Gecko Climbing Gym

I really like this place. My kids enjoy it a lot as well. It's a way to get healthy and strong and keep physically active while playing with their friends in a controlled and air conditioned environment. I like the different levels available for kids to climb. There's an upstairs workout area, but there's also a pull up area and dumbbells in the downstairs back corner. Restrooms are clean and yoga seems to be a thing. Good summer programs for the kiddos, too.

Over the years, I have tried just about all the rock gyms in the valley, and Gecko Climbing Gym is the best climbing gym in AZ by far! The quality and value of my annual membership is top-tier. Chris and his team consistently exceed expectations to keep the facility clean, fun, and safe. They do a fantastic job setting great climbs and routes that perfectly accommodate beginners, professionals, and everyone in between. I take my kids, family, and friends there regularly, and it is always a massive hit for all ages. If you are looking for an amazing community and a stellar climbing experience, this is the place to be!

We have been coming to Gecko for several years now - the first time we were looking to escape the summer heat, then a youth camp during a school break, and now all my kids are in the youth program. It’s amazing to see the progression and confidence they gain. Highly recommend Gecko to meet you where your skills are and build you into whatever kind of climber you want to be!

I came here for a group event and the staff was really great and friendly to our group. There's all different types of skill levels so really anybody can climb from the smallest to the largest in your crew. They have a bouldering wall which is really fun and you don't have to strap in for that one. The safety course was also really informative and I really liked that we got to do the demonstrations before taking it out on the floor. The facility was pretty clean, and the equipment was in good shape. My arms are so freaking sore 3 days later LOL. We're definitely coming back! I would recommend this place hands down!

Visiting family from Denver and decided to check out this gym. Only used auto belays, no bouldering, but found the route setting to be fantastic. Kind of stiff grades but on par with outdoors and a style reminiscent of outdoors which is refreshing. Thoughtful climbing. Think the owners are doing the best they can with the space they have, but I’m used to much larger gyms with longer routes and more variety in the terrain. Kids playing right under the first auto belays when you walk in was a bit concerning but wasn’t really a problem.
