Life Time

📍 Swim schools in Phoenix

6.1

Life Time in Phoenix offers a comprehensive Swim School experience designed for families. While the facility provides extensive amenities and professional coaching, there are ongoing concerns regarding maintenance standards and equipment upkeep. Members may experience inconsistencies in the cleanliness of locker rooms and sauna areas.

The club features a diverse range of classes and specialized youth programming. However, the rising membership costs have led to scrutiny over the quality of facility management and the speed of repairs for broken machines.

Let me summarize this very quickly. Use to be great, now rundown with broken equipment that doesn’t get fixed for months, if at all. All while steadily raising your monthly dues and not maintaining the gym. Summary… •Constant Broken Equipment, missing grips, missing or broken pins on weight machines (see photo) •Recovery Chairs have been broken for months and reported to management several times. They know, but don’t fix. (See photos) Soap Dispensers filled with water, NOT soap, but water for weeks! Big health hazard. Reported to front desk and they said, "we know, the soap is on back order". YOU KNEW AND DIDN’T GO BUY SOAP AT COSTCO OR WALMART IN THE MEANTIME?! Are you kidding me?! If you want to act like LA Fitness, change your name and drop your rates. If you want to be an elite gym, do a lot better. And I held off a long time before blasting Lifetime Scottsdale on here, so do better please.

Absolutely my favorite gym of all time. It's more than just a gym. My son and family literally spend all weekend and almost every day after school here for hours. It's a wonderful one of a kind membership. Everything is so clean, classes every hour, locations all over the country and all the equipment you need. Kids academy is an amazing time for kids.

I never really leave reviews, but I had to after my intro stretch with Casie (I think that’s how you spell her name 😂). She was super easy to talk to, made me feel really comfortable, and explained everything as we went. I left feeling so much better, and it’s been a few days now and I still feel amazing. I honestly didn’t realize how much I needed it. I’ll definitely be back and would 100% recommend booking with her!

I’ve been a loyal member for years, and it’s honestly disappointing to see the condition this gym has fallen into. The locker rooms and sauna are consistently dirty, outdated, and poorly maintained. The sauna especially feels neglected grime buildup, bad smell, and clearly not cleaned nearly enough. What really pushed me to leave this review was getting an email saying my membership rate is increasing with barely a month’s notice. When I questioned why loyal members are paying more while the facility conditions continue getting worse, I got no real explanation or effort to keep my rate the same. If rates are going up, the cleanliness and upkeep should at least reflect it. Right now, it feels like members are paying more for less.

Have been to every club in the Valley, including the other Lifetimes. The folks at the North Scottsdale Lifetime Fitness are in a league of their own. Forward facing staff always immaculate and accommodating, the facilities always spotless- the whole place is just laid out well. The other locations should take a long hard look at your fixed operations and mimic them. Kudos!

I've been a member at this LifeTime for years, paying for memberships for my wife, two kids, and club swim. It's not a small monthly expense. A few weeks ago, while parked in a designated front pickup spot waiting on my kids from swim practice, another member berated me and threatened bodily harm, in front of my children, over the parking spot. I reported the incident to the club and asked for a callback from the GM. After several days of silence, I called again and was told someone would follow up. A day later I received a voicemail from Kamery Garlick. I returned the call within 20 minutes, got voicemail, and left a message requesting a callback. That was nearly a week ago, and I still haven't heard anything. I understand LifeTime can't control the actions of another member, but I do expect a basic level of care when a safety incident involving my kids is reported. Going almost two weeks without a real conversation about a threat made on club property is unacceptable for a business charging this much for membership.
