Nektaria Brownfield

I had a good experience going here for the first time. The man who helped me was very kind and actually worked with me and I was able to get my prescription at a lower cost for a 90 day supply rather than a 30 day supply, which was a big stress relief. The pharmacist made sure to check in with me to see if I ever took the medication and made sure to explain it in depth so I had a good understanding of the medication, how it works, and what side effects I may experience. They were all very knowledgeable and kind and made sure I was comfortable with the medication I was starting for the first time. I would definitely use this pharmacy again.

This place is so great!! Very professional, nice, and the over the phone prompts/texts are surprisingly convenient and fast (compared to a lot of other places). I will continue to give them my business!! Thank you!

I want to say that everyone I’ve encountered there is accommodating and nice. How ever the lack of communication is really bad I’ve tried using these guys again and again over the last 7 or so years. Every time I’m disappointed. With everything spinning out of control every human has the choice every morning to say I will do my best today at whatever i do. Call the customer, listen to the customer, communicate go above and beyond. I always go back just because I think they’ll be better this time but nope there’s always something that leaves a bad taste. As we sit today my prescription is late over a week.

PillPack offers a prescription management system designed to simplify medication adherence. While the service aims to streamline the organization of daily doses, some users encounter challenges regarding subscription management and initial setup requirements. The company relies on a specific logistical timeline for new accounts.

The experience varies based on individual needs, with some highlighting patient support and convenient packaging. However, others suggest refining the business model to ensure consistent billing accuracy and broader medication compatibility for all users.

This company keeps charging me even though I never ordered. Disputed 1st charge and won now they charge me again, never got anything from them soon as learned it was a subscription I cancelled, still got anothet unauthorized charge, will dispute again. I would never buy from such an unscrupulous company.

I gave them 3 attempts at getting my business. The service clearly has not been proven and they need to go back to the drawing board to re look at their business model. I finally got my 1st set a pills from them and this is how I received them. Don’t ask them to do ritalin because they can’t do it apparently. Also for your 1st prescription you have to get it filled at the pharmacy because they need a grace period to get everything put together of a few weeks. Which then means if you have an anabolic that you need to get guess what you’ll be going to the pharmacy like always. Don’t waste your time and energy with this company.

UPDATE: We’ve moved all our prescriptions to a small, local, independent owned Pharmacy and are very happy with being able to deal face to face with a human and get questions answered promptly… and the cost of our medications has been less than Pillpack! For Senior Citizens, I would definitely not recommend using PillPack if you expect any new meds or medication changes unless you like having your orders mixed up, not receiving meds on time, a lot of aggravation and time on the phone trying to straighten out problems. As the adage says” Buyer Beware” We’ve generally had a good experience with PillPack, but a recent prescription change for my Wife exposed a serious breakdown in coordination and follow-through. My wife’s doctor adjusted a dosage and sent two prescriptions—one to our local pharmacy and one to PillPack. Due to a misunderstanding, the PillPack prescription was mistakenly redirected to the local pharmacy, which caused PillPack to show the medication as already filled elsewhere. I contacted PillPack and was clearly instructed to cancel the local prescription and call back so they could transfer it and include it in her pill packs starting in May. I followed those instructions exactly. However, when I later checked the account, there was still no active prescription on file, even though my wife will run out of the medication within days. This required another call and re-explaining the entire situation from the beginning. The core issue is not the initial mistake—it’s the lack of ownership and follow-through after the problem was identified. We received conflicting information, and the resolution steps provided were not actually completed on your end. For patients managing multiple medications, this is more than an inconvenience—IT CREATES REAL RISK. I am asking that this be escalated to someone who can take ownership, confirm the prescription is correctly processed, and ensure it is included in upcoming shipments without requiring repeated calls Today’s call lasted 44 minutes and last week called twice on the same issue. UPDATE: Two days later…after being assured by two Pillpack Representatives and a Pillpack Supervisor that the issue will be resolved and overnighted…THE PRESCRIPTION STILL HASN”T BEEN RECEIVED On a 4th call this evening I was told according to Pillpack records nothing has been done yet. 🙁 This last representative was very helpful and said he will get the issue resolved and hopefully the prescription will be received before we run out of the medication tomorrow. I’m hopeful but at this point will believe when I finally receive the prescription.

PillPack: Brilliant Concept with TERRIBLE Execution I really want to love PillPack, but just can’t after several bad experiences. I have great admiration for the entrepreneurial history of this company; the convenience of their small “packs” (combining both RX & vitamins) is indisputable, and something I have been unable to find elsewhere. Unfortunately, their customer attitude service sucks, and as many other reviewers have said online, they are just not yet ready for primetime. Just because they are now owned by Amazon, do not expect Amazon customer experience. In general, I have been mostly pleased with the daily pill packets, and have used that service for over a year. My personal challenges have usually involved anything that is PRN or one-time orders. Most recently, I had checked the availability of a prescription back in March, and upon confirmation of stock, had my doctor submit the script. They kept saying it was “in process” only to finally tell me it was on backorder. I was unhappy and told them I got it filled somewhere else. 3 months later, and without any communication, the order shows up on my doorstep and my credit card got billed. It was a mess to try to get fixed, and in the end, they destroyed any trust they had from me for a mere $5 (telling me that if I would send them details of the calls, they would “listen to the recordings” and consider giving me the credit). No thanks; it was much easier to just take my business elsewhere. Caveat emptor.

This Walgreens is most efficient. Not only does it have a drive-thru, but if you go inside the window attendants at the pharmacy are very pleasant and helpful I was even asked if I was up to date on my flu shots etc. I was in a bit of a hurry so I had to decline. they are most efficient at the registers. Geraldine listened to what I needed and was able to reset the computer to take a different card very swiftly. I got $5 cash back from being at Walgreens loyalty remember? Brenda in the cosmetics department she was extremely knowledgeable and very kind, not judgmental whatsoever. I really appreciated her quick-fast customer service abilities and her knowledgeable skills on what the store had in stock etc etc etc,…. This Walgreens definitely beats a lot of the other Walgreens for sure as far as what’s in stock. The whole everything being locked up thing is kind of annoying but at least when you do have to get the service to get whatever you’re trying to get they don’t take forever like some Walgreens. And Brenda like I said in the cosmetics department is very awesome. 💯👌🏼🐱🤪🫰🏼🤗

The enshittification continues with their pharmacy forcing you through an AI phone tree that loops and loops and loops while you run out of your medications. Forget trying to contact the front of store for a simple transfer to a real human person either!! They don’t employ enough people to offer timely service, decent customer relations, or anything approximating their former reputation. Quit with the robots and pay REAL PEOPLE so we can get our meds.

The cashier was extremely busy because the customers were asking for help throughout the store. Nevertheless, he was not only efficient but very courteous to everyone of us. I had stopped at the register just to ask how to scan my barcode from the CVS app to self check out. Although he had to go elsewhere in the store to help the previous customer, he immediately returned and showed me how to perform the scan. A shout out to him for his friendliness, courteousness, and great customer service.

I regularly shop at this CVS because it’s the closest location to me. During my recent visit, I waited an extended time for a cashier named Christie, who was assisting in photo. She repeatedly told those of us waiting that she would come help us. After finishing and once I had already waited about five minutes, she came over only to direct me to self-checkout. I explained that I do not use self-checkout. She responded that this is how CVS operates now and said she would check me out at self-checkout so I would know how to use it next time. As a paying customer, I should not be pressured to ring up my own purchase when an employee is available and already stated they would assist. This was poor customer service, and I will be choosing to shop elsewhere.

I am changing my original rating. I had a very upsetting run in with an employee at this store who accused me of stealing, when I hadn’t, and had the proof that I hadn’t. I filed a complaint via email about the situation, and the store manager tried to contact me several times throughout the following month until he finally got ahold of me. His name is Jordan, and he was very kind. He helped fix the situation, and I am grateful for that. In this day and age, it’s not the norm to have the store manager reach out, especially repeatedly until they got ahold of me.

This CVS location in Phoenix faces significant challenges regarding operational reliability and service consistency. Visitors frequently encounter discrepancies between advertised opening hours and actual store access, leading to avoidable inconvenience. The pharmacy department often struggles with prescription processing, resulting in delayed fulfillment and unclear communication regarding insurance verifications.

Customer interactions can feel unprofessional and disorganized, with staff appearing dismissive during routine transactions. Improving communication standards and ensuring that scheduled hours are strictly honored are essential steps for this branch to enhance the overall shopping experience.

I’ve gone there an hour before closing not once, not twice, but five times now and each time this CVS has been closed. It’s a shame for such a reputable chain to lie about their hours, but both online and in store the hours posted are but being respected or honored by the employees.

Philip Glassmeyer ☆ 1/5

They tell you a prescription will be ready the same day, then quietly push it to another day in the app. No explanation until you chase them down—then suddenly it’s “insurance needs to be verified,” which should’ve been handled from the start. When they finally call, it’s just “the pharmacy” with no identification. Calls often end as soon as they begin. They don’t consistently confirm your identity, and it feels like they’re frustrated just doing their job. Disorganized, inconsistent, and frustrating.

Save your breath, Corporate Bot. I already know you’re “working to ensure posted hours reflect actual operations.” Spoiler: You aren’t. This location is a masterclass in gaslighting—the website says open, Google says open, the sign says open, but the lights are off and the doors are locked. Is it a pharmacy or a social experiment to see how many frustrated people you can lure into the parking lot after 9 PM? Unless you enjoy being stood up by a drugstore, steer clear. This is easily the most unreliable CVS in the state. It’s the only store in Arizona where the employees seem to treat the closing time as a “suggestion” rather than a schedule. Update the sign or hire people who own clocks. It’s not that deep.

I came in on Saturday to load money onto my card. When I arrived, there was no one at the register. I waited for several minutes and looked around, but still didn’t see any employees. After almost five minutes, a Black woman with braids finally came out. She didn’t greet me and instead just stared at me as if I was interrupting her. When I told her I needed to load money, she took my cash and checked each bill repeatedly, far more than what felt normal or necessary. The way she handled the interaction came across as dismissive and uncomfortable. As a Hispanic woman, I left feeling singled out and talked down to. The experience felt disrespectful, and I didn’t feel like I was treated with the same courtesy as other customers.

I’m from the East Coast and was in Phoenix on business. I stopped at this CVS to pick up a prescription for a family member and was genuinely shocked by how unprofessional this location is—specifically the pharmacy. The pharmacist was extremely rude from the moment I approached the counter and aggressively insisted that everything had to be handled digitally, with zero effort to explain or help. While I was standing there, I also witnessed her yelling at another customer over the phone about their prescription. Not firm. Not stressed. Yelling. Completely inappropriate behavior for someone in healthcare. After experiencing this firsthand, I read through other reviews and it’s clear this is a pattern—not a bad day. Multiple customers describe being spoken to in the same hostile, dismissive way. If you dread interacting with staff who treat you like an inconvenience, this is the place. To make matters worse, the prices for over-the-counter items are absurd—easily 2–3x higher than other CVS locations. Same chain, same products, wildly inflated prices. This location desperately needs management intervention. Between the aggressive pharmacy staff and price gouging, there is absolutely no reason to come here unless you have no other option.

The unwillingness to help and the lack of competency here is staggering. Trying to transfer some CVS scripts from one store to another, a remedial task at best. Or should’ve been. On my journey I’ve spoken with 3 virtual agents and two “humans”, guess where my prescriptions are still? The last person I talked to told me that my prescriptions and me, myself, do not exist. After convincing her that I do exist, she artfully blamed me for the situation. When I say artfully, I don’t mean clever or witty. More of a word salad that would work on someone with two struggling brain cells. Anyway, I was never able to convince her that my medication exists, so here I sit. Old store says talk to new store, new store says talk to old store. God forbid the two stores contact each other internally to resolve. Virtual Assistant(s) all had a meltdown. If I was an incapable person and my medication was life or death, I would be deceased. My friends, first we’re using a kiosk to order food, then we’re checking out our own groceries. Now we work for CVS’s logistics department. All of this while costs continue to increase. I’m really excited for their AI customer service agent to message me here below, that they are sorry to hear about my experience and offer me contact information so they can learn more about my experience. I do not need another task. Save your contact info. Just like the female pharmacist here that everyone is complaining about, this complaint is going nowhere.

The staff at pharmacy needs to be observed. I always have issues getting ahold of anyone in pharmacy, but would deal with it, even with the delayed medication fills. This time I was having issues again with the medication being filled and decided to transfer the meds to another cvs closer to my house. The app then informed me that I needed to see a pharmacist since they wouldnt be filled and that the meds were still under this location. I went to this place and was rudely “greeted” with a “what do you need?” I informed I wanted to know thale status of a prescription and before I could explain further the pharmacist cut me off saying, ” if you didn’t get a text then it’s not ready”. I then explained that I was aware of that but that the app seemed to be glitching and wanted to ensure it was being processed correctly and that they didn’t need anything from me. The pharmacist then says” then if you transferred it then contact THAT CVS” I then let them know that I can never speak with anyone and I was cut off again with her saying, ” that is by design, CVS made it that way to we can focus on pushing out product and not waste our time dealing with phones. Everyone always wants to call. Just check the app, you’ll get a text when its ready” This employee is seen on various occasions being rude and yelling to others inquiring about their prescriptions. I understand there are rude customers at times, but even when they are not, she is rude. She should not be allowed to speak that way to customers. The male employee there is nice, though.

The pharmacy is horrible here! Incredibly slow and rude. They were unable to fulfill my prescription, and I was met with attitude and eye rolling when trying to ask questions about why. Rather than clarifying with professionalism, both the drive through pharmacist and manager repeated the same dismissive phrases without any deeper explanation or apology for the inconvenience. 0/10 would not recommend.

very cleanly and the employees were nice but the cashier is very misled with the employee discount policy. i was told if i put my phone #, i didnt need to bring out my discount card to add the discount, so i naively kept up our small talk and didnt check the total. until the following day i noticed… i shouldve followed my own steps and brought out my card like always. cause even while linking my employee card and customer cvs account, it gave me issues getting it settled. i understand that with the correct circumstances it SHOULDVE worked but always bring out your card regardless.

This CVS should close. It’s unsafe for customers and employees. I avoid it at all costs but I had to pick up a package that was delivered here. As I was leaving I was cornered by an unhoused person who proceeded to touch me and then follow me to my car. As I pulled out they were banging on my car. I saw the woman inside in the window calling the police but also felt uncomfortable coming outside the store to step in. This was at 10am. I can only imagine how bad it gets at night. Please please consider closing this location to keep the community safe. 🙁

While I understand there a lot of unhoused individuals in this area, not everyone is a criminal and the one guy who works there is always so insane with how he speaks about customers and assumes everyone is stealing. I also heard him say they are not allowed to sell LAUNDRY DETERGENT to certain people. What kind of messed up thing is that. Human rights don’t exist at this CVS.

Got calls saying my prescription was ready. Arrived to pick it up day of my procedure and it was suddenly unavailable. Zero help. Only available the next day. What good is that? Useless pharmacy

Worst customer service ever!!!!!!!! Been with CVS pharmacy for over 10 years is and never had no problem until it looks like they changed something on their system on how they work. Juda Dt lane ask me to come back to the line having baby’s medicine an her hads telling is a wait time. Amy the manager can’t do anything as manager to provide good customer service to patients nor customers. Please don’t come to this location is the worst!!!!!!! I’m switching my prescriptions to a Pharmacy that treats you better not like numbers. They have the job because of us. What is to hard to provide good customer that’s why not the world is the people like that.

You don’t even deserve the one STAR!😒Save your breath, Corporate Bot.

The front store staff is friendly. The pharmacy is the awful. The staff don’t care about their job they have an attitude like customers are an annoyance. It’s been like this for 3 years. They need to hire people that actually care.

Avoid using this pharmacy at all costs. Pharmacist are well past checked out and the store operate with the lowest level of customer service possible. The pharmacist and techs will do everything possible to avoid being any kind of helpful or even at some points even courteous. The only hope is that corporate notices a downfall in business and actual does something to address this poor performing location.

This is the worst customer service I’ve ever had from any retail organization Edit: Now that the corporate folks saw my headline, here are the details: I need my prescriptions. A doctor has decided that I should take medicine to feel better. CVS finds EVERY excuse to not give me medicine. They check my insurance EVERY time I go in. They make me call my doctor EVERY time I go in. I asked them 100 times to merge my name accounts. Somehow that is impossible to do if I have prescriptions in the system. They sent me a text alert to come pick up my meds because wow, they were finally ready. When I get there the pharmacist shames me for needing the medicine by insisting i can’t have the 6 pills they have on hand because my scrip is for a larger amount. I had to almost arm-wrestle the extremely difficult pharmacist to get that very little bit of medicine to help me survive the next few days. Now I will call them to see if i can have the rest and they will tell me I need a new scrip. CVS is so stupid and ineffective that I wish my insurance company would let me go somewhere else. CVS Pharmacy holds my life hostage just to be un-necessarily difficult in delivering my medicine. Please respond here, I will not humor your website any longer. I get no love or respect from your HORRIBLE company. Will update review when we get ANY movement in a positive direction but no one reading this should hold their breath because clearly CVS is waiting for me to pass away so I won’t bother them with all this silly medicine that helps me live.

CVS in Phoenix offers accessible healthcare and prescription management. While the pharmacy team demonstrates a strong commitment to patient care and follow-through, the physical facility shows signs of wear that may impact the overall experience.

The store utilizes digital integration for savings and convenience. However, navigating the automated phone systems and ensuring consistent professionalism during interactions remains a primary area for improvement to better serve the local community.

The service is always amazing here, I love the staff who are miracle workers despite being overworked and underpaid. I don’t understand why this corporation acts like it doesn’t have the money to avoid stores being run down into disrepair. The front door is broken and requires extremely significant force to open even from able bodied adults. It’s already difficult enough to access the pharmacy with all the store closures taking place locally while CVS is basically a monopoly. This really does just add insult to injury.

This is one of the best pharmacies we have ever used. The service is always fantastic. The pharmacists and techs have bent over backwards to help us several times which we have greatly appreciated. Despite clearly being overworked/understaffed, they are kind and helpful. The pharmacy team is also awesome with calling us back and following through on issues. The other employees in the store have always been helpful as well. The only reason I give it 4 stars is the place itself is run down and needs a refresh-pretty rundown inside and out!

This is not a direct hit at this CVS specifically but the ones that are participating in the pilot program where you can’t call CVS and speak to somebody that you must leave a message. What about people like my father who used to be a customer but we had to switch because of this specifically. Was unable to speek with a tracheotomy, underwent radiation on the neck messing up his larynx and airways so when he would leave a message no one would call back. He spoke in a rapsy whisper. Now I have switched and I have so much peace knowing if I have a question or need to speak with someone I can call and they will answer during this call (literally choose any pharmacy but CVS) – as opposed to waiting an hour to speak with someone. Now my son has never been sick he’s 3 and apparently I didn’t think to update his chart. Just had a telemedicine appointment to get a cream and now it’s at CVS. I can’t get the CVS app and I can’t call them to ask if it’s ready. So I just gotta go there and hope it’s ready.

Can’t speak to anyone about questions about a potential prescription. AI phone system only let’s you leave voicemails. Won’t be using CVS for prescriptions if they cant have simple customer service

I had a concerning and frustrating interaction with a pharmacist on May 5 at approximately noon. During this call, the pharmacist who assisted me communicated in a manner that I found to be unprofessional and discourteous. As I asked questions to better understand the process and procedures for fulfilling my prescriptions, her responses came across as dismissive and lacked the clarity and support I was seeking as a patient. I was respectful and patient despite her incredibly difficult behavior. At no point during the interaction did her tone shift toward being more helpful or accommodating. As a result, I felt uncomfortable continuing the interaction and ultimately chose to transfer my prescription to a different pharmacy, as I did not receive the assistance I needed. I believe that clear, respectful communication is essential in a healthcare setting, particularly when patients are seeking guidance regarding prescriptions, insurance matters, or fulfillment processes. Unfortunately, this experience did not meet those expectations. I do not recommend going to this pharmacy. Please avoid at all costs.

Frequently asked questions about pharmacies in Phoenix

    What is a pharmacy?

A pharmacy is a healthcare facility where medications and pharmaceutical products are dispensed to patients. These locations provide essential services such as prescription fulfillment, over-the-counter medicine sales, and often clinical consultations or immunizations. They serve as a primary point of access for medications and health-related supplies in the community.

What pharmacies are open now or on Sundays?

Pharmacy operating hours vary significantly depending on the specific location and its service model. While many pharmacies offer extended evening hours, some locations provide 24-hour service, while others may have limited hours on Sundays. It is recommended to check the specific hours for your local neighborhood to ensure they are currently open.

    How often are pharmacies inspected?

Pharmacies are subject to regular inspections to ensure they comply with state and federal safety and licensing regulations. These checks typically involve reviewing medication storage, inventory management, and adherence to prescription handling protocols. The frequency of these inspections is determined by regulatory bodies to maintain public safety and pharmaceutical integrity.
