As a single mother, raised by a single mother, all I want for my child, is ‘better’ than what I had. Better childhood experiences, better education, better opportunities, and most of all, a better life success story. That’s why from a young age, I tried to cultivate a love for music within my child. "Music is what tells us that the human race is greater than we realize." Napoleon Bonaparte My mother could not afford instruments or lessons when I was growing up, but I always wished we could. As I grew older I started to learn about all the benefits that learning an instrument can provide children. I always knew that no matter what, that was something I wanted to give my future children. I struggled for a few years to afford private piano lessons for my daughter! When I found Sounds Academy, I knew my prayers had been answered! Sounds Academy has been the best thing to happen to our family in a long time! They’ve become our family! Sounds has helped ease our financial burden through scholarships and also helped cultivate a love for learning to play music that is amazing! We are very thankful to them for the gift music!! There are no other programs quite like this one! THANKS SOUNDS ACADEMY!

Our 10-year-old child suffers from ADD and has a terrible time focusing on tasks and sticking to a schedule. Ever since we introduced him to Flute Lessons with SOUNDS Academy, it is like seeing a different person. Our child loves his teacher and gets excited for lessons. He practices his flute on his own time at home and feels empowered and confident in noticeable ways. Registration was incredibly easy. The management team was personable and had a quick response time for any questions we had. The teacher is amazing. All in all, I highly recommend music lessons with SOUNDS Academy for any child, at any ability, at any age. It will truly help support the individual to reach their full potential. My children have been attending Sounds Academy since 2019 and even though it is relatively a new program, we have nothing but good things to say about our experience with Sounds Academy. Teachers genuinely enjoy and love teaching music to their students. The program's CEO and founder, Kirk Johnson, and the program manager are easy to contact and have a very friendly and professional personalities. Besides learning to play an instrument, thanks to the program's character counts, my children have grown in the areas of perseverance, resilience, creativity, teamwork, and leadership. This is a fantastic organization! Both of my children have been taking lessons from them for 8 years now. My daughter has been playing the violin and my son took violin lessons and now takes bass guitar lessons. The founder, Kirk Johnson, has a passion for music and a vision of helping kids get access to opportunities through music. Sounds Academy is affordable and has some fantastic teachers who share their passion of music with these kids. My children have had some amazing experiences thanks to Sounds Academy!
