I had both knees replaced this past year. Cortney and her staff worked me back into shape quickly and without pain. I really appreciate their attention to detail, everyone is not the same, I may have pushed myself more than others would have. They saw this and progressed my exercises as needed. If you live in this area I highly recommend this ATI location for your Physical Therapy needs. Thanks again to Cortney, Ed, and the rest of the staff. They all pitch in to get your PT session designed for your needs and your level of comfort. If you do see me again it’s for a hip, but I hope not. HAHA! Thanks again.

I have immense praise for all the therapists at the ATI on Happy Valley Road. I am working with Garrett on my Frozen + shoulder and we have made tremendous degree progress, he is always pushing it forward in a very positive manner – and it’s working! I worked with Kaiya on my delayed TKR recovery journey, she had every bit of passion for my journey- and it was needed to get to my desired 30+ degrees, a success that needed both of our passions. Kaiya gave me my mobility back – a priceless gift! Kayla gently took care of me with my TMJ jaw- it was completely corrected ! Katie always took great care of me supporting Kaiya in various appointments, I so loved talking about our dogs! And Lauren has been a world of help- suggesting excellent doctors for opinions/second opinions and so much more. They all treat you like family, they guide you through your journey in a positive manner give you the support to continue healing there and at home. It’s a pleasure to work with all of them, I am thankful for their above and beyond help in my life ❣️

Working with Lauren at ATI Happy Valley for pelvic floor therapy has been such a positive experience. She’s incredibly easy to talk to, attentive, and makes what can feel like an uncomfortable process much more manageable. I appreciated how personalized the treatment felt and how clearly she explained the exercises and goals along the way. I’ve already noticed meaningful improvement and feel much more hopeful and confident moving forward. Definitely recommend Lauren to anyone looking for compassionate and effective care.

I can’t recommend my physical therapist , Lauren enough! She always goes the extra mile at every single appointment — it’s not just a job to her. She takes the time to really listen, explain everything clearly, and adjust my plan based on how I’m feeling that day. I never feel rushed. She is a wealth of knowledge. She sends me home with modified exercises, or resources to keep my progress going between visits. Her genuine care and attention to detail have made a real difference in my recovery and confidence. She always tells me I’m the ” perfect imperfect patient”. I recognize I am a complicated case and she has the desire, the patience, and the spirit to truly help me , help myself.I’ve seen steady improvements in strength and mobility, and I always leave appointments feeling motivated and supported. If you’re looking for a physical therapist who truly goes above and beyond every time, Lauren and her team are the one’s for you. Thank you for your outstanding care!! PS I seldom ever submit reviews, but Lauren and her entire team at Happy Valley have earned my review. Thank you so much!

Kaiya, a PT, DPT, at the ATI Physical Therapy Happy Valley location has made my post-ankle surgery rehabilitation a success. She is incredibly smart, highly knowledgeable about post-surgical recovery, and genuinely caring. She knows how to push me towards physical success, while ensuring I stay safe and comfortable. On top of that, the entire support staff is wonderful. I am always greeted with warmth and positivity, making attending physical therapy appointments an encouraging and uplifting experience.

I unfortunately was not given the opportunity to experience the care at this facility due to the rude interaction with the scheduler working 5/14/26 around 10am. As a healthcare worker, I appreciate listening to what my patients say and trying to offer them the same care/experience/ respect I would expect. I asked specifically by voicemail for a callback on a specific number to discuss the appointment. The scheduler decided to call back a different number( which thankfully I still was present for to take) When I asked if the vm I left was fully listened to and why the number I specifically listed wasn’t used, the scheduler could not give an answer. Instead of trying to correct the situation, she decided to hang up and end the call. Very professional. I’m sure the PT I was intending to see was great. The facility was recommended by my MD, yet I will never know as this individual scheduler ruined this opportunity. I would hope the administration of the establishment would consider who they are using to interact with new patients to prevent this from happening to someone else. I currently do not recommend this facility.

Banner physical therapy I must say the therapist are great my son likes working with all of them. But for the front office. After they say last name it goes to it’s going to be this much. We have a no collect insurance with a HSA contribution so we don’t pay out of pocket until it’s gone. Well they want us to pay regardless even though they were paid in full. The office Manager needs more home training how you speak to people. If you want to be treated rudely come on down.

I came for my first visit and left without being seen. This is not how I perceive the Banner name but maybe times have changed and customer service is on the decline. I signed in and the young man at the counter asked me my name and that was it. I sat in the waiting area for over 45 minutes and because I had another appointment I went up to let the staff know that I was going to have to reschedule my appointment, the young woman asked my name… again and asked me if I had spoken to anyone and I explained to her the same thing I just typed above. All of this while another patient had his phone full volume with a very audible colorful language filling the the room. Imagine having your elders having to be subjected to stuff like that. And still not be cared for. Please try and do better.

This was my first time going to Banner Physical Therapy. I started at the end of last year. My encounters and the extreme lack of customer service with the front office staff was poor. Communication was poor. Since my time coming to this location, no one communicated costs or coverage. I heard about it for the first time today, March 24, 2026. It has been over two months since I filed a billing dispute, which appears to be fraudulent billing practices. This facility does not use the Banner Health System where everything goes through Banner Health. This facility uses the Banner name but a different billing system. On my EOBs it shows that I am being repeatedly charged for the same thing multiple times, which I was told that this facility cannot see. Because this facility’s billing kept giving me the run around, I reached out to the physical therapist, who did not respond. I was billed incorrectly and without my knowledge, which I believe to be fraudulent billing. Banner needs to remove its name from this facility because it does not provide its high level of customer service by giving all costs and coverage information prior to service. I have communicated for Banner Physical Therapy to not contact me and to cease all communications. DO NOT GO TO BANNER PHYSICAL THERAPY. I DO NOT RECOMMEND BANNER PHYSICAL THERAPY.

My fad had a stroke back in October and so he had to do physical and speech therapy. I think that with people with those condition there is already a lot of situations/emotions that they can not express, so would expect the therapy people there to be more understanding or to be more kind. That was not experience my dad encountered. Instead he left there upset and sad because they would not help him to understand. Instead they thought it was appropriate for 3 people to come and surround him and demand certain things from him. Since then my dad has been discouraged from going anywhere for the help he needs.

The Banner Physical Therapy facility in Phoenix has turned out to be an awesome and delightful place to accomplish needed therapy and treatments. All of the staff I encountered were friendly and respectful looking to satisfy my every need. My appointment was handled in a timely manner and my technician, Allison, proved to be knowledgeable and quite professional. We arrived at a reasonable treatment process and if any further needs were exposed, she offered to consult by phone and make room for any further appointments. I’m new to physical therapy and I have been seen/treated by Abigail and Ryan. They have both been great. Very caring and they are more practical about my healing process and what I can do in regards to the specific type of work I do. As opposed to the ortho who seems to just rush things. I really like coming here and seeing the progress being made. Definitely recommend them.

The staff and DPT’s are fantastic. Paige is a pro and helped give me the tools to fix my shoulder issue in 2 sessions. However, seeing what is billed to my insurance despite being “in network” is truly one of the most preposterous things I have ever seen. Blue Cross and Blue Shield was charged almost 500 dollars for my initial session which did not last more than an hour, and included nothing but a bit of shoulder manipulation and me doing basic exercises. I was also used as a guinea pig to train another doctor in training for both sessions. 500 x 40 hours x 52 weeks is 1.04 MILLION dollars per year. I genuinely hope you are paying your DPT’s more than the median salary because they deserve it, but my guess is it is going into some corporate executive’s pocket. 500 dollars an hour for basic physical therapy is comical. Again, the staff/doctors are not the issue- the system itself is

Services are good, but the billing is frustrating. I was told I would pay 110 a visit, which was true for the first several visits. Randomly then hit with almost 300 in fees. Idk if this is leftover “non-member” charges from previous visits or because I let them cup me once (they did not mention there was a fee). Either way, a lot of this seems pretty deceptive. I wouldn’t go here if you are out of network with your insurance.

Dan and the whole team have provided me with executional care. Dan’s keen attention to detail and his vast knowledge and expertise of the body create a healing space that is safe, accurate, informed, adaptive, and supportive. He knows how to walk the line between being sensitive and gentle and how to help manage/accept discomfort and provide appropriate challenges with growth in mind. His communication is direct, clear, honest, and compassionate. Dan is innovative and a natural leader in the field. I also work regularly with Maddie. Her guidance and instruction is always encouraging and motivating and her bright heart makes tough days better. All the providers are kind, present, and well qualified. The facility is always uplifting, colleagues flow well together (and have a great sense of humor and play to life), and their shared passion for the work is apparent and creates a sense of community for both practitioner and client. The folks at the desk are also wonderful. They consistently offer a warm welcome, are kind, patient, and efficient. They changed my life! I was in a car accident last January, and my lawyer initially referred me to a chiropractic office. Unfortunately, I believe the chiropractor made my back worse than the accident did. In January, my back doctor recommended Endurance. I arrived slightly hunched over and in constant pain, but within just three visits, I could tell I was making progress and the pain was starting to subside. I’ve now been going for over a month, and my back pain is nearly gone. Jessica and the entire staff are friendly, professional, and excellent at what they do. I highly recommend giving them a try. Even if surgery has been recommended, they may be able to help you avoid it.

Robert Haines

My doctor, a very engaged and helpful GP, recommended ATI specifically as I sought non-surgical support for my sometimes debilitating sciatic pain. I had a gymnastics accident 46 years ago and have had lower back and sciatic pain off and on ever since. I just completed 15 sessions (once or twice a week) and my pain level is now about a 1 and I feel like I have my life back – and not just my ability to sleep, walk, jog, and dance – but also my ability to focus on the things that truly matter to me. Of course, I had to do the homework – something that has challenged me in the past – but severe chronic pain can be a good motivator! My homework was maybe 20 minutes a day and was largely without equipment – and the one piece I needed (a band) they gave me. I want to specifically call out Quinn, who oversaw all the work and used a technique I had not heard of previously, “visceral manipulatio.n”, to great effect in both detecting where work was needed and assessing severity of condition. I am very happy with the results amd can recommend this facility to anyone needing what they provide. It also helps that the atmosphere is friendly and familiar – they remember you and actually care about you, your results and your quality of life. 5 stars, well-earned.

I recently completed my therapy on my second rotator surgery, the second shoulder was much worse than the first but my surgery and healing process was much better than the first. I had a different Surgeon and I believe that made a difference as well but Connor and Jen at CST were very attentive and really new my file each and every time I had an appointment. I went to a different business the first time and until CST I did not know what was missing. I was given a massage at the site most of the sessions and Never was I massaged at the other place. I believe this was very instrumental in my healing process and breaking up the cartilage that can be restricting movement. My goals going in were met and in much shorter time than the first and with far better results in movement that is pain free! This shoulder the surgeon originally thought was going to need a “Reverse Shoulder Rebuild” look that up SCARY….! so I Had seven holes and a slice under my armpit 5 inches long. When I first took off the bandages I said ohh I am so Scr….d but not the case. I was moving more faster and and heavier in far less time that my first shoulder with only 3 holes for entry and nothing cut under my arm. Connor and Jen kept pushing and changing up the regimen and now I have about 95% movement and still improving with the time. Thanks to Connor Jen and the team at CST I feel I am going to be as 100% as possible. A job well done!

All PT providers have 4 walls, tables, machines and therapists but the people at 360 on 24th St in Phoenix are what makes this location so special. I work with Frieda and Payton most days and they are professional, kind and attentive. It isn’t even that which makes them stand out, they really enjoy their job! Every time I go there, all of the staff are happy. You can feel it in the air. These people are truly amazing. I actually look forward to physical therapy. That makes healing so much better!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Happy Customer

I didn’t feel like I was a priority nor did I get any relief. Too many patients to one physical therapis all the time. I wish they would have a limit to how many patients they can have at one time. I would also not recommend this place if you have any emergencies or get sick at any time. I was told that I could wear a mask and still come in or everything would be cancelled. It makes no sense to force someone who is sick with a fever to come in, be physically active, possible get physically worse, or get others sick then be threatened with having all your appointments cancelled if you don’t. That is a horrible practice.

I am working with Israa Anwar (PT) regarding my knee pain. She is so professional and knows what she is doing. Even after going for a couple of sessions I feel so good while Walking and my pain is gone too. I would highly recommend her and this clinic.

Excellent, professional and friendly team here. Payton fixed a lingering shoulder issue I’d had for over a year and prevented me from working out that muslce/joint. He also fixed an ankle sprain and got me back to 100%. The whole group here is great, highly recommended!

I’ve been in and out of physical therapy for as long as I can remember. Being diagnosed with arthritis at 17 was never part of my plans, and going from provider to provider without lasting progress was discouraging. Then I found Empower. Thank you for allowing me to be your patient. Every physical therapist I worked with was kind, knowledgeable, and truly took the time to understand my needs. Because of your care, I regained my mobility, built my confidence, and—best of all—I finally got to run again. 😁 I can’t fully express how grateful I am. Thank you for changing my life and giving me a reason to keep moving forward. You made a lasting impact, and I’ll always be thankful. God bless you guys🙏🏾

I’ve been coming here since late November or early December of 2020 for physical therapy after my left shoulder replacement November of 2020. The staff is AWESOME. Always a great time doing my exercises and getting a little bit of a massage on the most affected part of my shoulder followed up with some time on a TENs unit. They have all sorts of equipment to assist in all types of physical therapy. They even have a pool to use if needed. The first photo is of a hand bike which is what I’ve been starting on for the past month or so.

I had an excellent experience and saw great results after a few months of physical therapy at FYZICAL. My physical therapist, Allison, was knowledgeable, supportive, and truly exceptional. She clearly explained how each exercise would help me, which made the process easier to understand. I began therapy for balance problems following cervical spinal surgery and initially felt very unsteady and constantly at risk of falling while stepping onto curbs, bending over, or even just walking. By the time we finished, I was able to maintain my balance with confidence and return to normal daily activities. The facility is beautiful, and the staff are friendly and welcoming. I am so glad I chose FYZICAL!

The team at FYZICAL is fantastic—always friendly and professional. I’ve had a few health issues over the past year, and I truly believe the care I received here played a big role in my recovery. Sandi is especially great—she’s incredibly knowledgeable and takes the time to explain everything clearly. Her support and expertise gave me a lot of confidence throughout the process.

Allison is amazing. Very skilled and knowledgable. She got me from barely walking to back to the gym. Also Mary at the front desk is a true patient champion. She makes sure parking spots are available and fights insurance. Incredible, caring team!

Allison is great to work with. Patient, explains everything clearly, meets you where your abilities are and has a positive attitude about helping you make progress. I ask her probably at least 5 ridiculous questions a session and she has taught me so much without judgement. The approach here is also fantastic with full 1:1 attention during your session. There’s no rushed feeling. Early morning appointments are my favorite when high street is still quiet. If you go in the afternoon leave more time to find parking. There’s a free garage that people may not realize is there across the street.

Outstanding therapy sessions that resulted in increased ROM, better balance, and a return to normal daily activities after complete knee replacement surgery. My therapist, Allison Henry, is supportive and encouraging while clearly identifying areas that need improvement. Allison made me want to come to therapy and reach my goals. She is an expert in explaining specifics that allowed me to understand some of the complex movements I needed to perform in order to return to my daily activities. FZICAL made my recovery so much easier.

I have been going to Fyzical for the past three months due to the fact that I broke my left foot last year with required surgery, splint and cast for many months and was unable to put any weight on that foot. This past year I had to have surgery on my right foot that required a revision. Again, I was immobile for several months. In March I started physical therapy with Allison two times a week for the past three months. Allison was very knowledgeable and patient. I have now regained strength , mobility and balance. I am now able to do everything I did prior to injuries. I can now walk my large dog 4-5 miles a day and have returned to full work out at the gym. I couldn’t say enough good things about Fyzical and its nice clean facility! Many thanks to them!

Frequently asked questions about physical therapists in Phoenix

How much does physical therapy cost?

The cost of physical therapy varies depending on your insurance coverage, the frequency of sessions, and the specific treatment plan required. Many providers in Phoenix accept various insurance plans, which can significantly reduce out-of-pocket expenses. For those paying out-of-pocket, costs are typically determined by the complexity of the treatment and the length of each session.

How do I choose a physical therapist?

You should choose a physical therapist by looking for a provider who specializes in your specific condition and has experience with your goals. It is helpful to check their credentials, read patient reviews, and ensure they are licensed to practice in Arizona. A good therapist will take the time to explain their treatment approach and collaborate with you on a personalized recovery plan.

What is physical therapy and what are its benefits?

Physical therapy is a healthcare profession focused on improving mobility, managing pain, and restoring function through specialized exercises and manual techniques. It offers numerous benefits, including increased strength, better range of motion, and faster recovery from injuries or surgeries. Patients often find it highly effective for long-term rehabilitation and preventing future physical limitations.

How long is physical therapy and how often should I attend?

The duration and frequency of physical therapy depend entirely on your specific injury or condition and your rate of progress. Treatment plans typically range from a few weeks to several months, with sessions occurring anywhere from once a week to multiple times per week.
