My husband and I visited all three campuses, and we met a sweetheart named Axel. Mikayla (hopefully I spelled that correctly!) was so kind, informative, and clearly passionate about the dogs in her care. She took the time to explain how the Humane Society works, and you can tell she truly cares about the animals. Axel seems very happy in his new home, and he has brought us so much joy. The adoption process was seamless, easy, and prompt. Thank you, Humane Society!
This place was so busy. Prices were about the same as everywhere else. There was a very limited selection of cats in the cages — only about three at a time. The others could only be viewed in printed catalogs, which felt a bit odd to me. I expected the shelter to prepare us better for the adoption process. I didn’t expect to bring home a kitten who would have liquid diarrhea everywhere. I had no idea what to do or who to call. There wasn’t much information provided about situations like this before we took our kitten home. Happy to have adopted my kitten, though! ❤️
Some how it was luck . 5 months ago . Saw his photo on the website. I knew. He is a wonderful addition. He blends magically. . . The adoption was fast , easy , and he is chipped . He did has a little cough . It's gone. He is wonderful. Very loving
My 6 dogs absolutely love coming here! They've ALWAYS treated each one of my doggies with such kindness and I know its authentic because my doggies are so happy when they get to the vet. They go in smiling and they come out smiling! I don't trust anyone else other than The Humane Society-Sunnyslope to take care of my 4-legged children. Thank you for the amazing work from the time we check in until the time we walk out the door!
Terrible service if you are looking to sign up for the temporary foster program. They will only take perfect animals! For an emergency temporary foster program they took over 5 months just to tell me I wasn’t approved due to my pets behavior which was just that my male didn’t get along with other in fact males which shouldn’t have been a problem since dogs are required to be nurtured there anyways, and that neutering him would likely help as well. He’s very friendly other than that small issue. My other dog who I rescued after being dumped, a female is simply scared of men and other dogs but with time and patience she is the sweetest loving girl. For someone who comes from abuse those things are just unfortunately bound to affect the dogs behavior. These issues are incredibly minor and very easily manageable yet they denied my application. Shelters who are unable to accommodate dogs who just require a little bit more care shouldn’t exist. You shouldn't have a program that’s limited to only perfectly behaved dogs because unfortunately not every dog in need is able to fulfill that requirement. Also the person who accepts or declines applications never answers her phone I was constantly getting transferred to her voice mail. In which she will never return your call. Humane society please do better! Not every dog in need can fit into your little bubble. I would never donate to thus facility knowing they turn away any animal who needs help. Shame on you
