SimonMed Imaging - Ahwatukee
SimonMed Imaging in Ahwatukee provides essential diagnostic services with a focus on technical expertise. While the medical technicians are recognized for their professional knowledge and patient care, the administrative experience can be inconsistent. The facility maintains a clean environment for patient procedures.
However, the center faces challenges regarding communication accuracy and front desk hospitality. Improving scheduling reliability and staff engagement would enhance the overall patient journey. Despite these logistical hurdles, the clinical support remains a core component of their service.

This review is inductive of my overall experience, not necessarily this location. The ONLY reason I gave two stars was because one of the techs was very nice, it was clean, and they were on time. I got bombarded with scheduling requests, often multiple times a day. I made an appointment and still received an incredible amount of notifications. Two days before my exam I was told it was two days early. I rescheduled only to be bombarded again. The day before I'm told the machine is down and to reschedule. So we go through the whole process again. The day of, I got my mammogram plus ultrasound. My doctor called me that day to tell me test results are benign and we're good until next year. Then I got emails from Simon med saying I needed an ultrasound. I HAD one that same day. Today I got an email telling me masses were found and I require additional testing. Now I sit here on a weekend with nowhere to turn.I am relying on my doctor's call more than these emails but it's still scary Great job, Simon Med.
The front desk lady was extremely rude. Needs to learn how to say, please and thank you when asking for ID. And perhaps smile every now and then! Other than that, the experience was great and you would’ve gotten five stars except for your front desk person(female). The male technician was extremely polite, very engaging and presented an overall pleasant experience. I would suggest you give your front desk staff a lesson on APPROPRIATE customer service engagement!!!!
The wait was very long! However, the two gals at the front desk were just going like machines to get the people through the line and through their paperwork very quickly and very efficiently!! The technician, Josh, was very knowledgeable and was very very helpful and precise! You could tell that he knew what he was doing and that he was very great at his job!! I can’t imagine how much slower it would’ve been if the people that were working there weren’t on top of their game with as many people as were there.
The tech support staff were incredibly helpful, patient, and kind throughout the process, and I truly appreciated their assistance. Unfortunately, my experience with the front desk staff was very different. In Building 5, a young lady at the front desk was rude and actually walked away while we were trying to get corrected directions to the proper building for the MRI. Once we arrived at the correct building, the experience was similar — the front desk staff seemed bothered, unfriendly, and lacking basic customer service. While the medical and technical support was excellent, the front desk interactions left a negative impression and could definitely be improved.
Where do I start? I called to set an appointment for my mom for MRI for 8:15am set the appointment immediately received a text an a email confirming my 3:30pm appointment. I called Back to confirm my 8:15am appointment not 3:30pm and was told yes 8:15. The day before the appointment I got a text confirming 3:30pm appointment of course once agent I called Simon med and was told 8:15am appointment. An hour later after I confirmed the appointment I got another call stating they need to cancel my 8:15am appointment as machine needed service and there was another scheduled appointment at that time. And they wanted to change the appointment to 5:45pm that day. I reluctantly agreed. I then received an email stating my appointment is 5:30pm not 5:45pm. 2 hours later I received another call asking if we could change the rescheduled appointment for tomorrow to today. Very unorganized business if you have other options for your test highly recommend you avoid this place.
If you are running more than 30 minutes behind you should let your appointments know. An hour behind with out a notice is redicoulous. I guess friendliness doesn't matter for you staff as our options are limited but hire some friendly people for the front. Next time I need an MRI I will find a different company. Don't get me started on the foreign call center this company uses. So difficult to understand the appointment setter.
I had a 2pm appointment and arrived 20+ minutes before to check-in and fill out paperwork . I was called up to the front desk asking if I had completed one of the sheets of paperwork, I informed them I had completed however, they we’re unable to locate it so I completed it again. I wasn’t seen until 3pm because of the missing paperwork. Staff should keep better track of scheduled appointments to ensure patients aren’t unnecessarily delayed.
