First time visiting, and I was very impressed! We stopped here on a whim while looking for a place to grab dinner. The hostess was warm and welcoming, seated us right away, and even accommodated my husband’s preferred seating request. I didn’t catch her name, but she wore glasses and was absolutely lovely. The atmosphere was beautiful, modern, and upscale, perfect for date night. Our waitress, Marcia, was fantastic. She was professional, knowledgeable about the menu, and her recommendations helped me choose a delicious meal. There was also a gentleman playing the saxophone, which added to the intimate and relaxing ambiance. My only minor critique is that the tables were a bit close together. I understand it’s a smaller dining space, so creating more privacy may not be easy. Overall, we had a wonderful experience, and I definitely recommend this restaurant if you’re ever in downtown Phoenix. 😊

We did a reservation at 9pm on a Thursday. No wait time. Music was a little bit loud. They had music like a club. Then a saxophone guy started playing and was nice. Food was good. We got mole and NY steak it was pretty good. Very soft meat. I tried tepache it was good as well. We try Paloma it was good but not stong at all. Overall I do recommend it. I would go back. Just recommend to change music one for the bar side and different for the restaurant tables If possible.

Miel de Agave left me with mixed feelings. The food was genuinely good, and the passion fruit margarita was excellent. The problem wasn’t the kitchen—it was the overall hospitality experience. From the moment we arrived, the welcome felt cold. We were told to “try to find a seat at the bar,” and once we did, it was so cold we ended up moving to the outside bar just to be comfortable. There were three employees working behind the bar, yet we still felt overlooked for much of our visit. Ironically, the barback ended up being the most attentive and helpful member of the team. The restaurant also felt unusually dark, and both the men’s and women’s restrooms were messy during our visit. That’s what makes this review disappointing. The food and drinks were worth ordering, but the hospitality didn’t match the price point. With more attention to the guest experience—from the host stand to the bar to the restrooms—I think Miel de Agave has the potential to be a restaurant I’d gladly recommend. The food here is simply fantastic, and the staff is incredibly friendly. The atmosphere is amazing, with great music to set the mood. We tried the aguachile ribeye, which was absolutely delicious. It wasn’t too spicy, just right. I also tried the quesabirria, which was authentic Mexican food. And let me tell you, my espresso martini was an absolute 10 out of 10! Our server was Marcia and she was very knowledgeable about the food, drinks and her recommendations were just perfect.

This is a must try in Phoenix! Exceptional customer service, Marcia gave us the best recommendations & everything we tried was delicious. I would comeback and order the same thing again. Interior is so clean, great elegant decor, lively music. The vibe is a classy, sophisticated, a place for a a fun night or a nice date. Overall a solid spot for a good time with good company. What we tried : Aguachiles ribeye 10/10 Birria Tacos 10/10 Chipotle Pasta 10/10 Drinks : ESPRESSO MARTINI (not too sweet, perfectly balanced) MOJITO (refreshing) LA BERRY NICE (pulpy! You taste the middle blackberries & raspberries, so refreshing)

Made reservations for my wife and I 20th anniversary. This was our first time there and it was amazing. Our server was Dusty and she was great. Started off with the deviled eggs. For dinner had the special steak which was a ribeye from Snake River Farms, and the crab cakes. The steak was pricey but I think was the best we ever had. The crab cakes were also great. We got a dessert free of charge which we had packed to go. They then gave us two big scoops of gelato. My wife and I were talking about this and honestly think it may have been the best dinning experience we’ve ever had. From service to food and everything in-between it was five stars. They were professional but yet not pretentious which is important to us. You won’t be disappointed.

Such a beautiful night. My husband and I celebrated our 3rd anniversary. The service was phenomenal. Everybody congrated us with a lovely card and any dessert of our choosing. The steak, delicious! We had the pork belly as an appetizer, which was juicy, very flavorful. The atmosphere…a little loud for my liking but we did go at a popular hour. Just a beautiful night.

Our server Rowna was amazing and we recommend her highly such a sweet, attentive server. Food was delicious the ambience of the dining area was so nice. It’s definitely worth the try, you won’t be sorry. From valet to the service is top notch

5-Star Review: Steak 44 Steakhouse (Scottsdale, AZ) Arrived a bit late but was warmly greeted by “D” Deanna, at reception—her friendly smile set the perfect tone! She seated me in a cozy private spot by the fireplace while Jo stepped away. While Oscar assisted with white napkins (such a classy touch!), helped me settle in, then Kenzie delivered menus with an enthusiastic welcome, sharing appetizer highlights since it was our first visit. Every detail dazzled: gourmet breads with garlic butter and sea salt options, incredible lobster/fried/shrimp apps, crab garlic avocado dip—pure perfection! Skipped salad for mouthwatering mains—a 16oz filet mignon (medium rare on a sizzling 500° stone, flipped to ideal doneness) and a smooth 22oz ribeye that melted like butter. Service was next-level: Oscar and Isaac cleared plates, replaced utensils/napkins flawlessly, refilled wine (delicious Cabernet Sauvignon-Justin) and lemon water nonstop. Assist Manager Darren personally checked in—wow! To top it off, we toasted with the Oakland A’s MLB Executive /Owners/General Managers team next to us, celebrating spring training in Scottsdale. Ended with divine butter cake and ice cream. Unforgettable night—food, ambiance, and team were flawless! Highly recommend. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

This was an unreal experience! For someone who hasn’t dinned at a fine dining restaurant before, this was an exceptional experience! We went for our anniversary and we were treated like royalty! The food was out of this world- I cannot stress how tender and high grade every steak was. It melted in your mouth. The sides come as a family style, and the appetizers were small enough that they didn’t spoil your main course. I cannot recommend this place enough!

The same evening we came to Steak 44, my husband and I had an extremely unpleasant experience at another steakhouse not too far up the road from here. It’s bittersweet because then we would not have stumbled upon this restaurant had we not had the experience beforehand. Needless to say, this restaurant completely turned our evening around. From the moment we walked in to the moment we left, everything from the service, and atmosphere to the food was excellent. I was even sad to leave my dessert leftovers. Our server Jacob (& the many others who helped him) was immaculate in his service. The attentiveness you will receive at this restaurant is like none other. I will happily make the drive from Tucson anytime to experience Steak 44 again.

We came here last night to celebrate my daughter‘s birthday – who unfortunately passed over the rainbow bridge last year. This was Jenny’s favorite place to indulge & celebrate her special day since she’s been about 18, she turned 30 last night. I mentioned this to the waiter, Josh, and he told me “OK let’s celebrate tonight.” He made sure we were absolutely taken care of and at the end of dinner. He even provided us with two free glasses of champagne at the end of dinner❤️ I am a vegetarian and they have a great selection of side dishes, along with the rolls that will completely fill you up if you don’t eat meat. I ordered the corn, sweet potatoes and shells and cheese. I could only eat about a quarter of each dish and they were all absolutely to die for; well seasoned, great portions and plenty to take home for later. My oldest daughter got the New York Strip; well-done, and said it was absolutely the best steak that she’s had in a very, very long time. No steak sauce or garnish needed. Her sides were the whipped potatoes, corn, & some of my shells & cheese😆 Our reservation was for 630 and at about 730 the blinds opened and it just brought in the most amazing warm afternoon glow. Everyone was happy & excited to be there and I can’t wait for our next visit. I absolutely am in love with the shells and cheese, hands-down the best macaroni and cheese I’ve had from any restaurant. Josh, thank you & your team for taking care of us. You had a few large tables & you made sure we had everything we needed and you were very kind to us-sending you a big hug.

We have been celebrating our birthdays and anniversaries at this restaurant for years. On this special occasion, we celebrated my husband’s birthday. The service was good and the food was delicious. We ordered the salmon with sides, appetizers, and drinks. I gave 4 out of 5 stars because our leftovers were not packed correctly. I communicated for them to be packed separately and they were packed together. The spinach spilled out in the bag and all over everything in our bag on our way home. This was the first time that the waiter did not do what we asked we packing up our food to go. Please listen next time. I recommend this location.

Had a really good time . The food was honestly on another level — everything we tried was cooked just right and had great flavor. The service was also a big part of the experience; our server was friendly, attentive, and made sure we were taken care of without being over the top. The atmosphere is classy but still comfortable, making it a great spot for a nice dinner. Definitely a place I’d come back to and recommend to others.

Stopped into The Capital Grille and ended up having a great experience. I wasn’t exactly within the typical dress code after coming in off the street, but they were kind enough to let me grab a seat at the bar. James, the bartender, took great care of me from start to finish. He poured a fantastic Woodford, was friendly, attentive, and made me feel completely welcome. The steak was cooked perfectly and one of the better steaks I’ve had in a while. I also tried the lobster mac and cheese. The lobster itself was very good, though the cheese sauce wasn’t quite my personal favorite. Definitely not bad, just not my style. The real surprise was the cheesecake I took to go for a late-night snack. Absolutely delicious and worth saving room for. Big thanks to James for the excellent hospitality.

Disco! Restaurant week stop 1. Bitter sweet as all was delicious but we learned their sister restaurant next door was closed. All landlords should be lined up and…, wait a minute. Updrade to the NY, and larger filet 😎. Bread, sides, dessert, all scrumptious. Now that 44 no more, will be back no doubt quite soon.

Excellent location to take a business contact, or family members for a special celebration. The food is fresh and made with high-quality produce. My personal favorite is having the garden salad with salmon. It is filling, fresh and healthy. It also makes me have the chocolate cake/brûlés dessert plate in good conscience…

My wife and I had a spectacular experience at A Different Point of View. The view from the second-floor part of the restaurant is stunning, the service staff waited on us hand and foot and were spectacular (Nick was our waiter). We both ordered the salad that was featured on the menu for that evening, two New York strip steaks with mashed potatoes, grilled broccolini, and a s’mores dessert. The food was arranged beautifully, the steaks were seasoned and cooked perfectly, and the deconstructed s’mores dessert reminded me of making s’mores at a campfire as a kid. I can honestly say it was one of the best experiences both of us have had at a restaurant, and we eat out a lot! We will definitely be bringing friends and family and making this a monthly date night!

Truly deserving of an extra star! We spent three hours lingering over an incredible dinner while watching the sun set over the city. The service was impeccable from start to finish—our waiter was knowledgeable and made the evening feel special. Everything from the greeting at the door to the final bite of the meal was excellent. If you’re celebrating with friends, this is the place to do it.

Best service ive ever had. KAYLA was our server and she was TOP tier. Food was great! We had swordfish, the filet and beef tartar. Views, staff, and drinks were amazing. Not sure the $200 bone-in Ribeye we had was worth it, though. Would definitely come here again, but wouldn’t recommend the Ribeye, I’ve had a better one from Walmart on my grill at home.

We had an amazing experience at Different Pointe of View. The views alone are absolutely breathtaking and make the restaurant feel special before the food even arrives. The staff was outstanding from start to finish, attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming throughout the evening. The food was excellent overall. The New York strip was cooked perfectly and packed with flavor, the filet mignon was tender and incredible, and the truffle mashed potatoes were honestly one of the highlights of the meal. Every entrée felt high quality and worth the visit. The only disappointment was the appetizer that featured fried rice and pork belly. It lacked flavor and didn’t really live up to the standard set by the rest of the meal. Thankfully, everything after that completely turned the experience around. Overall, this was a fantastic dining experience with incredible service, beautiful scenery, and memorable main courses. Definitely a place worth visiting for a special night out.

After being closed for almost a year, the famous Phoenix Steakhouse is back open and better than ever! The inside still has the same feeling as the original restaurant but has been upgraded to give an even more elevated experience. Perfect restaurant to go to for a special occasion, you will be blown away by the great service and amazing food. We started with the meatballs & calamari. The meatballs were served with the chefs vodka sauce which was delicious. We also shared a Caesar salad, the perfect option for a light starter. I tried both the filet and the NY Strip, the petite filet was the winner to me and extremely tender. Every side we ordered was great, one of the best loaded baked potatoes that I’ve had!

Amazing steak house with fun history. All steaks were perfect amongst the table. My bone in filet was delicious. We shared whipped potatoes, brussel sprouts with bacon, and mushroom sides. Brussel sprouts and potatoes were the table favorites. Great appetizers available, but I can’t eat gluten, so couldn’t try any. Everyone else thought were amazing from fried eggs, cavier and bacon. Wedge salad was very fresh and good. Gluten free chocolate cake was worth the wait and calories with real whipping cream and Blackberries. It had a fun almost pop rock sprinkle on its side, very unique and added texture. Can’t wait to return for another special night.

Absolutely fantastic. Old school Steakhouse. Top notch service. Everything is fresh and beautifully prepared. Best for really special occasions. Their Scalloped potatoes are so delicious. Seafood flown in daily. Your meal ends with your waiter giving you a very warm Lavender infused wash cloth to freshen up. Epic!

Durant’s definitely delivers on the classic old-school steakhouse vibe, and the food was solid, but the dining setup left a lot to be desired. The tables were packed in so tightly that our waiter practically had to perform an obstacle course maneuver just to get between them and attend to us comfortably. Our table was also positioned extremely close to two professional-grade baking ovens, which made for a noticeably toasty dinner experience. On top of that, the music volume made it difficult to even hear our waiter during most of the meal. Overall still a good restaurant with quality food and atmosphere, but the layout and noise level took away from what could have been a much better experience.

we had a great experience last night for my birthday dinner! thursday 9pm reservation was perfect for us! the service COLE provided was impeccable! he didn’t rush us, he was there with a smile every time he approached us, he gave us the history on the restaurant, and he made sure we had a great first experience. the restaurant was so kind to hand write a letter for our birthday occasion. we can’t wait to come back and just enjoy sitting at the bar for some martini’s. Thank you Durants team!

Spot on and our new PHX favorite steakhouse! Love that Durant’s has kept their old fashioned supper club vibe even for lunch! Spendy but portions are large and leftovers will be another 1-2 meals so definitely worth it. Photos say it all in food & drink quality…absolutely superb and a must do when in PHX! EXTRA MILE: we celebrated 2 birthdays and each was given a nice handwritten card AND the following day we received a phone call asking if everything was up to par and thanking us for dining with them.

never would’ve found this place—it’s tucked into a corner building on 3rd St and Jefferson, in front of the Adeline apartments. Someone had to point me here, and I’m glad they did. The service made the night. Ella (our server) and Audrey walked us through the menu like they actually eat here on their days off—house-made sourdough, the wine list, the dishes worth building a meal around. We started with the Silk and Spice red blend (smooth, easy recommendation) and an espresso martini with a clean, dessert-like finish. The Caesar came with a jalapeño kick that cut through the Brussels sprout bitterness—unexpected, but it worked. The three-ball meatballs are the appetizer to order: light, well-made, perfect with that sourdough. This turned into a breadier meal than planned, but the Maximus pizza earned it. I’m a Neapolitan snob and the crust here is doughier than I’d usually go for—but the undercarriage held up, and this is now one of my favorite slices in the Valley. Better than [Name the place east]. The dish to remember: cremini sacchetti. Audrey called them “pasta pillows,” which undersells it. Ella steered us toward the short rib version, and the short rib, cheese, mushroom, and pasta came together perfectly. This is the dish that’ll bring me back. Highly recommend if you’re in or visiting downtown Phoenix.

10 out 10!! We found Humble Bistro while searching Google for a new restaurant in downtown Phoenix, and what a find! We were surprised to learn they have three locations across the Valley. It’s been a long time since we’ve sat at a restaurant and said, “Wow, this is amazing!” about every single thing we ordered. We started with the $9 Cajun Shrimp appetizer during their happy hour (offered daily until 5 p.m.). The shrimp, the sauce, and especially the bread to soak it all up were absolutely incredible. In fact, we kept forgetting to take photos because we were too busy enjoying the food! The Brussels sprouts with hummus were some of the best I’ve ever had, and the hummus paired perfectly with them. We also tried the Gentleman’s Pizza Pie with pepperoni and the Cajun chicken sandwich—both were outstanding and packed with flavor. This was easily one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in a long time, and we’ll definitely be regulars. We’ve already recommended Humble Bistro to friends who live near their other locations. If you’re looking for a restaurant that delivers amazing food, put this one at the top of your list!

Abby was great and friendly! We stop by on our way to the comedy club to catch an early dinner we didn’t have reservations, but they got us right in which was super nice. Everything we ate was delicious just like the location that used to be near our home… so we were pleasantly surprised that we could come here too, and enjoy great food and service. Please add a Vistancia location !!!😍

We went to Wren & Wolf after our Carry On experience. Our “flight” was at 3:30 p.m., so it worked out perfectly to have dinner at Wren & Wolf afterward. It was Sunday and before 5 p.m., so the place was pretty empty. The restaurant is huge and decorated with wolf statues and paintings. They also have a lounge area, bar area, regular tables, and plenty of booths. There were a few other groups there who had also come from the 3:30 Carry On flight. Even though it wasn’t busy, they seated us right next to another group. It felt a bit cramped, and since the tables were so close together, we could hear their entire conversation, and I’m sure they could hear ours too. Since we had already been snacking during Carry On, we weren’t very hungry. We ordered a couple of appetizers, the Brussels sprouts and truffle fries, and then we also ordered the spaghetti, duck breast, halibut, and chicken for our mains. The food was decent, but everything leaned a little salty. If you park at the Renaissance Square Parking Garage, they’ll validate your parking for up to three hours. Overall, I’m glad we checked it out.

I drove over an hour to celebrate an anniversary dinner with a friend at Wren & Wolf, and it was absolutely worth the trip. We ordered the Za’atar Man’oushe, Avocado Caesar, Bluefin Tartare, Beef Wellington, and Halibut. The entrées felt appropriately priced for the quality, though the starters leaned a bit on the expensive side. The Beef Wellington and Halibut were highlights in terms of execution—the meat and fish were cooked perfectly and incredibly tender. That said, the mushroom layer in the Wellington pastry and the broth for the halibut were a bit too salty for our taste. Truth be told, the Beef Wellington is enough for 1 person, with the mashed potatoes as a side. Service was top-notch. A standout moment was the chef personally coming to our table to cut the Beef Wellington, which added a special touch to the experience. Our server was also very friendly and welcoming throughout the evening. The ambiance was stylish, but it was quite noisy and made conversation a bit difficult at times. We skipped dessert as it was outside our budget by that point, but overall it was a memorable dining experience and a great choice for a special occasion.

Food and ambiance is great! Ayla was our server and she was amazing and attentive. It was our first time dining here and I’d say this is a perfect place for a romantic date. We did bring two little kiddos and Ayla was very accommodating. We’ll definitely be back! The only con I have is that it is on the pricier side.

Wren & Wolf is a breathtaking, gorgeous restaurant. Beautifully decorated and the atmosphere feels upscale with a hint of hip. After being sat down, the host asked if we preferred bottled water, sparkling or still. We chose still and never received this during our meal. I can only assume this wasn’t relayed to our server. For appetizers, we both were intrigued by the “Caviar Bump.” This is brought out on a trolly, and the server scoops then places a quarter sized amount of caviar on opposite side of your ball of thumb. He instructs us the best way to enjoy this caviar is to gently press it against the roof of your mouth with your tongue. Both of us are in agreeance that compared to the other times we’ve had caviar; this was a bit fishy and tasted passed it prime. Onto mains, my partner opted in for the double smash burger which was great. Our server/kitchen was kind enough to upgrade her side to one of their special salads which was great. As for me, I opted in for their eggs benedict, upgrading to their king crab. I found this tasty, but I found the overall flavours overpowered the taste of the crab. Both dishes were beautifully presented, and our server was casual and was a pleasure. We’re happy to make this our first meal visiting Phoenix, and if we were to come back, they have an amazing looking dinner menu we’d love to try.

The dining room is quiet dark and multiple tables had their phone flashlights on but the food here is divine. Tried the Shrimp cocktail and had the best sauce of my life with it!!! Biyfriend had the oysters from two coasts and he loved them. We also got the beef wellington for two. It was done right but I will say the ends of the puff pastry were raw in the very middle. However that’s not something that’s uncommon with wellington’s. Super delicious Anniversary dinner and then the host showed us to their secret bar. Which was Decorated soo appropriately. Overall and amazing experience.

We originally wanted to go to The Trophy Room for drinks, but unfortunately they didn’t have any availability until 10:30. We ended up staying at Wren & Wolf bar instead, and it turned out to be a great choice. The bartender was very nice and asked what kind of drinks we usually enjoy. Since I don’t like anything too sweet, she recommended the East of Eden cocktail with fresh ginger, and it was amazing. My husband ordered the “You Had Me at Mezcal,” and he said it was perfect. We also ordered the Lost in the Woods dessert, and it was incredible — rich dark chocolate mousse with the perfect balance of sweetness.

Argh!!!! So enfuriating to have wasted time and effort going here. I was hoping to impress my girl for her birthday, but got one of the most frustrating experiences in a place that promises a “distinct dining experience”. I thought I had done my homework by watching a couple of YouTube videos about it where people described a lovely experience at this place and read lots of shinning reviews online, but I failed miserably. The location is nothing to write home about as it is in downtown Phoenix, but they offer parking validation, so that is a plus. I made a reservation and the restaurant was 80% empty, so we were seated immediately upon arrival. Our troubles started as soon as we were seated in a booth with a wobbly toble with too large a base to be in a booth. We had no room to place our feet and we don’t have Shaquile O’Neal size feet either… Our server was slow and dismissive, so the service was subpar. We ordered bread service (Noble bread) and a pastry tower (probably from Noble) and those were the best items we had there. We ordered a hot coffee which sat at the bar counter for 20 minutes with our server walking by it several times and not seeing it or pretending not to see it, and when she finally brought it to the table, it was cold. We asked to have it remade and got a bit of attitude from our server. She went and made the second coffee herself and the coffee was awful. They own a La Marzocco, but didn’t have a barista to use it, so the coffee was hot, but barely drinkable. We ordered steak and eggs with country potatoes and a fried chicken sandwich with fries. The steak was very good, but the fried eggs (ordered over easy) came over-fried with hard yolks and burnt edges and the country potatoes also over-fried and over salted, so both eggs and potatoes were uneatable. The sandwich was even worse… over-fried hard chicken in a greasy bun with over-fried and over salted fries… also uneatable. Perhaps chef needs to go back to culinary school to learn how to fry food, and a class on people-to-people skills for the server would wouldn’t be a bad idea either. A very memorable experience for the wrong reasons… The value is not there. Don’t fall for the positive reviews here… We won’t return.

I’m going to have to say that the atmosphere, the history, and the service definitely carries this place. I have dined in some of the finest places in the world I have paid pretty penny for it. But make no mistake that I have paid good money for the food. This place had amazing service and of course the Wrigley mansion is iconic but most definitely lacking in that exquisite flavor department. I felt as if they were making the same dish for absolutely everyone instead of making it an exquisite and individual experience for each guest. There was no thought invested into the presentation of the dish. Usually an upscale chef tries to place his personal signature on the dishes that are presented. The Crab Cappelleti was hard around the edges, and I was never given a choice of how I wanted my Prime Rib cooked. The cocktails were spot on I must say. The view was absolutely stunning, of course, the history of the mansion reveals itself as you do your self-guided tour. Overall the evening was very pleasant and enjoyable.

I was genuinely impressed by this restaurant. Perched on a hill, it offers beautiful views of the skyline, including Phoenix and the surrounding cities, making the setting feel truly special. The building itself is historic and remarkably well preserved, adding even more character to the experience. The food matched the atmosphere in quality—the crispy mole salad was a surprising standout, bringing together flavors and textures I wasn’t expecting. For the main course, the steak was excellent and cooked perfectly. If you’re looking for a memorable dinner in a unique setting, this is definitely a place I would recommend for a special evening.

Came here for a double date and we all got different items so we got to taste a big selection of the menu. LOVED the appetizers and entrees (I will say I don’t think the sides were on par). The atmosphere was incredible – it felt so vast, historic, intimate, and iconic to dine here. After the meal we all walked around the property and toured the rooms. Everything was staged so beautifully. My only criticism is, for a dining experience and price tag of this caliber, I expected the staff to be more professional – we came as two different couple and had our plates separated but they cross combined some of our leftovers together and we had to fix it ourselves, they didn’t always refill the water quick enough, dropped dirty utensils as they cleared the table. To clarify, the service wasn’t bad, but not at the high standards I expected for this restaurant.

Finally visited the Wrigley Mansion and it absolutely lived up to the experience. The setting feels like stepping into another era — historic architecture, sweeping staircases, warm fireplaces, vintage artwork, and breathtaking city 🌃 views overlooking Phoenix at night. I sat outside on the patio for a light bite and a mocktail 🍹 while watching the skyline and desert lights come alive after sunset. The atmosphere felt elegant, romantic, and surprisingly relaxing without being overly formal. Even walking through the mansion itself feels special. The details, lighting, piano, intimate dining rooms, and beautifully preserved interiors create such a timeless experience. Definitely one of the most unique spots in Phoenix for a special evening, cocktails, dinner, or simply taking in the view. ✨

We went to celebrate our anniversary, and were greeted with a “happy anniversary” as soon as we checked in for our reservation. They brought complimentary champagne to the table and everything was personal and done with intention. The food was phenomenal , the atmosphere was relaxed and not rushed, and service exceeded all expectations. We didn’t just have a waitress we had a whole team going above and beyond to make everything feel magical and special! All I wanted was a true culinary experience, and to enjoy the experience from beginning to end, and that’s exactly what I found at Tarbell’s. I plan to spend many other special occasions here!

My husband and I went here for our anniversary dinner and were both amazed. We both agreed that between food and service it was the best place we’ve been! The food was delicious, my husband got the sea bass and I tried a bite. I usually don’t like fish very much but still found it exceptional. I had the spaghetti and it was delicious. The chocolate mousse was also amazing and came with a nice “happy anniversary” writing in chocolate. Service was phenomenal, our waitress was super kind and attentive. We never ran low on water and were very well taken care of. Overall an amazing experience and worth every bit of the cost!

Absolutely wonderful. My wife and I are visiting from out of state and came here on our anniversary. We were met with some of the best food and service we’ve ever had. I had the fish (sea bass the day we went) and it was without exaggeration the best fish I’ve ever had. The chocolate mousse was also the best I’ve ever eaten. My personal metric for service is my water glass, because I drink quite a lot of water. I don’t think it ever got below half full the whole night. If you haven’t been, you’re missing out.

Went in on a Friday night with a reservation. The place was busy, and service was a bit slow, especially bar service. I didn’t like my first drink, but they were kind enough to make another even though it arrived with the meal. Unfortunately, both entrees were overly salty, like extra salt had been sprinkled on top before serving. Once you got past the top layer of it , it was somewhat edible but something was off with the salt that evening. They did have gluten free crackers and also gluten free pasta was available to sub for pasta dishes. That said, our server was amazing- friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond. He apologized multiple times about the drink b ing so delayed as the bar was back d up, he also removed both entrees from the bill which was totally unexpected and we didn’t ask that be done. They also surprised us with complimentary dessert for our anniversary, which was a really thoughtful touch. Although the food and bar service missed the mark this time, the exceptional customer service truly stood out. W will definitely give them another try.

Such a beautiful and elegant place with friendly and knowledgeable staff and excellent service. My steak was cooked perfectly to my specification and so tender and flavorful! The potatoes and asparagus were wonderful. Our group shared two desserts and both were divine. The next day I breakfast and enjoyed the burrito and fresh fruit. Later I had lunch with a friend and we split the turkey sandwich and tacos and it was all fresh and yummy. I can’t wait to go back! Even with my food sensitivities, nothing bothered me which was remarkable. That’s s testament to a great restaurant and chef!

I went to T. Cook’s for dinner after my graduation. The ceremony ran longer than I expected and I was late for my reservation, the staff was super understanding and was very welcoming. The food was great, I had the beef tenderloin. The drinks were also fantastic, I had the smoked cherry foam old fashioned and the chai Russian. Both were perfect! Our server was very friendly and made our dinner experience wonderful.

Phenomenal! Top down, 5 stars. Views, history, ambiance, the food, the service! My wife and I came here for our wedding anniversary. No regrets! Highly recommended.

Nothing to disappoint in this beautiful restaurant. If you’re looking for a casual atmosphere and an amazing dining experience (breakfast, lunch, dinner or just cocktails), look no further. This is old school Arizona at its best. Don’t expect a modern chain restaurant experience, those are fine, but this is something pleasantly different. Hotel room are a bit hit and miss, but if you are in the right frame of mind, you will appreciate the classic charm of the overall venue. Staff is wonderful here too.

I had such a lovely experience at TCooks in Phoenix! The atmosphere is warm and elegant without feeling stuffy, and the service was genuinely kind and attentive. The food was wonderful, but the standout for me was the Caesar salad — absolutely delicious, fresh, and perfectly balanced. I could honestly come back just for that! Everything we tried was flavorful and beautifully presented. Highly recommend for a relaxing, high-quality dining experience.

Incredible date night experience for us. The food is incredible, delicious flavor profiles, carefully assembled dishes and overall an amazing meal. The staff and especially our waiter, was outgoing and friendly, his recommendations were spot on. It’s an incredibly beautiful location, the ambiance was quite magical during Christmas time. We thank T. Cook’s for the wonderful experience!

I took my mom here for her 81st birthday and she was treated so well this service was outstanding and the atmosphere was way more than expected. If I didn’t live in Washington this would be my place!

Frequently asked questions about fine dining restaurants in Phoenix

What is fine dining and how does it differ from standard dining?

Fine dining refers to a high-end service style characterized by formal atmosphere, sophisticated culinary techniques, and premium ingredients. Unlike casual dining, it emphasizes meticulous presentation, multi-course menus, and a high level of personalized service from professional staff. While standard restaurants focus on convenience and speed, fine dining is intended as a deliberate, upscale experience.

Why is fine dining so expensive and is it worth the cost?

Fine dining is expensive because of the high cost of premium ingredients, skilled labor, and the overhead of maintaining an upscale environment. Whether it is "worth it" depends on the diner's personal goals, but for many, the value lies in the artistry of the food and the unique atmosphere. You can often find more reasonable price points by looking for establishments that offer prix fixe menus or early evening specials.

What types of fine dining restaurants are available?

There are several different types of fine dining experiences, ranging from traditional French service to modern fusion and farm-to-table concepts. Some establishments focus on a strictly formal atmosphere with white-tablecloth service, while others offer a more contemporary "progressive" fine dining style. When choosing, consider whether you prefer a classic, structured meal or a more creative, modern culinary exploration.

    Is fine dining healthy?

Fine dining can be healthy, but it depends entirely on the specific menu choices and preparation methods. Many high-end kitchens prioritize fresh, seasonal, and locally sourced ingredients, which are often higher in quality than standard fare. To ensure a healthy experience, you can request modifications or choose dishes that emphasize grilled, steamed, or roasted preparations over heavy sauces.
