I had a negative interaction with a security guard/officer from this company. However it was clear his actions were rouge of how the company operates. I was amazed that less than 8 hours later I was asked about the issue and it was handled. I don’t know of any other security companies that would take the time to hear both side and do what’s right at the end vs default side with the employee. Jeremy, I appreciate you sir as you listened and heard me out. When there is conflict there is always a difference of personal feelings. You heard both sides and addressed the issue head on. If I needed to hire a security company you now are on the top of the list to call. You have integrity and accountability and that’s a must in security.

Very friendly (and very photogenic!) security guard—she even posed for this photo. When she spotted me with a camera at Tempe Marketplace, she approached and asked what I was doing. After I asked for clarification, she explained that photos weren’t allowed with a “real” camera—though I assume phone photos are okay, since she still let me take this one. She smiled, flashed a “V” sign, and even asked me to pose for a photo as well. I thought photos are not allowed. Shortly after, however, she told me I needed to leave or she would call “PD.” (She seemed quite young, so maybe she meant “PP”, the Paw Patrol.) She then began following me with her companion friend without a uniform (I’m not sure if that’s standard while on duty). She seemed very relaxed as she’d be hanging out with friend, instead of doing her job. At that point, I decided to leave, as I didn’t feel comfortable being followed while trying to shop.

I had to check on the well-being of one of their employees and by law they could not disclose certain information. Savanna was polite and professional and followed the company’s protocol. However, she was able to contact the individual for me, while safeguarding sensitive details.

this security guard is constantly trying to kick me out, always telling me I can’t sit in front of the building if I don’t have an item purchased. It so much of a problem that I can’t even sit in Front of a Carl’s Jr for Wi-Fi if I bought some snacks from the dollar tree in the same plaza. I don’t like people preaching the rules only to break the law when they think no one’s looking. Disgusting. I have had experience with several different security companies and this one was by far the best. They made our transition seemless. It was so easy. Other companies would just email us all the things we need to do to sign up but Marksman Security had 2 representatives come down to our site and help us every step of the way. Liyah worked with me and was patient as I am computer illiterate and sometimes get confused on anything computer based. It was great and so easy to do with all their help. They fit us for our uniforms so we not just rolling up the pants. And uniforms are available immediately. I’m so happy to be working with Marksman Security.

Just spoke to one of their security guards to ask a question about some contact information for a property owner in Vegas. You would have thought that I called that young lady every name of the book with the way she acted towards me. How dare I break up the monotony of her day with a simple question. Learn some customer service skills. Pretty disappointing. But don’t worry, she never stopped texting the entire time. Didn’t want to ruin her flow.

Some of their employees spend their time on the internet going into explicit details on how they would unalive an autistic person and then repeating it over and over again. Even lie about having autism in order to make it okay? Then admit they don’t have autism but it doesn’t matter because they don’t need to have autism to understand it? Very uncomfortable and strange. Seems like a liability risk that complexes and homes just don’t need. I think we would all agree that regardless of how we feel about the police’s involvement in an autistic man dying, a security guard having detailed plans that they seem to enjoy saying repeatedly while lying about having a disability is a pretty big red flag for liability.

Absolutely dog water of a “security” company. Barely answer the phones and when they do it’s after being on hold for a good while and even then if/when they dispatch someone, rarely do they ever actually correct anything. I have been told by them that if they can’t hear the noise complaint from outside of the apartment building they won’t even go inside to confirm. From my experience, it’s also not uncommon for them to just hang up on you so you can call back and start it all over again.

I’ve noticed a big difference over the last month with the security patrols at our apartment community on 99th indian school. The officer have been much more visible, consistent, and attentive, which has made the property feel safer and more organized. I will keep this professional as I am still a licensed security guard. Covey knows why I gave them 1 star. They did not have my back and only want to hear one side of the story before making quick judgement on me, there is more but there is no reason to air all the dirty laundry. Learn and move on and on to the next security location where I will have some authority and choices and where communication is vital between the current security company and the business employees, And not have to listen to wanna be Security Guards at a retail store who do not communicate.

As a young collage student it can be scary walking out of the workplace at 11pm to your car. Our old security company would be on break or around the back of the building or nowhere to be found. Monday my workplace had hired a new security company named Covey. Us young girls just thought it would be the same as the old company. We were wrong right at 11 security was right out front and was patrolling the next row from where we were parked.The guard even stop about five car lengths away to make sure we got in our cars safe and it’s been that way since .i pulled up beside him and told him thanks he was very friendly and very professional. I am not a review person but I think Covey Security and Guard Shipley are a breath of fresh air and they care about everyone’s safety. Thank you Guard Shipley

The manly looking very large black woman who does security at Coronado care facility is very unprofessional.Has visitors she can’t keep her hands off of.She singles out certain people and uses her authority as if she’s a cop by following them around accusing them of thing they are not doing. Cussing at them and not worrying about the rest of her job If not that she’s playing on her phone for hours your company obviously has no standers on hiring I would rethink your hiring methods if she’s an example of what kind of people you hire your business is doomed

Terrible security company. They don’t even do their job, I’ve had my work tools stolen from a truck that was locked up with a security guard on site. Now my work truck was just vandalized and the steering column has to get repaired. Plain and simple they have one job secure the yard. NOW DO IT!

Wasn’t gonna do a review but after taking a class with Delta and almost 3 months later having problems receiving transcripts. Being told that I was gonna have an emailed to look out for after class to basically help me in furthering getting my security license. That didn’t happen I’ve gone in three times called multiple times emails and it still the same runaround. I was told the instructor is no longer there and even the receptionist is giving me the same runaround. Starting on call me back and don’t saying you’re looking into things and we’ll get back to me and never do. It’s honestly a lot an I really want to get into security I need a job with more so that I can build in life an stay stagnant With better hours, pay , and Consistency i just need this to give me that boost in life that’s needed. Update still no transcript just calls an email with run around. I really feel it’s some kinda legal action that needs to take place 4-5 months no results. This security service is ridiculous. My neighbor was in his car, minding his business, listening to some music, and they came and bothered him. The funny thing is, they are not hired to secure this property. And when they were told that they lied and said neighbors were complaining. Get your stuff together and patrol the correct area. Update as of May 13, 2025….. I finally got a response back, but that is a joke and such a waste of time. I have called your office on numerous occasions and given them my information to the receptionist. She in fact was rude just like the rest of your company and not helpful. I Have yet to get a response back from anyone. At this point, no need. If I happen to see anyone from your company, I will notify Phoenix PD. They have no right to tell anyone who lives in our property where to go and what to do. They were not hired by anyone here they were not hired by the property owner. They made a mistake and did not want to own up to it. They were harassing the tenants here and we will not stand for it.

I would give it a ZERO star if I could.. most of the guards look and act highly unprofessional. The higher ups don’t have an HR. Also they never reach out to you about any concerns or needs.

They don’t secure anything, just drive around taking pictures of people who work in the buildings they “patrol” UPDATE, POST OWNER FOLLOW UP How you direct your business is seen by anyone you come in contact with. I have EVERY right to leave this review, most especially when your operators (in that they drive around operating a camera and vehicle and DO NOT secure anything, just take pictures, therefore they are not security, more recorders or documenters or something else that is not security) just go around taking pictures of employees who work in the buildings that you patrol, my facts are just that, facts. I would never work for your company.

Was at the In-N-Out on Scottsdale Rd and the 101 tonight and they have a VSS Security guard “standing guard” at the door. Y’all need to remind this young man that his JOB is to be protecting the restaurant and it’s patrons, NOT playing on his phone. The entire time we were there, all he did was watch his phone. Not a good look for VSS or In-N-Out.

This security company isn’t just terrible, they’re borderline criminal. I’m not sure what they think they’re doing, but trying to enforce parking at gyms or grocery stores aggressively is ridiculous. Stop bothering people who are patronizing the locations you’re contracted to protect. Start training your staff to know the difference between observe and report vs harass and assault. I’ve had run ins with a number of their workers/security , at a number of different places, and they have broken my windshield, called the cops and wasted their time while I’m at a gym working out or at a store getting groceries, they’ve flipped me off and tried to intimidate me and broadly make all of the businesses they surveil lose business. Their employees are argumentative and ignorant, and have some perceived superiority over local and statutory laws where they think they can trespass someone who’s patronizing the establishments they’re contracted to protect. I’ve had a number of cops have to tell their employees this exact thing: you can’t trespass someone without the owner of the properties say, and if we’re inside or using the establishments, thats even less of a reason. This is not “protection”, this is directly affecting the businesses revenue and any property owner who hires them needs to know that they wont be doing things legal and they will be scaring away paying customers. And opening them up to lawsuits. 1 star is 1 star too many.

I work late and needed to nap in my car before driving home tonight so I don’t fall asleep behind the wheel. As soon as I set my timer and close my eyes I get a hard bang on my window and a flashlight in my face so I can’t see who is at my window. The walk back and start taking pictures of my plate, so I ask why are the taking pictures of me. They completely ignore me as if I had no business asking. I am a female and to have man come up to my vehicle with that kind of disturbance is frightening. I ask over and over and he finally spoke back refusing answer my question. He said he is not answering any of my questions and not about to argue with me. I could tell he wanted to escale the situation after disturbing me because there is not argument with asking why he is taking pictures of me. I do not know how many picture this pervert took of me be I want them deleted, but by the time this reaches someone he could have saved them anywhere. I was in such shock I did not get a image of him but I also highly double if he would have given his name. The vehicle he was driving plate number was AZ plate KKA9VL and the time was about 2:20am January 26, 2026. I need a confirmation on what he was actually do because I have never had an issue on the nights I work late until now and to be woken my this creep is not okay. You all have to have some type of violate for this type of actions. He not only has me but my are plates which makes me not feel safe at my own work place.
