other buffets). I tried a little bit of everything and all of it was delicious. My favorites were the Pork fried rice, chow mein, chop suey, sesame chicken and beef and broccoli. The sesame chicken is literally BOMB. It had the perfect crunch and the right amount of sauce to complement it. The only critique I can give is that the Egg Drop soup was a little salty for my preference and the vegetables in the Beef & Brocolli were a little too “soggy” (not in a bad way, I just prefer a little crunch with brocolli and carrots). Overall, May Garden is a gem in Phoenix and will leave you and your wallet satisfied after a visit.

Once upon a time long, long ago this was a great place to dine in or take-away. Service was great, food was desirable and take-away was the same with some basic restrictions applied. Growing up, my family dined here a few times a month. As I grew older, my appetite and likes changed but the food had not. Well, not like it has now. The old man is rude, the food provided for take-away and the portions are worse than getting a frozen meal from Pei Way and I don’t like that place. I thought I would try again on 8/31. Prior to that, it has been close to 6 months as that experience was bad. The “onion rings” and “fried zucchini” are less than that of a frozen grocery store option. The zucchini is mush in the ‘fried zucchini” and there is doubtfully one ring of an onion in the “onion rings”. The batter to vegetable content is easily 9 to 1. I opted for the “broccoli and beef” ( a few pieces of very thinly sliced beef with carrots and a large amount of overcooked broccoli. It was wilted and had no texture. The carrots were still crisp which was welcoming. I also asked for the “lo mien” which is subpar. The noodles are not overcooked but it lacks flavor and any additional things. Very few onions and a few shreds of carrot were all I received. Unsure of the flavor though you can taste the fish sauce and see the oil. To that, I added the “orange chicken”. How can I further say “worse than Pei Way”. No flavor, over sauced and bland as bland can be. The final piece is the ONE lonely egg roll that I received. The egg rolls are okay and usually over fried. The fact that I received only one is typically but again, I went in with hopes of a small change if anything. There was no sauce for the egg roll, 4 packets of cheap soy sauce which always goes in the trash, 1 fortune cookie that followed the soy sauce and a very useless fork. The one take away from this is that they at least provide worthy napkins which is far more than I can say for most restaurants. Take away is a $1 less than dine in where you can have all things including a drink, soup, salad, jello and so on. You will pay extra for fried wonton strips or anything else that is included in the dine-in buffet. For myself, I am unlike those that eat a large amount of food in one sitting ( you can observe the size of many). Dine in is not for me. I get more meals from the take-away though I will not return after 40+ years of eating there on and off. Cut backs and greed is doing places like this in. They tried to expand and failed. Now what used to be a big go to place is also failing. I have run into many while waiting for my order who have experienced the same thing. It is sad though when it closes, I won’t feel the same as I did with Blakes Lot-o-Burger, Bob’s Big Boy, Big Apple, Chen n Wok and so many other places many of use grew up with.

Great Wall is such a fun find! 😊 I came here on a Monday around 1:30 PM, well after the usual lunch rush, and was pleasantly surprised to find out they serve Dim Sum all day. They also have a regular menu if Dim Sum isn’t what you’re craving. The minute I sat down, the Dim Sum cart came around with so many ready-to-eat choices. Within minutes, I had WAY more food than one person could possibly eat! 😂 Everything I tried was delicious, and now I already know what I’m having for dinner tonight and lunch tomorrow. ❤️ The building definitely looks like it has been around for a long time, but honestly, I think that gives it its own character. There’s plenty of parking, which is always a plus. That said, the restaurant could definitely use some updating. Overall, great food, plenty of choices, and a fun Dim Sum experience—even on a Monday afternoon. I’d definitely come back! 🥢🥟

Visited Great Wall Cuisine while in Phoenix. First off, it’s only fair to say this review can’t compare to my in-laws’ famous and highly rated upscale Chinese restaurant — which also happens to carry Great Wall as part of the name. That said, expectations adjusted, this spot delivers a solid yum cha experience for Arizona. As you pull in, you’ll notice it’s located in an unassuming strip mall. Inside, the atmosphere is exactly what you’d expect — controlled chaos, with traditional steam carts rolling through a packed dining room filled with large family tables. The service is hit or miss, and with dim sum you often want your favorites right away, so sometimes you just have to wait for the cart to come around. Tried a variety of dishes. The Cheung Fun has always been a favorite of mine and it was decent. The Shumai, Har Gow, Char Siu Bao, Lo Bak Go, Taro, and of course Dan Tat (egg tarts) were all good. I think I’m officially done ordering Wu Gok though — that one didn’t do much for me and probably won’t be on my list next time. Almost forgot, you can’t have yum cha without Gai Lan, and as usual it was good — honestly a dish that’s hard to mess up. Overall, the best dim sum I’ve had so far in Arizona. Saluti

Food was not good, Everything was cold. Staff struggle to understand and communicate in English. We paid $218 for a meal. Extremely overpriced for the food. They offer you the food with no menu in English or American prices. Everything is in their language as well as their prices. We will not be returning however, fun first time experience. I would say to save your money!

DUMPLINGS ONLY SERVED lunch times. M-F 11a-3p S-S 10a-3p Went for Chinese new year will definitely be back again. Food was really good I recommend 11, 18, 19, 21, 22, 29, 16, 17, 43, 49, 52, 65, 74, 75, Get the hot tea, vinegar, and chili oil for the full experience. Use soy sauce sparingly. Can’t really go wrong with anything that has BBQ pork. Definitely recommend at least getting a sweet dessert and either a fried rice or noddle dish

My first time here and glad I came with a Chinese speaking friend as most of the wait staff do not speak English. I have not had dim sum before and really enjoyed the atmosphere and delighted in trying so many different dishes. The food tasted very authentic.

Popped in for Dim-Sum on a Saturday (feeling nostalgic – as kid in the Valley, my family and family friends would hit China Doll on weekends). Great Wall is pricier than I’d expect at dim sum. It’s pretty good with a solid, wide selection. Service is pleasant and practical in that loud, hectic cantonese way. They serve all the normal favorites. My kid love steamed tsa shai bao and I’m all about daikon radish cakes and sticky rice tamales with chicken. The egg tarts and spring rolls were a bit of let down, though still ok. If variety is your thing, this is worth a try. I think I slightly prefer the dim sum place on the east side at the mekong plaza, but on the west side of town, this a great option for dim sum.

This Chinese food was surprisingly very good. I’m from California so I’m really picky when it comes down to Chinese food they aren’t stingy with their portions which is another plus I will definitely be back. I heard their jalapeño wings are really good so I definitely want to try those next time they do offer lunch specials and dinner specials so depending on how hungry you are you could choose from those. There is a whole restaurant, but they don’t allow dining Inn. It’s only a window that you could pick your food up. That’s the only thing.. if you are able to order ahead, I would suggest that instead of ordering when you get there cause there is a bit of a wait time because it’s such a popular place

The jalapeño wing with fried rice dish was solid, that being said I also got the combo plate (#5) which was okay .. overpriced for what it is … I don’t understand the hype for this spot … way better Chinese food in Mesa and east valley … price isn’t any different than that of a sit down spot.. I paid ~$50 for all this food

Honestly, I came here bc everyone kept raving about how good their food is. Im from NYC, so its hard for me to write reviews for the Chinese food out in az. This place has no settings, they dont really answer their phones, and even if they do, they will not make your food until you get there. There’s always a wait because many people come here. I had their spicy wings on their lunch menu (L22) and beef with broccoli (L10) it was good. But I dont know if ill make the drive again. Bring cash, bc they charge for credit cards.

I usually go here for their sesame chicken lunch special. Since the first day I had it. I can explain how good the sesame Chicken deep fried texture is so good. I have never had the sesame Chicken done this way. I will usually call it in and then pick it up during my lunch. I would of never expected to be this good. The lunch special comes with fried rice, egg roll and a rangoon. The best meal you can get for $10.95.

I ordered the orange chicken with shrimp fried rice and a side of crab puffs and everything was really good. The portion size did surprise me so I did have leftovers but that’s only better. It is takeout only but the food was worth the wait.

The food is delicious. My favorites are Jalapeño chicken wings, pork frid rice and sweet n sour pork. Portions are good sized and the price is reasonable. The one thing to note is that this is a walk up window, you order then you either stand there outside and wait or you go back and sit in your car, there is very little shade to be had so be prepared. It is in the hood, you may see some housing challenged people milling about.

Absolutely fantastic experience at Wong’s Chinese Dining. The General Tso Chicken was perfectly crispy with just the right balance of sweet and spicy sauce, and the House Lo Mein was packed with flavor and loaded with fresh ingredients. Portions were generous, everything came out hot and fresh, and the service was friendly and fast. Easily one of the best Chinese food spots I’ve been to. Definitely a 5-star meal and I’ll be coming back again.

The last time I’ve been here was probably 20 years ago so I was glad to see they were still in business. The food did have an authentic flavor. The fried rice was a bit dry though. The service was pretty good, checked on us a couple of times. Prices are reasonable and you get good bang for your buck here, especially with the lunch specials. Probably why it stays busy. All in all, I did like this place and will swing in again when I’m in the neighborhood.

First and last time I visit. Even when I attempt to make chow mein at home I do not use angel hair pasta, I expected more authentic noodles. The vegetables were cut in large chunks rather than bite size. There was plenty pork in the fried rice, but I needed more flavor. Place was packed when visited at 2:30 so theres plenty of folks who like this place.

Very polite and quick service. The dining room was clean. everyone looked happy and we’re visibly enjoying their meals. We ordered chop suey but I don’t think it wasn’t what my husband expected so he ordered orange chicken as well. The flavor was good but it was like an old batch of chicken mixed with a fresh batch so some pieces were over done and some were perfect. Not a deal breaker but could have been better. I had the chicken curry, very delicious 👍🏾. The egg drop soup is perfect, it has a lot of veggies and tofu in it. We like it here best and we went to Liyuens and new garden! If you don’t get the combo meals the items on the menu come family style. We didn’t mind having extra food we have plenty of kids at home and they enjoyed the food as well. The prices are not outrageous and all around it was a good experience and I’m glad we live nearby. This is our new spot for sure, thank you for having us

The triple delight was delicious at the Iron Chef off of Tatum Blvd in North Phoenix. It’s a nice combination of chicken, beef & shrimp with an assortment of different types of vegetables and a nice brown sauce. $14 for this dish I think it’s really a spectacular price for this type of quality.

We came back after 3 years of not coming to this restaurant. They haven’t loss their special touch. Specially the service deserved an A+. Our waitress was SOOO attentive to my family and she even allowed us to get some to go (although All-you-can-eat normally is not a to-go option). I wish more people knew of this place.

Iron Chef is one of those rare places where you feel like family the moment you walk in. The owners and staff are incredibly welcoming and the service is always outstanding. The food quality and vibe are perfect. Some of our favorite dishes include the lo mein noodles, the cucumber salad, the katsu chicken and the yellowtail jalapeño —it’s honestly way better than Nobu! I loved the customer service here! They are very inviting. My first experience was due to a member at work complimenting their chicken katsu. I was having a bad day so I figured why not? So glad I did. It’s the best I’ve had and my next visit I tried the hand rolls. I will always come back! 🙂

We sat on the patio and were greeted very quickly and with a great smile. Our server, Cindy, was extremely friendly and guided us to enjoy some great items on the menu. We had the yellowtail jalapeño and it was delicious. We had several rolls. And while one of them did not land well on my personal palate, she recognized it quickly and offered us a replacement option. Very attentive service and nice presentation of the food as well. And the extra roll we did not enjoy was boxed and she asked us to give it to our family and friends.
