the absolute worst leasing company to exist. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS TRASH COMPANY. they claimed false information on my fiancée, and violated my hippa rights and demand " full explanation " of what your disability is to need esa animals. if they do not like you as a tenant, they will find any reason to evict you, or force you out in 10 days. their customer service is also trash and very rude. do not rent with this agency.
This was the worst experience I’ve ever had working with a company. We tried to view 4 of their listings and either the lock box or door code didn’t work. We spent 45 min at each location on the phone or website trying to trouble shoot and they either hung up on us or told us they would report the problem. Don’t work with this company for housing! Nothing will work on self tours the way it is supposed to. Pathetic customer service!
I had a mostly positive 18-month tenancy, but the move-out process left a sour impression. The property was thoroughly cleaned and passed their inspection with no noted issues. However, over $500 was withheld from my deposit because I didn’t submit cleaning receipts at the time of key return—despite submitting them just a few days later, when asked to do so. I received no explanation as to why they asked for receipts and then they wouldn't even consider them. What a waste of time. My refund was further delayed with an issue with their bank. It felt like a technicality was used to justify keeping part of my deposit more so than a fair resolution.
My husband Michael and I rented a home in North Phoenix from Metro for 5 years. We decided we needed a change of scenery and a more updated home, so we put in our notice 60 days out from the end of our lease and just moved to a new build. Metro caused ZERO issues for us. And they returned 75% of our deposit today, charging for light cleaning and some broken blinds in the living room. We fully expected that and were happy to see they don’t "nickel and dime you" at move out. We rarely had any major issues with getting things taken care of. Their maintenance requests were easy and the problems were solved 99% of the time. (We only had issues with pool maintenance early on until they switched providers). We have no idea why they have so many negative reviews. Pay your rent on time, keep the home clean, request for maintenance when needed, and have the carpets/floors cleaned on move out. You’ll see no problems with them. The *only* thing we didn’t like was dealing with home inspections sporadically. I understand why they do them, but it was often inconvenient and inconsistent in timing. But the people that came in were always in and out in ten minutes, taking pictures and being friendly. We would definitely rent from them again in the future if the need arises to move.. thanks!
A friend told us about this place so we gave it a chance we did the meeting to go see the home the door would not work tried calling no one ever was available. So we decided to go see another place we seen it but still liked the first one even tho we didn't see the inside of it was the closest one to our job.. called so many times didn't get an answer left a voice message still didn't get a call back I got an email I tried to explain so many things they seem not to understand didn't even tried to help like other places we got denied maybe if they would have paid attention to what I was trying to explain would have been easier for us but they didn't even tried to even help took our money and didn't help at all I honestly would say get help somewhere else with people that really want to help not just take sorry I wouldn't recommend to anyone
Every time we do home repairs we’re reminded just how absolutely terrible a job Metro Real Estate did and how much we disliked dealing with them. Aside from calling our home inspector dishonest and fake because he gave it a lower value appraisal then they wanted, and aside from having to hold their hand and demand they fix the broken lights or countertops or switches or the fan hanging by a wire etc etc, the worst part was how they cut every corner they could. Replacing the mirror in a bathroom and found out they painted AROUND it. Instead of taking 2 sec to take it down, they painted around it and on it. That says a lot about their character and business practice. Not hard working. Not honest. Terrible to work with.
Went to a self service tour of a listing, they texted multiple times before showing asking to confirm I will be there. I showed up 10 minutes early and waited around for a total of about 45 minutes. Spoke with customer service who straight up lied to me that someone was on the way. They claimed that this was a guided tour which was absolutely not true. Then was asked to wait and no one showed up. Do not waste your time with an appointment for a tour, unless you like wasting your gas, time and ultimately money. Feels like they are running some kind of a scam collecting your information and then ghosting you. I would exercise caution if you decide to do business with this "company".
