Sucked me in with the Black Friday coupons and purchased items not on special. Lol Gotta love it! Most items in store are backed up with a lifetime guarantee. So why complain. Don’t care what brand the tool are as long as they do the job!

Harbor Freight is always one of my easiest stops. The store is organized, the layout makes sense, and I can get in and out fast without wandering around. Their prices are solid, and the warranty program is honestly one of the best parts—hand tools have a lifetime warranty, and their electronic tools come with a 90‑day warranty. Bring it in, and they replace it. Simple. Every time I’ve stopped by, the shelves have been stocked well, and the employees keep the place moving. Whether I’m grabbing a Dremel, a flashlight, or random hardware, it’s always a quick, no‑stress trip. If you need tools without the hassle or the high price tag, Harbor Freight is worth checking out.

Very disappointed. My husband bought a sheet of 1/4″ maple ply, among many other items for a teardrop build, over the last couple of months. Had to return the sheet. They could not find his purchase record from credit card #, so would not accept. We finally found the receipt. Now they won’t accept the return as past 90 days. This is ridiculous! Should have seen the purchase and credited when 1st tried to returned.

Well stocked and clean! At time of review, it’s late July so the outdoor plant section was understandably sparse, but the indoor plant section more than made up for it! They also had a great selection of outdoor patio furniture and grilling items. The staff were able to quickly answer our questions and were very friendly. Everything was very well organized and stocked, and no aisles were blocked with merchandise as is off in the case in stores like this. They had many options of appliances and fixtures in range of prices. Great work to this stores’ staff for running a tight ship!

I went in last year, and I am disabled, my friend went to look for a scooter so I could sit and shop. However, both of the scooters were out of order. I’m talking about the Lowe’s on Thunderbird. I don’t get mad or upset easily. I went to the front desk and I was rudely told, “Can’t you walk with your cane?”. I couldn’t believe it. Those carts should be working at all times. I decided to never go to Lowe’s again. I still haven’t. Customer service is a very important job! Now Home Depot gets my business!!!

Trying to find waterproof spray, saw a worker short gray hair, white light vest i called the once she kept walking. I’m thinking maybe she didn’t hear me. I called her again. She turned around and said, I’m busy kept walking. So I’m like, I just wanted to ask her question. So one more time I say excuse me ma’am she just walked away just to talk to other people at the cashier not professional I have come to this place before nothing like this ever happen. Everybody’s friendly here except that lady. Today, June, the 16th at 5:48. If you guys check the camera, you see who it is, either needs to be trained or should not be working on customer service Everybody’s friendly here but not her

Went in bought some paint. Guy recommended a paint for my gutters. Talked to a budddy you does pain for a living. Told me the paint I got was not good for gutters. Went to return it was told they can’t return paint tinted and they no longer do in store credits as of this year. Go to Home Depot. Will never go back to Lowe’s

I went to Lowe’s on 29ave/T-Bird Rd & perfect shopping experience, got what I need, & all the employees stood out that were helpful/efficient & 1 worker who rang me up Petra was amazing & A+. Petra made me feel welcome with me just buying a multipack Powerade. Petra even did my tap to pay cash back that her coworker helped to & they showed teamwork & her customer service was flawless with other female coworker she was near. I’ll b coming back to this Lowe’s as I just moved down the street. I was a Home Depot guy, but after moving right here & customer service i experienced today made me now a Lowe’s guy & this Lowe’s in particular!

Every staff member that I have met has been very friendly. Petra in customer service was very helpful with an exchange that I needed. I will be sure to shop at this Lowe’s whenever possible.

This particular store is not like the other stores I go to as soon as I come in someone comes up to me that asked me if there’s anything they can do to help that is so appreciated you have no idea and even though I have a pretty good idea of what I need they usually have something expertise to add that I didn’t think of which is great. The associate who waits on me usually drops whatever they’re doing to help me out which is fantastic. Kudos to Barry’s Ace hardware. The store has been instrumental and helping me resurrect my old Ironhead Sportster by providing numerous hardware ie nuts and bolts all different sizes and threads.

LOVE THIS PLACE! Every time I come in the employees are helpful and the store has exactly what I need. I also want to shout out Robert especially. Came in over the weekend with a project and he helped me pick materials, plan the project, and was just an amazing resource. Highly recommend coming here.

Needed a specific fitting to accommodate a 1/2″ female faucet connection to a preexisting add a tap with a 3/8″ male…. Matt went above and beyond to get me everything I needed for a clean install. This will be the new go to Ace for me and the rest of the guys at our shop. Kudos!!

Barry’s Ace Hardware performed a miracle when mixing paint to bring my 50 year old water fountain back to life. Ben, Matt, Robert and Rod went out of their way to find a solution to recreate the exact color I needed. Paint manufacturer guaranteed only 5 pastel colors —definitely no terra cotta. These 4 guys thought out of the box when Ben came up with a paint color combination that hit a bullseye. This is why we support small businesses such as Barry’s. They care about providing outstanding service.

Adapted Texaco Gas Pump Light – Amazing Job! We purchased this semi- finished small refrigerator that resembled a gas pump. A non-functional, unattached Texaco lamp also came with it. Having no knowledge or experience to complete our idea, Matt came to our rescue and did an AweSome professional job adapting it to the top of the replica gas pump refrigerator! Although I’ve lived less than a mile away for two years, it’s quietly tucked away, between a QT and a Panda Express. 50 yards from the Light Rail. Both employees I interacted with were knowledgeable and courteous. There was little to no wait. Nice experience!

Friendly service with a wide variety of home and commercial material stores. Plumbers, landscapers, and all blue collars is a hub for you guys. Perfect for him DIYS and garden items including services such as tool rentals, floor installation, credit services, and general questions. Departments such as: flooring, lighting, plumbing, carpeting, wood, garden, and accessories for all home and garden needs.

The customer service was very disappointing. The staff constantly followed me around the store and stood in same aisle, while I was trying to make my selections, which made me feel uncomfortable and pressured. Instead of creating a welcoming shopping experience, it felt like I was being watched the entire time. Customers should be given space to browse and shop without feeling monitored. I hope the store improves its customer service and treats customers with more respect and trust.

Whoever answers the phone at customer service for this location is terrible. I was calling to check the deadline for a countertop pickup that just got delivered to the store, as I wanted to make sure I could get it before my order was cancelled and I was charged. She kept interrupting me while I was speaking to say, “I’ve never heard of that happening.” Ma’am I can see it right here on this email, but there is a bug in the code that generates the email because the deadline date is gibberish. It says if we don’t pick it up by xxx, the order will be returned and I will be charged a fee. What is that date? “I’ve never heard of that. You just need to pick it up.” Ok, if I pick it up on Saturday can you make sure the order isn’t cancelled and I’m not charged a fee before then? “I can’t guarantee that. You need to pick it up.” Zero help. Zero details that could be shared. Zero idea what sort of messaging is in the Lowe’s customer service email. Zero idea on policy or processes. Zero customer service. I don’t usually complain, but it was extremely frustrating and I as shocked by how rude she was. Never even introduced herself or told me her name.

This review is based SOLELY on their RETURN policies. We bought an evap cooler a few weeks ago. It wasn’t working as expected; the louvers wouldn’t stay in place and it didn’t cover the square footage we expected. When we returned it, we were told there is a 48hr return policy for the cooler therefore they wouldn’t accept the return! 48hrs! We weren’t told about this at the time of purchase! When we were returning the item they said the policy is listed on the board – the board that is at the ENTRANCE! SERIOUSLY! The manager told us to contact the manufacturer. Apparently after you make a purchase, you need to go to the FRONT entrance of the store and read the return policy?!?! The manager was kind, professional and did work with us after some discussion. We appreciated that, however, it doesn’t change the fact that 1) the return policy for ‘major appliances’ is 48hrs. (does that include sleeping hours? Or business hours? ) 2) This policy is not listed on the receipt or at check out (screen or the clerk) 3) an evaporator cooler is considered a major appliance. 4) 48hrs for a major appliance is not enough time to determine if the product is acceptable. It was freighting to think the $1200 stove was on a 48hr return… Were the $400 toilets on the same return policy? Anyway……. NOTE: We now know they have 48hr, 30day and 90 day policies. We shop at this LOWE’s A LOT. We have done many yard and home remodels, repairs for our home and also a rental. We have spent 10s of thousand of dollars here (not exaggeration) and we don’t return many items. We love this store but now I’m hesitant to use Lowe’s for certain products. We are very disappointed. I do thank the manager for working with us.

Went in, found Iwhat I was looking for (washer valve). and wanted to make sure is the same interior diameter size before I buy the piece.asked the Manager(girl) if I can untight the new valve to make sure is what I really need… She told NO we not do that. So I walked out and went to the comperator

Oscar is fairly a new employee at this location with being employed approximately 2 months ago. Today, I had a return that I purchased over two years ago and could not use due to two surgeries I needed on my left leg. I did not read my receipt that 30 days is the limit for returns. Oscar still attempted to get me a refund with a store credit by contacting an assistant manager. Eventhough, I did not explain the over two years of not using the product was due to my leg disability, Oscar was able to get my return approved by talking to his supervisor. I feel Oscar is on track to not only becoming management one day, but maybe his own ACE store someday as he truly cares for his customers and goes over and beyond to help us with our purchases. Oscar is definitely deserving of a 5 star review. Thank you very much Oscar. I hope you have a long career in sales if that is your career goals as you truly do have customer skills. I returned to the store today to apologize for my miscommunication when I was there earlier in the day and he even handled that apology with responsibility and understanding. Again, thank you to Oscar, for caring for us customers.

I always get helped when I walk in. They really live up to their slogan. Ace is the place with the helpful hardware folks. I have never had a bad time when I come in. Although they dont always have what im looking for. The workers are really helpful in everywhere even to tell you where you can find an item somewhere else. Its really neat to have such a genuine place of people who want to help.

Love this Ace place. I usually just go and get one or two items and know what aisle I’m needing to go and be done, but this time I explored the whole store and was amazed at the all the low prices of the thing of I shop elsewhere.

Called this place to see if they do double sided glass windows with same day repairs and was told yes. As soon as my family walked in the store and before my son could even finish getting a word out they immediately told us NO! Before he could even ask the question. Very rude people here! My Family & I love coming here looking for new merchandise to purchase. Love looking at everything from seeds for flowers to painting supplies. We actually love looking at everything. Getting new ideas to make improvements and what not. Everyone that works there at ACE is helpful and always attentive. They have ceiling fans, regular fans, extension cords. All types of gadgets for your home. Store is always clean and well stocked. Most of the Employees are cool, but after a while of looking around they keep asking if you need help, if you told them once or twice you’re just looking, they keep asking if you have questions or need help with something its so damn annoying. Stop asking can I help you with something if your customer already refused help.

We had a wonderful experience at this place of business. We were welcomed as soon as we walked in the door. I asked a kind woman in the Postal section of the store for help, and she generously went over and beyond. The store has been remodeled recently and it is easier to navigate now. Every employee we encountered was amicable, efficient, knowledgeable and positive. We appreciated the service, product selection, store layout and parking. Ace is the best hardware store in all aspects!

I feel like they’re always renovating or changing something in the store, but it hasn’t bothered me yet. The staff is only super friendly and helpful. As soon as you walk in the door they’re asking me if I need help with anything here. If an employee sees you looking around, they will ask if you need help finding something. The cashiers are very friendly as well. They almost always have the battery sizes that I need for those weird batteries. Sale statement goes for the air filters. If you ever need a weird size air filter go to Ace Hardware. Home Depot won’t have it.

We were greeted by Brad and he was super helpful throughout the store. But I’ll back up… I called ahead to make sure Artie’s had what I was looking for, they did. In fact, the woman I spoke with on the phone actually put me on hold for a minute to verify that the product was on the shelf (not just in the computer inventory). So we drove over and saw that the store was being remodeled. Brad helped us find all the things that we were looking for – even some things that I didn’t think they had in stock. We got everything on our list! It was a pleasant, friendly experience and the employees seemed sensitive that things were a bit disorganized in the remodel process & were proactive to offer assistance. Great selection but Artie’s Ace Hardware is defined by the friendly & helpful staff. Edit: I forgot the mention that I saw a couple of things in the pet department that were way less $$ than what I’d just paid from a big online company. Ugh!

Really nice well set up and clean store. I ordered a few things online and picked them up here. I drove all the way from the south end of Gilbert as this store was the only ACE in the valley that had what I needed in stock. The items were ready at the order pickup desk when I came inside. The staff were very nice and I was in and out of the store within 2 minutes with my items and that’s on a busy Christmas Eve afternoon. Highly recommend this location.

I want to say the other staff was nice and patient and we appreciate that but we know one bad bean can sour it. The manager (we are assuming) was super rude even though we checked online twice about online inventory and refused to check for chainsaws with the exact item number. We understand that mistakes happen with online inventory, but please keep your staff understanding that it’s not the consumers fault and refused to be helpful at all. I gave a one at first but I realized the other staff do not deserve that but you really need to look at how leadership decides things on a store level ( ie they shouldn’t make a customer research the item Number when you have computers that do that and when it says there’s inventory you look which this manager did not).

I have been going to this Ace hardware off and on for years now, and I have never once been not greeted or asked what I needed help looking for. The other day, I went in and an associate named Tim helped me out. Today, an associate named Sandy did a phenomenal job helping me out- I am doing a custom project, so I only had an idea of what I needed. Sandy went above and beyond and immediately found the perfect thing for the job. You can truly feel a difference when you walk into an Ace hardware vs larger retail establishments, thank you for all you do!

Great Ace store! Stopped in to get some hardware, 2 screws and bolts for an electric scooter. They were so helpful and found the right size and the scooter handles were secure. I am so appreciative to the staff that took his time to help me out.

Stopped in to have keys made, because of great past experiences with the chain. This location was just as I expected, professional, attention to detail and guaranteed the work. Hands down the worst customer service anyone could experience. I spent $1500 here and ended up with one unit being defective. I called in and asked if I could return it and they said yes. I end up driving 45 minutes back to the store the next day and every single person there said that I can’t return in because of some policy c. And then I asked why nobody told me that on the phone. Well sir we aren’t required to tell customers if it’s policy c. Gfy ace. I’ll never support them again. Pathetic

Visited store yesterday after so long. I was super impressed how nice and helpful everyone is and how good the store smells. Very clean and you can find things so easily. Went in for air filters, but they were out of stock. Phil (sorry if I forgot your name) was very attentive and offered to help me put some aside and pickup when they arrive. I found some other cool and cute things I didn’t need but bought anyway ☺️ Definitely recommend this store for hardware and other things they carry. Shoutout to management because it’s so hard to find good customer service now in days and this store, every employee I ran into was above and beyond!!!

The Howard’s Ace Hardware (3111 E Indian School Rd) is great, and I truly enjoy the ease of shopping here with the variety of items they carry. And most importantly, the friendly and knowledgeable team members who are always ready to help!

Second time I went in recently and was treated like I was incompetent when asking for advice. I kept being told the issue wasn’t the issue I was having as these pompous guys kept gasliting me. I even politely asked them to stop debating the fact that I have given them to give advice on that. Kept insisting it wasn’t the problem. I went to Walt’s where I was listened and advised by 1 guy who didn’t have a good solution so even got another employee to see if he has suggestions to. The second employee also listened and I got the help I needed in a respectful manner.

This is hands-down the best Ace Hardware in the valley they have top-notch Customer Service helped me troubleshoot the projects. I’m working on that. I’m in to purchase stuff for. Just can’t say enough how helpful they always are to a home DIYer. Literally they are the reason I stay out of big box stores.

I love Ace Hardware. Every time I go there I’m impressed by their friendly customer service. If I seem like I’m looking for something, I’m asked by a floor staff member if I need assistance. And if I do need to ask for help, it’s just steps away. And their staff is super knowledgeable. But what I really love about Ace is how their inventory is so vast and well organized for such a moderate space. I always find what I need in a fraction of the time than when I go into big box hardware store.

Howards is the place to go to find obscure fasteners. Unlike the big box stores, they have walls full of nuts, bolts, screws, clips, etc. its also a good place if you would like some assistance with simple home repairs. They have pleasant and patient staff to guide you.

not very often you feel inclined to leave a review at a hardware store but customer service here is top tier! they greet you as you come and go, check in on you to make sure you’ve been helped, and are always helpful! (10/10 recommend if you need glass cut for shelf replacements)

I love this place. We’ve lived down the street for almost 12 years now, and I’ve been coming to this Ace Hardware the entire time. Yes sometimes you might have to go to Home Depot or Lowe’s for lumber or something bigger, but this Ace Hardware pretty much has everything you could possibly need for your home projects. But beyond all that the people that work there are incredibly kind, incredibly helpful. always have a smile and I’m so thankful that this little hardware store is in North Central Phoenix like it is. Just today I went there and all I needed was a little rubber washer for a new toilet we got that was missing one. This guy took five minutes to look at all the different ones they have to get the one that matched the most, and that meant a lot, and I appreciate it. Toilet installed perfectly!

Popped into Ace Hardware this past weekend after brunch (because who doesn’t like to follow mimosas with a little home improvement?). I was looking for something specific… except I had no idea what it was called, what it looked like, or where to begin. Just me, standing there in my brunch best, radiating confusion in aisle three. Enter Antonio—gorgeous, helpful, and probably the closest thing Ace has to a superhero. He saw the desperation on my face, swooped in like he’d been training for this moment, and within two minutes had helped me find exactly what I needed. Did I actually use it yet? No. But was it the right thing? Absolutely. Do I need to go back soon for something else I’ll pretend not to know the name of? …Also yes. Antonio was quick, friendly, knowledgeable, and did it all with a smile that deserves its own five-star rating. If you see this, Antonio—don’t be a stranger. Or do, so I have an excuse to get flustered at the lightbulb section again. 10/10 will be back. For tools. And maybe for love.

Came to get paint matched and no one would come to the paint desk had to go find someone, and no one really seemed to know anything about paint or matching paint. I feel like you should have at least one paint professional on? Especially if there’s what 4 isles of the store dedicated to paint lol

I’ve always found the people here to be very helpful and very knowledgeable. Not everyone is very knowledgeable about everything in the store but they’re not afraid to ask associates and get the right answer for you. Yes, it’s a little more expensive than going to a Home Depot or Lowe’s but it’s local, fast, convenient, and it gets the job done for me. Bonus: there’s a giant checker set in the middle of the store. It’s very easy to bring the kids and let them play checkers while I bebop through the isles and pick up what I need

Ace is supposed to be “The helpful place”. People specifically come to Ace hardware so that they can get the help they need instead of dealing with some idiot who knows nothing at the big box stores. I came here looking for an item and the kid working the register was basically lost in trying to help me. There was another customer there as well who was looking for a basic Lysol product and he simply told her he wasn’t sure if they sold it or not. I then asked for a manager and the manager tried to explain to his employee over the intercom to explain to me that what they had on the shelf was what I needed. I’ll drive 15 mi out of my way before I ever step inside this place again. Because it’s anything but helpful.
