What can I say other than if you go anywhere else you are wasting your time. When you walk in, you are greeted by a lovely lady named Kathy, who is exceptionally nice. She brings comfort to the atmosphere and greets you with an infectious smile that is sure to brighten your day! I had the pleasure of working with Michael Marion, and he was so fantastic. He was able to help our company in so many ways. He is exceptionally knowledged and takes the time to sit with you and explain how things will work. He has an absolute can-do-positive attitude and makes you feel very welcomed. My feeling is that this law firm is a true gem. I love that when I call I get a professional warm secretary to take my call. It was extremely fantastic that I was able to speak to the attorney directly. He took my call as if my case mattered. Attorney Bycer is very knowledgeable and I believe direct and not a time waster. The most unprofessional/rude attorney I have ever spoken with. I placed a phone call to see how much it would cost to trademark a company name. The receptionist was very polite and put me through to one of the attorneys right away. I was only on hold for less than a minute. I don't remember which attorney I spoke with but I do remember hearing him say his last name was either Bycer or Marion when he introduced himself. For me it didn't matter which one it was, I was just happy I was speaking directly to one of the main attorneys. I gave him information about the company name I wanted to trademark. He told me it couldn't be done because it had a generic type of word in the company name, then asked I'm sure you heard of...? Then names a company I've never heard of. I answered No. I haven't heard of them before. I didn't think my answer would make him irritated but it did. He became very curt with me. I guess I was just suppose to lie and say I HAVE heard of them? I brushed it off. I let him know, I'm not selling anything related to the companies name he mentioned. I also asked, since there's so many other trademarked companies with this generic type of word before or after their company name, would it be possible to hire you guys to do the same for me? The attorney literally raised his voice at me and said "WHAT DO YOU WANT!!!?" I felt extremely disrespected. I replied with I just wanted to see how much you guys would charge but never mind and I hung up. I hired a different law firm that same week. They not only treated me with respect but were also polite when answering my questions. THEY got my trademark approved! As far as Bycer & Marion, instead of being rude and raising your voice to potential clients and saying it can't be done. Just be upfront and say it can't be done by YOU. After this experience, the short hold time made sense. Now before you say you have no record of me, the information I gave you over the phone was my business email.
