Poor build and dishonest methods to push you into closing without fixes being completed on their build, no accountability for the build or knowledge in how to oversee a build. They didn't even try to hide the fact that the house was slapped together and kept pushing the closing date, had over 100 mixed issues and if we hadn't forced them to allow for the inspector to check things out prior to closing then we would have had allot more issues. I am first time home buyer and I would never buy from or recommend these guys to anyone. Go spend the extra 10-30k at another builder to not deal with these guys.

Would give this zero stars if possible. The absolute worst customer service I've ever experienced, showed up to buy a unit, the broker (Mike Bondy) informed us they opened at 10:00am, we arrived almost 30 minutes early to find the office opened early and already had a deposit on the unit we intended to buy. A very dishonest, misleading, and unethical way of conducting business. When asked about the opening time and what Mike Bondy told us the day before he shrugged his shoulders and said sorry, I have no doubt he knew the buyers personally and opened early to allow them to purchase the home knowing our intentions.

My third new build and the absolute worst experience I have had in real estate. My build was in La Placia in Cave Creek. The salesman had zero clue what options were offered and when they needed to be picked out. When we signed initial paperwork, he selected the wrong elevation with out asking. When we asked to change the builder threatened that we would lose our incentive, even though we had only been under contract for 1 week. The entire scheme is to get as much of your money up front to handcuff you to the transaction and give you little to no communication. It only gets worst when the build starts... you aren’t allowed to talk to the superintendent until pre-drywall inspection. Middle management stays anonymous and insulated from any complaints or issues. There is shady language in the contract that forces you to close when the home is still weeks away from a finished product, but if you don’t close there is a steep daily fine. Bottom line, Homes by Towne has a horrible culture that runs down into every aspect of their business. In their eyes the customer is always wrong and they make zero attempt to communicate or make things right.

Decent Builder. Happy with our home in Surprise, AZ. Only complaint, Communication could have be better. Terrible In-House lender. Very disorganized.
