Great place for fitness, family and water activities. Clean facilities, gym workout room, and huge hot tub for adults. Large indoor slide, pool and lazy river for kids.. More outdoor with a playground and splash pad area to beat the heat. Also gymnasium for sports and Free refrigerated water bottles available. 2 parking lots. Parking usually only gets a little full during tournaments, but still parking spots available a little further away.

The indoor pool is great. We arrived later in the day so didn’t have a chance to visit the rest of the facility but it is a big place. I seen a library, an outdoor splash pad, indoor gym, and a arts and catfish crafts area. You pay a fee for the day which covers access to the whole facility. Our family of 5 visited for a total of $69. The pool has a big slide our 8 year old was able to enjoy and a rock wall. Outdoor splash pad, library Very friendly family atmosphere.

I love this place!!!! I’ve only had the luxury of experiencing their work out area but they definitely offer all sorts of entertainment. There’s a pool table, foosball, an arcade, a swimming area that might as well be a mini water park and a whole lot of other amenities to make your visit a special one. The gym is awesome!!!! The offer a variety of machines to use including a free weight area. Definitely found it easy to work every part of my body. There’s also a track above the gym area with machines set up around the track in case you wanna workout with a little more privacy, including an area set up for stretching and other exercises.

The pool was very clean had a good time with my family. However I will say their prices for their snacks are outrageous! I paid around $36 bucks for two small cans of soda a little Powerade and two 75 cent bags of chips. As the gentleman behind the counter smirked and says “at least there is easy access “! Wow what a way to represent a place where tons of children come for safe community fun! It’s already enough that you are charging them $11-$15 for them to come hang out for the day!

We attended the Nick and Kelly Heart Event at the Kroc Center hosted by Phoenix Childrens Hospital, and I just want to say how grateful I am that they put this together. After my daughter’s fourth open-heart surgery, finding a place like the Kroc Center — welcoming, fun, and full of activities for kids — meant the world to us. It was an awesome event, and the heart behind it truly showed. Thank you for making families like ours feel seen and supported.

I drove far because this looks like a great place and I’m very disappointed! They let me pay not letting me know that almost nothing is available to use. The internet is down, we can’t rock climb the pool sticks are broken like what’s the point in having this place open and on top of that charging parents to wait inside that’s ridiculously crazy to me!!

This place is amazing. I took my grandkids, we had 7 people in our group the total for entry 89.00. The kids swam, rock claimed, played in the game room, and just ran around and had fun all day. The building is clean, the restrooms are clean, The employees are always helpful and accommodating. Thank you for having my family we had a great time. I would definitely recommend.

This gym offers a very motivating and energetic environment for fitness enthusiasts. The range of equipment is excellent, covering everything from cardio machines to strength training gear. The trainers are professional and take time to correct your posture and guide you properly, which really helps beginners. The locker rooms and facilities are kept clean and hygienic. I also like the flexible timing, which makes it easy to fit workouts into a busy schedule. The only minor issue is that it can get a bit crowded during evening hours, but overall it’s a great place to stay fit and healthy.

I came here after going through physical therapy and was looking to continue that here at the gym while starting up new exercises. I have bad legs that are getting better with each visit and I recently started working on mid and upper body to get the whole body better in both weight loss and muscle gain. The staff has a very positive energy and mindset which makes each visit enjoyable! I’m glad I chose to come here after my physical therapy sessions were over.

Came here with a friend for a trial session and ended up signing up the same day. The energy inside feels motivating without being too intense. I appreciate that the staff walks around helping quietly instead of shouting instructions. Their smoothie counter after workouts is honestly a nice little bonus.

Nice Gym, all the things that you find in a planet fitness, well kept, full of people, nice atmosphere, the staff is welcoming and supportive, but a little small, the only downside. That sometimes tends to be overcrowded.

The staff here are worthless. They are more concerned with your footwear than a man half your size barking at you and intimidating you because you asked if he was using a machine. I’ve seen several people get into altercations at this location and the staff does nothing.

This is by far one of the cleanest mid-level fitness centers I’ve visited. Angel did an outstanding job maintaining the facility during my time there. I was genuinely impressed by his work ethic, attention to detail, and consistency. I spent nearly two hours there on Thursday, and he was actively and vigorously cleaning the entire time without slowing down. It’s clear he takes pride in his work, and it definitely shows throughout the gym.

I have been to a lot of gyms, and I can confidently say Kyle at the front desk sets the tone the moment you walk in. From the second you enter LA Fitness, Kyle greets you with energy, professionalism, and genuine respect. It is not just a “scan your card and move on” type of interaction. He makes members feel welcome. He handles questions quickly and clearly. He keeps things organized. He keeps the vibe positive.

Just started going to this gym. When I first started they had sports on the TVs and I could ask them to put a game on and they would! Asked the other day with new management and they said it has to stay on LA fitness TV? Used to be a nice laid-back gym now that are the rules. Feel like it’s a jail cell workout instead of your friendly neighborhood gym

I normally go to the planet fitness in Cheyenne WY. And that’s the only one I have been to .aoni really wanted to compare the 2 so from the hotel it was about an hour ride on the bus system .and then walk in the heat . The gym was very clean cleaner than the Cheyenne location .the service from the front desk From Kiara and the manager Zues outstanding they actually greeted me with a voice I could here unlike Cheyenne.also no dust on the walls unlike Cheyenne which only dusts as high as an arm can reach .the men’s locker didn’t stink unlike the Cheyenne branch which since I started going there the ventilation system doesn’t work .and none of the equipment was broken and torn .unlike the Cheyenne branch.Kiara didn’t just stand at the counter she filled the cleaning bottles adjusted the equipment back to how it should be and made sure paper was stocked in the dispensers .thank you Planet fitness Phoenix for showing me how it should be done

I have been calling for a week now to speak to the manager about a billing issue…. their fault not mine. I have been told numerous times that he’s returning customers calls and I should hear from him shortly. WELL….. I have yet to hear from the manager. I haven’t been able to go to the gym for 3 weeks now because of the issue. I can’t believe the lack of customer service or the staff is not authorized to handle billing issue yet the manager can’t call back….. very frustrating. Update 4/06/26 I have yet to hear from the manager or to be able to reach him. I have called everyday for month and he’s either gone, left for family emergency or when he is there I get “he’s currently returning customers call, you should get a call from him shortly.” Still haven’t heard from him. Customer service is horrible at this club. I go to the gym late nights Sunday -Thursday…… how is it no employee is allowed to handle billing issues yet the manager is not available for long periods of time that prevents members from attending the gym now for almost an entire month. Contact member services to just be told the are individually owned so I need to contact the club. REALLY!!!! Makes me regret my decision to leave EOS to join Planet fitnes.

I stopped in for a 1 day pass since we are on vacation. They charged 20.00 and gave me 5 dollars off. The manager was very nice and wanted to help. I like the Gym area but the Dumbells only went to 60lbs and they do not any free Bench so I had to use the Machines. Overall the place is really clean and I love the mirrors..

Most people only notice a shift when something goes wrong, which is probably why overnight employees don’t always get the credit they deserve. I’m in this Planet Fitness late at night all the time, and Armond and Dara are a big reason the place runs smooth. They greet people by name, stay busy, keep the gym clean, and make the atmosphere feel welcoming every time I walk in. You can tell they’re about business even when nobody’s watching. A good overnight crew can make or break a gym, and those two represent this location the right way every night.

Planet Fitness in Phoenix offers a traditional gym experience with a focus on affordability and accessible equipment. The facility features updated treadmills and spin bikes, providing a functional space for various fitness levels. While the layout has improved for better flow, the atmosphere can become quite warm during peak hours.

The center maintains a mixed service standard regarding hygiene and staff responsiveness. While some employees provide dedicated cleaning support, maintenance of the shower facilities and water stations remains inconsistent. It serves as a convenient local option for those seeking basic workout amenities.

Overall, I had a good experience at this Planet Fitness. The staff was friendly, the gym was well-maintained, and the equipment was in good condition. My only complaint is that the men’s shower area wasn’t very clean during my visit, and the soap dispensers in the showers were empty. Other than that, everything else was great. I hope they can improve the cleanliness and keep the soap dispensers stocked.

This is my 3rd update because I keep trying to give this gym the benefit of the doubt and while they’ve done some recent updates, they keep missing the mark. I don’t know what happened, but it’s getting hot outside and the gym is not cooled down very much inside. It’s like their AC isn’t functioning well. I’m surprised that no one has passed out from the warm and stuffy atmosphere inside this gym. Not only that but when you try to get a cool drink, the one and only water bottle filling station is out 1/4 of the time. That’s not good. Honestly I only come here because it’s really close to my home but once Crunch finally opens, I’m cancelling my PF membership to go there. PF’s membership dues are about the same price anyway, so why not go to a gym with many, many more amenities? With that said, they recently added new equipment such as 3 new weightlifting platforms, new and updated treadmills, and new spin bikes that play scenery while you cycle. They still don’t have heavy bags though. Overall, it’s meh, but traditionally economical and clean- even though the machines break down quite a bit and it’s not located in a great area of town. Right now peak times appear to be between 3:30pm and 6:30pm Monday through Thursday. The weekends are pretty dead which is nice.

Im sorry i like this gym but i have to shower before work sometimes and today (8/11/26 at 6:09pm) was one of those days and the shower was smelly and smelled like mold/ mildew, the drain had hair in it and so did the entrance to the shower. The floor was covered in a slime of a dirt and whatever else, i couldnt do it. The hydro massagers are great and so is the gym equipment, but would be great to use the showers, i seen 4-5 working employees but no one cleaning.

I’ve been going to this Planet Fitness for close to 4 years with a Black Card Membership and this morning my bike was stolen from out front while being chained up and locked. The front desk has full view of the front being 20 feet away with huge picture windows. I told the staff behind the desk and instead of being helpful he immediately said they are not responsible for stolen bikes, he didnt say oh that’s horrible or let’s figure this out it was complete dismissal. I will not be renewing my membership and will be taking my business elsewhere. I recommend everyone takes their business elsewhere too. They lost a loyal customer today

I visited this gym plenty times. There is this young man, I think he said Kasim? I am in from 6pm til someday 9pm, I’ll go out to my sprinter and return at 1am – 3am and each time, he’ll clean the shower for someone if they ask, the stalls if they ask, the sink area.. That’s what I appreciate. I included a few photos That employee there now really knows what he is doing with the cleaning. I operate cleaning businesses that sends porters out to clean company hotels and he cleans better than my tenured employees in the mens. Great work!

This is the best planet fitness that I’ve been to in the valley. I haven’t been to all planet fitness locations but I’ve been to several. Hands down this is the best. It’s larger, they have more machines, the machines have rep counters and timers, it’s never too busy here, the black card spa has a lot of chairs so never a wait time for that, staff are friendly. It’s great.

I visited three Planet Fitness locations in the Phoenix area over the past three days, and this one was by far the best of the three. The staff here was friendly and welcoming, which I appreciated. That said, the Phoenix locations I visited don’t seem to match the standard I’m used to at my home Planet Fitness. My home club is consistently clean, bright, well maintained, and very well equipped. In comparison, this location felt smaller and didn’t have a circuit training room. Some equipment had rips in the upholstery, and a few machines I regularly use at my home gym (and even at the Planet Fitness in Albuquerque) weren’t available here. I’m a big fan of Planet Fitness overall, which is why the difference stood out to me. Hopefully the Phoenix locations can continue improving to match the quality many other Planet Fitness clubs provide. Until then, I may look into another gym option when I’m traveling to Phoenix.

Poor customer service. Went in to cancel membership. I was informed there is a balance on the account for the monthly membership and late fee. Asked if I can have it waived as a courtesy, since I haven’t used the facilities for over 30 days. Shannon the front desk rep immediately started to shake her head no before I even got through with my question. This was very poor customer service, instead of hearing me out, I was dismissed immediately and informed payment will continue to be collected. As paying member since 2023, I feel the lack of communication and empathy from the employee is very disappointing.

Certain areas are spaced out nicely, while others make you feel like you’re on top of people. The several separate training sections in along the back wall are great! They allow for different training styles. Thumbs Up! ALSO, STAFF, you need to address the dress code. When did Crocs and open toe shoes/sandles become acceptable?? Liability & strictly forbidden…Lawsuit waiting to happen…. Also, GM’s, staff and regional mgrs, your superiors send people in without your knowledge to observe and report! Just a polite heads up!! Other visits are coming…

Joined this gym after going to other area ones and being disappointed with the tours. The gym wasn’t crowded, appeared clean and the staff at the front extremely friendly. Unlike the other gyms however, the staff member took his time. Answering questions, slow tour of facility and researched if my insurance would cover my monthly fees. I joined and have never regretted. Raven continues to be helpful, friendly and knowledgeable on all my needs. Working out at a gym in your mid sixties is a much different experience than when you’re younger. He and the rest of this staff are always welcoming and continue to support me during my time there

Oh, what a delightful experience this has been! It’s truly impressive how the owner prioritizes their wallet over customer satisfaction, especially when it comes to overcharging and failing to cancel memberships. The level of incompetence is simply unmatched. It’s amazing how they can’t even manage to cancel a membership correctly, leaving my daughter to waste time and gas running back and forth, just to be informed of an outstanding balance that might go to collections. What a thoughtful gesture to suggest that her bank will refund her, as if that somehow makes up for the inconvenience. How does it feel to completely take advantage & steal from a young woman who’s just trying to navigate adulthood? It’s clear that the owner and staff need a crash course in basic business practices, including customer service. If you’re looking for a place that values its customers, I’d suggest steering clear of this establishment.

Fantastic location for planet fitness! Lots of parking available and absolutely brand new equipment. And absolutely immaculate as well. The gym looks so good and you can see the quality. The bathroom was decently clean which can be a problem sometimes at planet fitness. It was cool. Go workout and leave. The girl at the desk didn’t explain how to use the hydro massage machine, but whatever. I’ll get in again at another location. I guess she assumed I knew already.

Very well maintained and it seemed to have slightly more equipment than another location I usually go to. Staff was friendly and greeted me with a warm welcome. And the layout of the equipment is easy to navigate and concise. Idk, maybe i sound nitpicky, but I really like this location 😃

I have to give a huge shoutout to Kyoko at this Planet Fitness location — she is truly one of the sweetest humans on the planet. Every time I check in, she greets me with so much warmth and genuine kindness. It honestly makes my whole day. Kyoko is the kind of employee who goes above and beyond without even trying — she’s just naturally that awesome. Her positivity, friendliness, and the way she remembers people make the gym feel welcoming and comfortable. I’ve been coming to this location since I moved to Phoenix 4 years ago – it’s my safe zone! Planet Fitness is lucky to have Kyoko, and I’m so grateful every time I get to chat with her at check-in. 💜

Great gym! Clean gym with smiling people at the front desk. Excellent start to a work out. Their equipment is new looking and they have plenty of machines. The crowd of people here come in all shapes and sizes. Excellent place to put in the earbuds and get some self care completed!

Jorge and the lovely gal that also works really early in the morning are amazing! They always greet you with a smile on their faces and are very helpful! They are great and hope management recognizes what great team members they have. Thank you for always being available, friendly, and helpful! You two are awesome and I appreciate it!

I have lived all over the US and this Planet Fitness is top 3 of the biggest, cleanest and has the most engaging employees. There is lots of parking, a big lobby entrance and many options for cardio. The black card area is THE nicest I have seen..to date. One of the best perks is when you travel, or move around a lot, you can go to any Planet Fitness anywhere and through the app even do your own transfer. Different pricing options for those on a budget, or someone like me who likes all the extras.

My friend got me in as guest . I love this gym . Nice and clean . Before we got there we stopped at Mr Maple Donuts and got a Redbull Infusion drink and that gave us energy and we had a great workout. The staff were so nice and friendly. The gym was clean and organized. I will be back to sign up for a membership .

Great, clean gym with 0 broken machines. Pretty quite while I was there. Friendly staff! There was also a group of women working out with a trainer. They seemed to be having a good time if you’re looking for something like that 😊

This Phoenix location offers a large facility with a unique layout and diverse equipment options. While the gym experiences high traffic, it provides a functional space for various workout styles. The spa area and specialized recovery zones offer a distinct experience for members.

The facility maintains a 24-hour operation, though cleanliness and staff responsiveness can vary. Members can expect a functional gym environment with multiple machines, though some areas may require more consistent upkeep to ensure a premium experience.

Great location! It was my first visit to this location, and I was impressed. Everything was clean and well maintained. The layout was different than most PFs that I’ve visited and felt much more functional. The “spa” section seemed more spacious, and I truly appreciated the CryoLounge+. Night time is the right time to visit!

We’ve been working out here for 3 months I almost got a job here but we have to move again next month. They got a lot of new equipment since we been here. So i gave it an extra star. The staff is nice and they keep it pretty clean

This was my first time visiting this location. It is huge and states it is 24 hours open. The customer service is good. There is a wait for machines because this is a busy gym. There are no trash cans located by the door when walking out, which is inconvenient when leaving because I have to go in the opposite direction of the door to get to a trash can. Other than that, I recommend this location.

Horrible location, not the greatest equipment, no ankle straps to lend out and terrible customer service. I am visiting from another state and I have the black card membership. I purchased an energy drink (should’ve been half off) I didn’t sign off on the charge to my account. Saw charge later. Called gym, and female who assisted had an attitude and would not give me her name to report to manager. Staff seems lazy, restrooms were dirty. Not the experience I am use to from back home.

Pretty decent pf. The layout is a bit weird for me, as there is a huge empty space in the middle of the gym. The more focused cable machines on one side and cardio/ plate loaded equipment on the other. Locker room is spacious but didn’t “feel” fresh. It’s a planet fitness.. much like the rest. Only spotted one piece out of service but there were multiples of most machines so that’s a plus. Had to scan myself in, so can’t rate the helpfulness of the staff

This Phoenix location offers a functional training area and a diverse selection of machines and free weights. While the facility maintains a clean, well-cooled environment, some equipment shows signs of wear. The single-floor layout facilitates efficient circuit training, though the cardio section utilizes shared entertainment systems.

The customer service at the front desk is notably welcoming and professional. However, the facility faces operational challenges regarding security measures and inconsistent access hours, which may impact the experience for long-term members.

Em the GM & Angel were the nicest most professional and efficient people I have ever come across. They went above and beyond to help make me feel welcome valued and respected. Their customer service was 5 stars across the board. It’s people like them that made me sign up for a 1yr prepaid subscription even though I was hesitant! Thank you Em and Angel you guys are legit the best!

For the most part it seems great. It has an interesting layout and a fair amount of equipment. However, people are allowed to bring their dogs. And although I understand service dogs are important and we need to integrate them in our lives, it’s entirely different when somebody just wants to bring their shitty little dog and throw a service vest on it. Service animals are held to a high standard and some of the people here are so entitled that they claim their animal is a service animal when it clearly does not meet the standards. And then they walk the animal around and let it get pets like it’s a show dog. Honestly, I know that the kids running the front desk don’t want to deal with it , but somebody needs to talk to these people and tell them to act right.

Great gym. Clean, cold, well-maintained. The front desk staff and membership staff are very friendly (thanks Em!) but the aggressive personal training staff are unprofessional, at least over the phone. Parking is covered and easy to find. The gym isnt too busy between 7 and 11 am. I am so grateful for this gym!

This is a decent L.A. Fitness. Mostly solid, a few things would be nice. 👍 Lots of equipment, some getting worn but it’s well maintained. 👍 Friendly front desk staff and good members. 👍 Clean. 👍 All in one floor, I like the locations like this, makes it easier for me to move around when I’m doing circuits. ‘ 👍 Good functional training area with sleds, ropes, tires, kettlebells, barbells, etc. 👍 Good mix of free weight and machine options. ❓Cardio in good condition but does not have the individual entertainment (just shared TVs which require you have an FM receiver). I rarely use them (listen to music) but they are nice to have for some.

I have been a loyal LA Fitness member for 6–7 years, and this is extremely disappointing. I joined and continued my membership because of the facility access and amenities provided, including the basketball court. Recently, this location started closing at 6 PM because some individuals were reportedly sneaking in through the back doors and causing problems. I completely understand that safety issues need to be addressed, but the solution should not be to punish the paying members who are following the rules and paying for their memberships. Why should members who pay every month lose access because of the actions of a few people? Are paying customers supposed to monitor the back doors or guard the facility? That is the responsibility of the management. There are many possible solutions, such as improving security, installing additional cameras, monitoring access points, or taking action against unauthorized entry. Instead, the current approach is making loyal customers suffer for someone else’s behavior. I raised my concerns with management, but I did not feel like a real solution was being considered. LA Fitness should find a way to address security problems without reducing access for the members who have supported this club for years. I hope management listens to its members and works toward a fair solution. This version is firm but avoids language that could be dismissed as just an angry complaint. It highlights the key points management cares about: long-term member retention, fairness, and lack of a proper solution.

Frequently asked questions about gyms in Phoenix

    How much do gyms cost?

Gym membership costs vary significantly based on the type of facility, location, and amenities provided. Prices can range from low-cost monthly subscriptions for basic equipment to premium tiers that include specialized classes, sauna access, and personal training. Many facilities also offer different rates depending on whether you choose a month-to-month plan or a long-term annual contract.

What are the benefits of gyms?

Gyms provide a structured environment that supports physical health, mental well-being, and consistent fitness progress. They offer access to a wide variety of equipment and diverse workout routines that can help improve strength, cardiovascular health, and flexibility. Additionally, many people find that the community atmosphere and variety of available classes help maintain long-term motivation.

How do you choose gym shoes?

Choosing the right gym shoes depends primarily on the specific types of exercises you plan to perform most often. For heavy lifting, shoes with flat, stable soles provide a firm base, while running or high-intensity interval training requires footwear with better cushioning and lateral support. It is important to select a pair that offers proper arch support and fits comfortably to prevent injury during repetitive movements.

What is the difference between gyms?

Gyms differ mainly in their target audience, equipment variety, and the atmosphere they provide. Some facilities focus on bodybuilding and heavy weightlifting with large racks of free weights, while others are designed for general wellness, featuring cardio machines and group fitness studios. You should consider whether you prefer a high-energy group environment or a more private, self-guided workout experience.
