Both of my parents live at Manor Village. My father is in memory care and my mother is in assisted living. We looked at a lot of places, but as soon as we walked in and spoke to Wesley & Toby we knew this was the right place. Everyone that works here is so friendly and they treat you like family. The memory care staff are amazing and my father is doing so well here.
It is clean, well taken care of and both of my parents enjoy the food. It is an amazing place, you will not regret putting your loved ones here.

I have been working at The Manor for almost 3 months now, and in that time I have found a job that doesn’t feel like work at all. It is evident that the people who run the company truly care for and value their employees, it shows in the way they treat us. The staff provide care that radiates genuine compassion and joy, the building itself is immaculate all thanks to our amazing housekeeping, and the energy of the community is vibrant. I’m so grateful to be a part of a team filled with such amazing people, and I look forward to a long career at The Manor!

I am a relatively new resident at Manor Village in the immediate vicinity of the Desert Ridge Mall in Phoenix, Arizona. When I began my search for a future residence for myself, I had several important criteria. Having three levels was crucial; Independent Living, Assisted Living and Memory Care. I found all three at Manor Village. As a facility that is three years old, the design of the facility is modern, user friendly and “:fresh”.

Manor Village emphasizes a positive attitude toward its residents They have definitely succeeded. Everyone who works here is helpful and supportive of the residents thus creating a warm and friendly atmosphere. They are here to help whether it is serving in the dining room, bringing food to units when necessary, providing supportive care or just a smile and “hello” when passing in the halls.

Additionally, there are numerous activities on site as well as frequent visits to outside venues including shopping, shows and places of general interest

Manor Village is truly a “Village”

My mom has been living in the memory care community at Manor Village since January. We did our research and toured 10 different memory care facilities in the general area. Within the first 5 minutes of touring Manor Village we knew it was the best place for mom. The sense of community and the true family feel at Manor Village is what sets it apart from the others.
Since moving into Manor Village my mom has adjusted incredibly well and is very happy. The staff is wonderful and have come to be like family to us. They take incredible care of my mom, they are extremely kind, patient and caring.
I highly recommend Manor Village to anyone looking for their loved one.

The Manor Village will forever hold a special place in my heart. I started my journey with this wonderful family owned community almost 11 years ago at their Scottsdale location. I quickly realized that this was a special place where families can be assured that their loved ones will be safe, cared for, and live their senior years with a positive quality of life and dignity. My father was a resident at The Manor for two years until his passing in 2021, and I was able to watch him enjoy his life to the fullest not only as an employee but as his daughter, which only strengthened my opinion of the quality of care and concern the Manor provides to their valued residents, family members, and staff. I am truly blessed to call everyone at The Manor Village my family. The residents are so kind and thoughtful, and the staff are outstanding! As I age, I plan to continue my role as Hospitality Coordinator and one day hope to become a resident in this beautiful community.

Our family selected the Manor Village for our mother for the intellectual stimulation and range of art, music, and other therapies we hoped it would offer her. Only one month has passed, but it has already met and exceeded our expectations. The big surprise for us is what a friendly and welcoming place it is. Everyone says “Hello” with a smile, whether they are residents, staff, or other visitors. We have also been impressed with the professionalism of the care givers, med techs, and activities directors. The facility is bright and clean with soothing colors and lots of light. The chef-curated menu offers a wonderful selection of meals.

The staff are sensitive to how difficult this decision and move to Memory Care can be for a family, and they convene a family support group and offer lots of advice. In the short time Mom has been there, we’re still learning about the interface with medical care and a few other aspects, but we are comfortable with the care our mother is receiving and know it is delivered gently and respectfully. We look forward to a long relationship with the Manor Village.

My mother has been a resident of the Manor Village, Independent Living, for the past year. As a family, we have been so happy with our decision to choose the Manor. The culture is that of helpful, kind, and caring people. The dining area and the building are very elegant and clean.
There is live entertainment in the lobby at least once a week, a theater, Bingo, and many other activities daily where the residents are able to get together and have a social life.
We visited numerous facilities and stopped searching for the right place when we toured the Manor Village!

My husband and I have been at Sagewood for almost 2.5 years. We are so grateful to be here. The many interesting people who have so many skills and talents makes life here satisfying. There are many things to be involved in, such as play reading, an open singing group, committees and special events. This is our forever home!

I have been a resident of Sagewood for 12 years. My husband and I made the best decision when we decided to move in here. Unfortunately he passed but I continued the journey to move in by myself. Best decision of my life. I have met and made so many friends. Sagewood is like living in a resort. So many eating venues, an 18 hole putting course, indoor and outdoor pool, and 5 dining venues. Administration is wonderful to work with and always has your best interest at heart. Activities galore. I can’t say enough about Sagewood.

My wife and I moved into Sagewood at Thanksgiving time last year (some 7 months ago), and have been extremely thankful that we did so. We downsized from our home in Scottsdale to a 1400-sq ft apartment in independent living, but still find the apartment more than adequate for our needs. There are many positives about living here. First and foremost are the people — the staff and the residents. The staff is always kind, courteous, and caring. Each member is more than helpful, always willing to accommodate almost any request. The residents — from those who moved in at Sagewood’s opening to the most recent members of the community — are without exception some of the nicest individuals one would hope to meet.
In addition to the people at Sagewood, the facilities and activities are superb. Activities include on-sight concerts, lectures, movies, and group activities of all kinds — bridge, poker, pickleball, exercise and fitness programs. The list is nearly endless.
I could go on and on, but the message is clear: This is a fantastic facility.

Put my mom in here and had to get her out after 3 days. Way too many issues to even mention When it comes to skilled nursing centers you must stay on top of things and not just assume everyone’s going to do the right or proper thing when it comes to the care of your loved one.

We moved to Sagewood 4 1/2 years ago and it has been a wonderful life from Day 1. It is a beautiful place with lovely grounds, but what makes it so special are the management, staff and residents who are all so welcoming and friendly. The food at our five restaurants is exceptional, so we really enjoy casual or more formal dining with new friends or old. Daily activities abound here and there are so many from which to choose each day: fitness classes, swimming in the indoor and outdoor pools, pickle ball, golf on the putting course, wii bowling, bridge, poker, MahJongg, pool, and on and on. The professional classical and jazz music programs that come to Sagewood are terrific, as are the many educational learning lectures. We are so happy with all the friends we have met and are thankful every day that Sagewood is our home.

We came to Sagewood with very high expectations.
It has far exceeded all that we expected.
This is a community for Mature Adults, it is so much fun.
We have been here for a year now and are still experiencing new activities.
We especially enjoy the many music programs, all types of sports including Pickleball and our 18 hole golf putting course.
Walking the campus is breathtaking, so many varieties of trees and flowers. Watching our owlets(4) grow makes us feel almost like parents.
Our five plus restaurants and two bars make it hard to choose.
You just don’t know how good Sagewood living really is just by a visit, there is so much more!
Probably the best take-away is the friendliness of other residents and staff.

Our mother lived here for 3 years as she transitioned from her own home – until she moved home to Vermont.
Fellowship worked for her – friendly atmosphere, a lot of activities, nice dining room. Recent decor updates have been a fresh site as well.
Security team was always helpful, maintenance worked requests timely and administration was on top of it.
On site hairstylist was awesome and the transport team for doctor appointments.
Just… lovely.
If you’re looking for a safe place for mom or dad – look at Fellowship.

My mother just moved here, and we have been impressed from the moment we stepped on the campus. Rozelle was amazing in being patient during our many tours. She found my mother the perfect apartment. Then we ate in the dining hall. The food was amazing and the waiters- Luis, Joshua, and Riley were personable and took excellent care of us. I am so happy to know that my mother is at such a great place!

My mom has been here for just over a month now. At first she was reluctant to go to an assisted living facility, but once we toured and met the staff, she was all for it. The staff are all so friendly, courteous, and accommodating. Even the residents are all friendly. It truly is a fellowship, like a big family.

We appreciated the up front costs and open communications. The prices you see in the website are what you truly do pay, and with monthly specials, the move in may be even lower cost. We looked at several facilities with exorbitant ‘move in fees’ over $100k, just for the ‘privilege’ to live there, and hidden monthly fees for various amenities. None of that nonsense here, just honest, friendly, loving staff.

The only real complaint I have heard from mom is that she didn’t care for a few of the meals, but with multiple options each day, she can always find something she does like.

If you’re looking for a place for yourself or a parent, you won’t be disappointed.

My mom has lived here for over 14 years and we visit regularly. My mom loves it. They are always updating the facilities. The food is excellent. I did not care for what I ate in the dining room only a couple of times. And, if you do not care for what you are served they will bring you something else as the menu has lots of choices! Last year they updated my mom’s apartment at no charge! The staff is wonderful. They have lots of activities and provide regularly scheduled transportation to doctors, shopping and special programs. I would highly recommend Fellowship Square!

Nice! I have had two grandma’s live here (assisted living), a couple of family friends, and also met some really nice people.

The food at the restaurant is surprisingly good and the staff is also amicable. The grounds are well kept and there is even a nice little pond with koi fish and turtles, tons of shade, and outdoor seating areas. It is nice to have the gate surrounding the area although it is unlocked all day.

I do not know much about the other buildings besides the assisted living area, but I have heard they are more like hospital rooms.

It is a Christian facility and they also offer services for other denominations, have activities for the residents like singing, games, festivals, a computer/learning center, gift shop, outdoor swimming pool, and others.

I have always enjoyed visiting and eating here with my grandma’s and I really wouldn’t mind ending up here myself!

From the first tour of the community to move-in day, the staff at Bethesda helped me each step of the way. The tour of the community was unique in that everyone was welcoming and took the time to care for our needs and concerns. My loved one is most happy about this transition in life and Bethesda staff made it easy. We were treated with dignity and respect with each interaction. I highly recommend this community for anyone unsure of their decision about which community to choose. Bethesda Gardens is truly a place to call home.

Moving my husbands mom to Bethesda was a very positive experience. Christina worked so hard to help me make the move happen and then greeted her at the door with the sweetest bear and a Phoenix Suns pendant!! Kyle met us with a hydrangea. She felt so welcome , the staff was very helpful . Crystal kept coming in to check on us and Lupe is wonderful with Katie We are very happy thank you. When we come to visit there has been a staff member sitting with her helping her acclimate. I’m so impressed and appreciative. Thank you.

I moved my dad to Bethesda Gardens last month & I am very happy I made this decision. The previous facility was quite a bit more expensive & Bethesda is more in his budget. Besides a 1 week vacation, I have stopped by for 15-90 minutes every day & I don’t know why, but I have become a new person. I now interact & feel comfortable with being with my dad and the other patients which I have never felt before. The move in was easy as Cristina helped me through all the steps & very nice. Crystal is responsible for my dad on a daily basis & she is a godsend. Very caring & nice!! I have watched Kyle interact with the staff in passing & everyone seems to really like working there. Very friendly & patient staff. I walk my dad through the facility most days & everyone on the staff is so nice & friendly as we pass by. I would recommend Bethesda to anyone who wants to pay a fair price, with a caring, patient & friendly staff.

Bethesda became a second family to my Grandma for years. From the caring staff to the warm community of residents, they truly loved her. My Grandma Doris, who sadly passed away this month at the age of 98, spent her days happily playing cards and bingo. Bethesda always had engaging activities and events for the residents, giving them something to look forward to. The staff’s dedication and compassion were evident in everything they did. We are forever grateful for Bethesda and highly recommend it to anyone seeking a caring place for their loved ones.

Cristina and Kyle were wonderful to work with to move my Mom into Bethesda Gardens. Cristina welcomed us with open arms, literally, my Mom hugged her several times, and Kyle was so kind and explained all the rules and lease information to Mom, my sister, and myself. Everyone, I mean everyone, has been a pleasure to meet and the entire environment is so welcoming and warm. I tell my Mom it seems like she is moving into a resort, and I really believe it. Bethesda Gardens has worked with us on every aspect of Mom’s move, and we look forward to her living for many years there.

I had to find a place quickly to move my mom in January and after visiting many places I found Bethesda. Christina Cook was so kind and helpful in placing my mother. They completely renovated a one bedroom apartment for her . Although her move was a big adjustment for her from living Independently I can rest at night knowing there is 24 hour help for my mother. She is adjusting well and they encourage her daily to get involved in daily activities. Kyle the Director was very nice. The few staff I have met have been so nice. My only concern is they seem to be a bit short staffed and dining service can be slow. No concern of mine has not been addressed . I am there weekly and am a Family Nurse Practitioner so I can be highly critical. This place has exceeded my expectations. Christina Cook is an excellent point of contact if you are interested in a tour.

My Aunt was placed on their list back in November. We’ve tried to call/left v-mails several times since January for a status with no call back. I even went to the property and couldn’t get anyone to pickup or answer. Since the door is locked it was a complete waste of time. It’s a shame because she really liked the place, but how can she live there if they don’t answer the phone.

Nice cold air and privacy galore….Read the Bible sometimes or get lost in a reflection of one self, alone with out any distractions what whatsoever etc…Hospitality room 0 gigantic kitchen dog run etc . Please push the more button more..I was kicked out in a situation that was nothing but SHOCKING UNBELIEVABLE LIES by several of the tenants and the manager & the staff ( lying like Joe Biden blaming the border crisis on Trump … Shocking unbelievable evil wicked persecution repeatedly over and over in your face to get me kicked out simply because I’m a Christian …. If you’re a Christian do not move to Broadway Terrace, do not !!! They will bold face lie and accuse you of smoking when you quit smoking for 10 months … And the manager will agree with Juan … I overheard one telling the manager just say you smell smoke the minute he opens the door… when I was there and I quit smoking for 10 months he was saying he’s smelling smoke in my place …That is false witnessing …
just like what is it written in the Bible to about beware of the wicked in the world that will simply slay you for being a Christian…. I’m not perfect because I’m human but I’ll tell you what this place is wicked and evil and they false witnessed me out of my place by the manager who doesn’t even know me and said awful things in court about me that are untrue & it’s unbelievable… I make a lousy $960 on my social security money and I will gladly pay for a lie detector test between me and the staff and the management and some of the tenants that are wicked not simply sinners but wicked and evil they have caused me to lose my place but what’s worse is they wanted me to move out in 24 hours and I have a bad heart and I’m 67 years old …. Then the manager says you have 14 days to get your deposit back and today’s the last day when I had a couch a loveseat a coffee table a bad and she wanted me to move it all out within 2 hours when it’s 106 degress out side … She was literally trying to kill me I’m sorry but I believe the owner is been talking to the management about how to get me out of there for being a Christian

My experience working with a private client at The Terraces of Phoenix (Assisted living area), is superior, the entire team that assisted in the care of the resident, from front desk clerk delivering her package to apartment, Med techs, house keeping, most of all the amazing kitchen/ dinning area, the healthy and delicious meals from the chefs, at times goes above and beyond their duties ensuring the resident are happy and well fed at meal times, fine dinning styles with traditional and international menu idea.

Beautiful landscape, walking trail with wonderful sight seeing for resident. Not to mention activities daily.

If you are looking for a place to called home, peace of mind. Denfinely recommend this place.

Five Star +!!

Do not send your loved one here for rehab. No consistency or communication between front line staff. Some good front line nurses and aids but generally no one seemed to know anything about my loved one and would ask us questions about his care. Nurse call button left in a drawer out of reach and used biohazard medical equipment left in the bathroom sink. Admin even worse. My loved one was there for over a week and we had to ask for communication with the SW and other support professionals. Requests for calls from admin delayed by two days. Health doesn’t take the weekends off. Case planning meeting sounded like a cut and paste of every other patient and like they never even met my loved one who was declining under their eyes. Do not let your loved one be sent here for rehab.

The staff are very kind and understanding and the physical therapy has helped my Nana immensely. Before coming here, my Nana had fallen several times and severely damaged her spine and after only a few months she might be able to come home soon. We’ve tried other facilities but no other place has the same level of care or even the same amount, between physical therapy, occupational therapy, wound care, etc. (plus the food is delicious).

The Terraces of Phoenix has been my home for 12 years. I feel so fortunate to be here. In a long ago conversation with my mother, who lived in a lovely community, we talked about the fact that most people wait too long to make this move. They seem to get this wonderful way of life mixed up with old nursing homes. Nothing could be further from the truth. We decided that age 70 would be perfect. I was 69 when i moved to the Terraces. Now I am 81 and limited by a chronic disease, but I have so many friends because I was still active when I moved in. Living here is like going on a land-locked cruise: all you have to do is meet your friends for dinner, and there are shore excursions!

My wife and I visited at least 10 life care or senior living facilities before coming here. The Terraces offered attractive apartments, a convenient location, and beautiful landscaping. We felt comfortable during each visit to ToP but it wasn’t apparent until after moving in when we discovered the wonderful relationships between residents and the friendly, caring actions by the team members.

The fitness teammates are amazing! Their experience and professional skills combined with their efforts in consistently helping each individual participant to do their personal best gives a sense of belonging to a community that cares. And that is the Terraces of Phoenix!

I would not recommend this facility to anyone—either as a place to work or for the care of a loved one. Unfortunately, the leadership lacks the necessary experience and empathy to run a compassionate, organized, and inclusive environment. The Director of Nursing has displayed behavior that many have experienced as unprofessional and unsupportive, which contributes to low morale among staff. Similarly, the Health Center Administrator appears more focused on protecting their own reputation than on addressing ongoing issues that impact both staff and residents.

Communication is poor, employee support is lacking, and there is little evidence of a team-oriented culture. Many employees feel undervalued and overworked, and the environment often feels more focused on metrics than on actual patient care. It’s also worth noting that the facility currently has a Red Hand rating from the State, and is under continuous observation—something that reflects the seriousness of the internal problems.

There is great potential for this place to improve, but it will require a major shift in leadership accountability, empathy, and a renewed focus on both employee well-being and resident care. Until then, I would urge caution when considering this facility.

My Mom has been living in Assisted Living for the last 20 months. As her cognitive abilities have declined we found it necessary to move her to a Memory Care Facility. I had done a search of Memory Care Facilities previously, and quite frankly they all made me feel sad and overwhelmed. I was never sure what would be a good “fit” for my Mom. Some places had no residents out in the common areas socializing, some appeared to have a Nursing Home or hospital wing feel.

In May 2021, I needed to not delay finding a new place for my Mom, since a few incidents made us aware that her personal safety was at risk. I had heard a radio advertisement about the Retreat at Alameda, and decided to go there to see what it was all about. The Retreat had not formally opened, and was a week from opening their doors. I happened to get there when the Sales Director was finishing a tour with a potential resident’s family.

When I walked into the Retreat at Alameda, and was warmly greeted by Toni, I immediately felt that this place was different. We had a great discussion on the care that would be provided, and I felt that there was a genuine interest in providing the best possible care to all residents. It did not matter if a resident was in Memory Care or Assisted Living. It was an easy decision to move my Mom there.

I have not been disappointed at all. I was guided on how to make the transition for my Mom, and all that was required of me to set her up in her new studio suite.

My Mom has been very happy and content since she has been there. There are always activities and special events occurring, and I am always informed of them. Family and loved ones are always invited to visit and participate in any of the seminars or special events.

The way I know that the Retreat at Alameda was the right choice for my Mom is; When I would leave her when she was at her previous place, I would always feel uneasy, and was not sure if she was being monitored and cared for as I would like and expect. I worried constantly.

When I leave my Mom now, I feel content and know she is getting great care. She is always dressed well, clean, and participating in activities. Her room is always in excellent condition, and the housekeeping staff maintain her room better than I would. She is always carrying a drinking container with water, having snacks and fed well. The food is exceptional as well.

I also feel that every member of the staff is committed to giving all residents remarkable care. I have seen it in action as a visitor as well.

I would strongly recommend the Retreat at Alameda. If you have any doubts at all, attend one of the many events that they have. Go for a tour. See how the residents look and sound. You will not be disappointed!

My mom never had the opportunity to move in as she passed away a few days before her move in date in late January. That sad news aside, I want to say how wonderful, thoughtful, and helpful Nicole and Chloe were in the steps up to and including the tour and preparing an apartment for my mom in their assisted living section. They were polite and professional. Nicole and some members from the nursing staff even visited my mom when she was at the rehabilitation facility.
I was very impressed with the Retreat, and my mom was very excited about moving in. I wish of course that events were different and I was talking about how she loves it there right now…alas, the process to move in is all I can say, and it was very good.
Even after my mom’s passing, the Retreat called us to check in and wish us well. We appreciated that very much. Thank you!!

I have been looking at assisted living communities to move my Mom. As we know this is a such an important decision and we have settled at The Retreat at Alameda and will be moving her in this month. Why was this the choice, many reasons. It is a smaller community, with amazing apartments and the care team all are the exact people you want taking care of your loved one. I have been dreading this day and now I am actually looking forward to it. Thank you Chloe for being so helpful! 🙂

My mother has been at Retreat for over a year now. The personal care and medical technicians are amazing!! Their compassion, patience, and care of the residents shows in the many smiles I see on the residents faces when I’m there. The care givers jobs are not easy yet I’ve observed they have ready smiles and a “Hello” for people they pass by.

The food is good to great with varied healthy offerings, comfort food, and yummy desserts. On holidays the menu includes special seasonal offerings and the facility decorates the dining area creating a festive environment. They even have weekly happy hours, sometimes live music or some other interactive events keeping the residents engaged.

The Activities Director is high energy and creative. There are baking and art classes, off property field trips, mild exercise classes and of course bingo among other activities that focus on keeping the residents social and mentally stimulated.

Now, the business side of things. David, the Executive Director, has been communicative and a pleasure to work with. His Leadership mentality vs. Manager is reflected in the positive attitudes and good work exemplified by his staff. The different departments meet regularly to share information and observations of every resident so they have a clearer picture of their situation. There appears to be low turnover of staff (not just the managers) which is a credit to the environment. It would not surprise me if there’s a high burn out rate for caregivers.

Make no mistake, this is a business and there are ups and downs, and people have good days and bad days. People with dementia or Alzheimer’s are not easy to work with sometimes. This group of people handle it with grace and perseverance when things get rough, and keeping the residence safe and as happy as possible is always their main goal.

I highly recommend The Retreat at Alameda.

Not sure about the assisted living side, but when I took a tour of the memory care facility I was not impressed. First thing I noticed was there wasn’t a lot of natural sunlight coming in. My husband and I were given a tour and I just wasn’t impressed at all. Just seemed dark, dingy and very sad. It actually gave me a sick feeing in my stomach even thinking about putting my mom who has dementia there. It was so very depressing. People eating along at a dining table, one old guy shuffling back and forth with a hospital gown on. I wouldn’t put anyone you love in their memory care center. I ended up with a group home for mom and it is wonderful. Much better choice than that place.

Worst people to work for. HR lady is rude and hostile, she yells at employees for asking questions instead of being helpful. They mess with your sick time and pto. If you’re thinking about working here, think again. As in regards to the care staff, they’re incompetent. Management doesn’t do much to educate and train employees. The caregivers they do have don’t care about the residents and providing the best quality of life. ED doesn’t advocate for residents or employees. Just a bad place full circle.

My aunt moved into The Ridge at Stratford a little over a month ago, and she is truly flourishing—it’s like she’s been given a second chance at life! The staff here are friendly, attentive, and really know their residents.

Valerie, who gave us our initial tour, was incredibly helpful throughout the entire process and has continued to be a blessing even after move-in. Amy from the medical staff has assisted my aunt a few times and always treats her with dignity and respect, which gives our family great peace of mind. Aly, the event director, keeps the days engaging and fun with classic game shows, live music, pet visits, and more—there’s always something for residents to enjoy if they wish to participate.

The facility itself is beautiful and well-maintained, and the facilities manager is extremely responsive. Overall, I have complete trust that my aunt is being cared for and supported in a safe, welcoming environment. We couldn’t be happier with our choice!

My sisters and I toured this facility in hopes of moving our Dad to live there. It’s clean, smells new, has incredibly authentically friendly staff and the apartments while small had the opportunity for personal touches. While this change isn’t happening soon I want to thank Valerie for her INCREDIBLE customer service acumen. She is truly the perfect person to navigate through the decision of change. Valerie is patient, personable, has a sense of humor and sincerely provided the best experience for us while considering The Ridge.

My mom lived here 3 months, couldn’t get her out soon enough. Had to speak to Mindy and the nurse on a few occasions as my mom’s levothyroxine was not given to her.

The med tech was writing gave it, but still in the bottle!! The staff acknowledged this via email and in our conversations. Unfortunately, I didn’t realize how bad it was till her TSH tested.

Within a month and a half/two months living there her TSH went over 115!!! This caused what the doctors call encephalopathy a swelling of the brain. It’s all documented.

Besides my moms issues, a lot of people smelled like pee. My mom was not being showered regularly, I would take her to my house to shower her. The staff was constantly fighting with each other and that trickled down to the residence. The residence meetings often complained about medication management issues. The environment was not a healing environment.

Overall, a draining experience both emotionally and financially. Initially I asked for pet fee back and moving expenses, Mindy was supposed to get back to me and never did. I had no idea what was to come. At the end of the day, I also had to pay for a lot of extra therapy to get my mom better. Their actions really messed my mom up and that is why I am sharing. I was just grateful a place opened so I could move her out.

If I could give zero stars I would. I don’t recommend the Stratford if your parent is not cognizant enough to mind for themselves and know the medication they are receiving.

I stopped by the Stratford for a tour because it is located in a beautiful neighborhood with a convenient north central location just off 19th Ave on a quiet residential street. I did not have an appointment but was greeted by the beautiful smile of Olivia. I chatted with a few residents who appeared cheerful and happy to be embarking on an outing to the local thrift shop. Other residents milled about the lobby taking advantage of the refreshments and comfortable surroundings. Valerie appeared shortly and we toured a model apartment. It was spacious, light, clean and well appointed with a large walk-in closet. She was very warm and caring as we discussed the needs of my loved one. I left with a sense the staff here truly cares about the wellbeing and happiness of their residents. This community has all the essential amenities and feels secure but also relaxed and homey. Well worth a visit!

DO NOT PLACE YOUR LOVED ONE AT OLIVE GROVE ASSISTED LIVING. I worked at this facility for just over a week and a half before i could not take it anymore. It is genuinely sickening how inhumanly the residents are treated. This place needs to be investigated and definitely SHUT DOWN.
The building is filthy. There’s a constant smell of urine and bodily fluids. Residents are neglected many unwashed and wearing dirty or ripped clothes for days, resident rooms are filled with cockroaches crawling through all the piles of trash and clutter. not to mention the bed bug infestation. (another huge reason of me leaving, minimum wage is not worth bringing home these pests.) Walls are damaged. Sinks are unusable. In the kitchen Ceiling panels are broken, with debris risking contamination of food. Leftovers are served repeatedly for days.
The caregivers are not certified, don’t speak/understand English fluently and cannot communicate or provide proper care. Even if they hired more staff, the core issues are deeper. Care is nonexistent. The close to nothing management there is hides in their office’s, avoiding concerns, refusing to help, shows no compassion or any authority as long as their paycheck hits.
It’s a toxic, exploitative environment from top to bottom.
If this doesn’t convince you enough, do a tour yourself, maybe speak to a resident as well. Ask them about their unstable routines and schedules given the facility changing their company /name/ owners THREE times in ONE year and currently trying to sell again. Furthermore, this recent company “Care Partners Living,” when they took over, they evicted vulnerable residents who couldn’t pay and dropped them off homeless shelters. Many were disabled or mentally impaired and completely unable to care for themselves, let alone survive without help.
Another example: a resident named Luis, is on medication that makes him drowsy, and he often misses early mealtimes. As they only have breakfast and lunch one hour apart and is served early. Instead of offering any understanding or accommodation, just simply locks the dining room and refuses him food. No trays delivered. No compassion. Just starvation.
This just continues to prove the heartless money hungry people who run the place.
This place is not an assisted living it’s neglect and abuse. If i saw all this within a week and a half i can’t imagine what else is happening/ has happened that no one knows about. Please, do not allow anyone you care about to be placed here. i would never recommend it, and wouldn’t even leave my worst enemy in this facility to be dehumanized.

I have lived at Olive Grove for a year and a half and I’ve watched changes for the good that I made this place better the staff is welcoming and caring and loving. I don’t think there’s a better assisted living place out there. I’d give it 10 Stars if I could.

Where to even start. This place deserves a negative 5 stars. If you love your family members DO NOT place them here, Bed bugs all over the place. The showers in MC don’t work either boiling hot water or freezing cold. Work orders won’t get you anywhere so no one’s getting any showers. Caregivers are left to work the floor alone people quit faster than they can hire. Night time 1 caregivers left all the time to work Memory Care and Assisted Living (which is horrible for staff and residents) and illegal to do. Teresa the “RCC” can’t even make a schedule has zero clue on what she’s doing. Thinks screaming at staff will get her what she wants. Deborah tells people I wouldn’t ask you to do anything I wouldn’t do, yet when caregivers are short handed none of the ” management” team is anywhere to be seen. And if you are looking for a job don’t do it RUN the other way. Worst place I’ve seen in 2 decades as a caregiver,

Ever since I’ve came to Olive Grove to live 2 years ago. My life has changed. I’ve been a lot of good staff here and I think this new stuff that they brought in is doing a real good job. The new lady her name is crystal the lady that’s our executive director’s name is esperanza. The maintenance people do good but they’re still behind on a cleaning staff but they’re trying their best to help us so if anybody would like to. My brother lived in three different Assisted Living facilities during the past four years–Olive Grove was the last, and by far the best. He needed a high level of assistance, and the care and compassion shown by the staff at Olive Grove were a great comfort to me and the rest of his family. He was treated with far more respect and empathy at Olive Grove than he was at the other places. Jeanette and Betty were particularly helpful in making sure his needs were met and his values respected. The individual caregivers treated him like he was family. I will be forever grateful to them. While the physical facilities aren’t the fanciest, the level of care was head and shoulders better than the others. I highly recommend Olive Grove as a loving home for people in need of assistance.

My sister was here for several years, maybe ? I have mixed feelings.. they don’t answer the phones they don’t return calls you can’t talk to anybody when you go over there it’s next to impossible to get anything done they are very unprofessional the cleaning lady was verbally abusive to my sister. My sister had a bariatrics wheelchair ,then she qualified for an electric chair. She needed her wheelchair to transfer easier in her room because She kept falling and to take her out with family.
I planned a surprise birthday family gathering for her on a weekend I went to go pick her up and they had given her wheelchair to another client that they said needed it she could not go to her own birthday party. So I had them order her a new wheelchair a bariatric wheelchair. When I went to ask for her brand new wheelchair they had given her new wheelchair to another client also and have not replaced it they said they were going to look for one in a closet a used old one to give her she had a brand new one and it was given to another client she has to wait 3 years to get a new wheelchair and nobody has called me back for this. I think The Weeknd stop and the night staff do whatever they want

I have a loved one in the memory care facility at Olive Grove and I’m very happy with this facility. The care givers are excellent. They treat the residents with respect and dignity. They are warmhearted and humorous as well as compassionate and understanding towards these people with Alzheimer’s/dementia. I find the staff to be attentive and aware, handling things that arise. The food is good quality. Although I’d prefer healthier snacks. They are renovating each apartment. The completed apts are very pretty and bright. I was told by friends who have all dealt with placing a loved one into care, to not look so much at the facility itself, but to look to the people who work there. Any place can look modern and fancy. However, modern and fancy isn’t what and who is taking care of your loved one. Olive Grove is evolving and improving aesthetically. And the care given to the residents is top notch in my book! It’s worth a look see on your search for the best place for your family member.

I went to visit my aunt here and when you walk in you think it’s a pretty nice facility then you walk out of the lobby and start to notice the floors and the walls need a good scrubbing. I went upstairs to my aunt’s room and when I got off the elevator I was slapped in the face with the smell of urine (even with a mask on). The carpet is filthy and has some major stains that are unrecognizable. I went into my aunt’s room and they hadn’t cleaned it for 4weeks. Her bed sheets hadn’t been changed and she had an accident at some point. I changed the sheets and requested the room to be cleaned and I was told it would be done today. The staff seemed nice and they were helpful, if they cleaned up the place it wouldn’t be bad. It’s just so dirty!

zero stars……The worst management ever, Jessica the director will bully and intimidate plus threaten residents, if youcare about your love ones this is not a good place. The property and rooms are nice, but they don’t staff enough care givers for the amount of residents. You have to wait an hour or so to get help, by that time it may be too late! When I left they had no real nurse on property but have unreliable med-techs pass out your love ones meds, if I’m not mistaking that’s against alf policies. I’ve already reported to licensing board. Please save your time and money and stay far away from this circus.

DO NOT USE Union Hills Bridgewater, DECEASED FAMILY MEMBER. This is NOT a good facility for residents requiring higher level of care. Do not bring a loved one here unless they are able to care for themselves. If they can, it’s a fine place. This facility has had multiple issues and Fire Station 50 is often there. Some entities are/will be investigating this facility due to recent issues. Most staff is friendly but I don’t know if many are underpaid and don’t care, but Bridgewater is not able to provide higher level of care. Too bad we trusted them with a family member who is difficult to deal with due to memory and brain issues. 1 star is given because they should NOT say they can deal with most levels of care when their staff is not prepared or trained to deal with all resident types. UPDATE – Our family member declined their meds to the point of confusion and ongoing issues. Staff failed to notify family. Due to medications not taken for 5 to 7 days, they ended up in the hospital and died 2 weeks later. DO NOT USE THIS CENTER.
