Lookout Mountain Park

Lookout Mountain Park is wonderful! There are quite a bit of walking trails to choose from. They have easy, moderate and difficult, all of which are scenic and adventurous. There is a park for kids to play and also some workout equipment for the adults to enjoy as well! One of the things about this park that is enjoyable are the workout equipement scattered throughout the walking trail around the park. It makes it easy to get some steps in and some reps in! Highly recommend for walking enthusiasts and parents!

This neighborhood park has a huge lawn for dogs and kids to run, full of wild flowers in the spring. Plenty of trees and birds too. There are 2 play grounds, one for toddlers and one for older kids. Both have swings. There are two tennis courts and an exercise circuit. From the ample parking lot you can access clean restrooms, picnic areas with charcoal grills and the trails around and to the top of Lookout Mountain.

This is a beautiful hike with several different routes for every level of capability. The summit is moderately difficult to traverse with the heat. It incredibly rewarding once at the top, with scenic views of downtown Phoenix, and all of the surrounding mountain ranges that showcase the valley in all of it glory. It's not heavily trafficked and extremely clean.

Great hike. Option to do the circumference for a more leisurely experience or go up Lookout Mountain which is quite challenging. Beautiful views. Definitely something you would want to do during cooler weather, as there's really no shade.

Free parking but they have gates You have to make sure your vehicle is out before 10:00 p.m. at night before they close the gates
