I recently had my initial appointment with Serenity Mental Health Biltmore, and it exceeded my expectations. First impressions truly matter, and they absolutely got it right. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed, heard, and supported. A special thank you to Tara Leedham, NP, who made such a positive impact on my experience. She was compassionate, attentive, and took the time to listen to my concerns without judgment. Her professionalism, kindness, and genuine care made me feel comfortable and confident about taking this next step in my mental health journey. Because of the excellent care I received, I will definitely be returning and would highly recommend Serenity Mental Health to anyone seeking supportive and compassionate mental health care.

I have been seeing Dallas Martell at Serenity Mental Health for many months now. I have received kind and compassionate care from him, and the staff is always so friendly and kind. I went through TMS therapy at Serenity with my stellar TMS technician and coach, Joy. I am doing so much better after going through TMS therapy and I wake up each day feeling good and am able to better deal with the stresses of work and life. Dallas and Joy are amazing and I highly recommend Serenity to anyone who is suffering with anxiety or depression. Definitely 5 out of 5 stars, I’d give more if I could to Serenity and the amazing staff!

My psychiatrist, Tara Leedham, is incredible. I needed a signed letter from her at the last minute before leaving the country, and she handled it with such urgency because she knew I was on a time crunch. I definitely should have asked her sooner, but I really appreciated how she went to bat for me and made sure I had what I needed in time. She truly goes above and beyond for her patients and takes amazing care of them. Highly recommend her!

I’ve been going to Serenity Mental Health Centers (Biltmore location) since around 2020 and have seen a few different providers over the years. For the past couple of years, I’ve been seeing Dr. Brooks, and I really like him. He’s super friendly, knowledgeable, and it genuinely feels like he keeps up with current research. I also appreciate that he’s suggested supplements alongside medications to help support my mental health, which has been really helpful. That said… the wait times here are honestly pretty frustrating. Every single time I come in for an appointment, I end up waiting way longer than expected. At best, it’s usually at least 30 minutes past my scheduled time, and I’ve had one visit where I waited over an hour and a half. It really feels like they’re overbooking appointments, and it makes the whole experience stressful—especially when you plan your day around a set appointment time. I do really like Dr. Brooks, which is why I’ve stayed, but the consistent delays are enough that I’ve seriously considered switching to a provider outside of Serenity—it just feels like a hassle to start over somewhere new. If they could get the scheduling under control, this would be a much better experience overall.

I had a wonderful experience with the Serenity Biltmore location. I was struggling a lot with my mental health, and my therapist referred me to Serenity. I’m really grateful she did. I started seeing a doctor there in February and began TMS therapy on March 24th. My last session was May 14th. I want to be honest about my experience TMS worked for me because I stayed consistent not only with the therapy, but also with my medication, exercise, meditation, journaling, individual therapy sessions, and self-care at home. I really believe all of those things together helped activate neuroplasticity and made the treatment more effective. It does take effort and consistency, but it was completely worth it for me. I finally feel like my life is getting back on track. Without TMS therapy, it was hard for me to stay consistent with working on my mental health at home. TMS helped with my brain fog and made me feel better and more motivated to continue exercise and do other things. I also want to mention my tech, Xander. He was super friendly, supportive, and made the sessions feel comfortable and even fun. The staff there genuinely cares and wants to help people feel better. I would definitely recommend Serenity to anyone considering TMS therapy.

My first visit was fantastic! Tara was wonderful to work with. She listened and guided me exactly as I had hoped a new provider would. The office was also very nice with staff being welcoming. Parking validation was a huge plus. I admit the negative reviews had me a bit worried but this is a true patient with no affiliation other than wanting good care and I’m happy to report I got all I needed. Don’t let other negative experiences doubt you from trying for yourself. I will be continuing with Tara from now on. Thank you so much!

**THESE ARE P$YCHIATRI$T$** I was referred to Serenity by my PCP, as a possibly higher-quality alternative to Better Help. When they finally called to set up my first appointment, I was a little surprised at how personal the receptionist got over the phone regarding 1.) what was going on with me and 2.) What my billing information was, including asking me for my SSN, which I did not provide. The receptionist also seemed to be trying to pitch Ketamine to me, which seemed weird and aggressive, but I proceeded anyway. Despite my initial gut feeling that something was off, here, I went ahead and showed up to my first appointment. I have what I feel is comparatively good health insurance through BCBS. I was informed at the counter that the total amount due for my initial consultation was $279 after insurance! That really surprised me, and I ended up canceling and walking away paying the $150 "no-show" fee (which they happily collected). In the end, this is probably my fault for not doing my homework about this sort of provider. This place is certainly NOT the alternative to Better Help I was hoping it would be. I think this is a place full of true psychiatrists who are eager to diagno$e, *NOT* talk therapists. If you're looking for quick, easy meds and money isn't a thing for you, then these guys seem like the type of people who can get you what you want. If you're on a budget and/or just looking for regular, everyday CBT or reasonably priced talk therapy, you should look elsewhere.
