We have been at Music Makers for four years. My son started at 11 years old… And is now 15. We absolutely love both of our teachers… Mr. Allen for guitar and Mr. Mikey for piano. Mikey is so passionate and fun and he is incredibly talented on the piano and keyboard! Allen is GENIOUS and really pushes my son. I’m extremely happy with the progress over the last four years. Allen M is my son’s guitar teacher. Gavin has learned so much from him and he continues to challenge him not only in music, but in etiquette and has helped shape him into a confident performer. Allen has laid the groundwork for the amazing musician my son has become and this foundation is priceless and we are so thankful for his teachings. Both of my daughters have been taking music lessons at Music Makers for some time now, and the experience has been outstanding. They’ve worked with Mr. Allen, Mr. Devin, Dr. Stephanie, Ms. Claire, and Dr. Kuo — each of whom brings incredible talent, patience, and passion to their teaching.

My daughters have taken lessons in a wide variety of instruments and styles, including rock band, violin, voice, guitar, and piano. The instruction has been not only technically strong but also encouraging and fun, which has kept them both motivated and excited about learning music.

The rock band program has especially helped them grow in confidence and collaboration, while the individual lessons have built a strong foundation in skill and musicality. We are truly grateful for the care and dedication of the entire Music Makers team — it’s been a wonderful place for our kids to grow as musicians.

I’ve had such a wonderful experience at Music Makers . The studio is welcoming, well-equipped, and perfect for learning and growing musically. What truly makes it special, though, is my daughter’s instructor Miss Esther! She is not only incredibly talented and knowledgeable but also patient, encouraging, and genuinely passionate about helping students succeed.

Each lesson is well-structured, fun, and tailored to my daughters goals and skill level. Shes made more progress here than I ever expected, along with with Arizona Study Program, and she actually looks forward to each session! Whether you’re a beginner or looking to take your skills to the next level, this is the place to be.

My kids (now 11 and 14 years old) have been taking music lessons at Music Makers for over 5 years. We have had such a positive experience and would highly recommend this wonderful studio to anyone and everyone! My daughter has taken both guitar and saxophone lessons, and has also participated in rock band. She is currently taking voice lessons with Ms. Kali, who is absolutely amazing. Ms. Kali goes above and beyond, and has helped my daughter improve immensely. My son has stuck with piano lessons throughout his musical journey and loves his awesome teacher, Ms. Cindy. She makes lessons fun, and she is always enthusiastic and encouraging. Having so many musical options and instructors at one place has been great for our family. And all of the instructors have been exceptional! Thank you Music Makers!!

I’d like to give my perspective as a teacher here for the last 7 years: The leadership here at DRMA is wonderful. Charge and Dave, co-owners, really stick true to how they believe owners should act. They are always fair and care about their mission to help anyone learn the music they want to learn. Charge has an open door to be able to talk about everything from tax advice for his employees to the best method books on guitar/drums for students. Dave is often seen fixing a door handle, helping a student with a complicated question, and then stopping by a teacher’s room because he remembered the name of that book recommendation he wanted to give you, all within 10 minutes. They are both willing to come into a lesson to help co-teach a student who, say, may be afraid to step on stage, and will talk about their own experiences openly and with compassion. Susan at the front desk will always be there to help, and if she thinks you’re having a rough day, will stop what she’s doing to make sure you feel heard. The entire team works together to go above and beyond to make sure everyone has what they need to succeed.

Everyone – parents, teachers, and students – are always welcomed in with a smile, a joke, or asking how that swim meet this weekend went. You won’t find a more welcoming environment than this. I’m honored to be a part of their team.

We have been part of this academy for over three years, and I have nothing but respect for the staff, teachers, and the entire community. My son is learning piano, and my daughter is learning violin. While my son has had some amazing teachers in the past, his current teacher, Ms. Carrie Lynn, is incredible, to say the least.

She is incredibly caring and goes above and beyond to bring out the best in my son. During a casual conversation about piano opportunities, she took the initiative to introduce me and my son to the director of Young Sounds the very next day. She encouraged my son and me to visit the studio to experience the program firsthand, and he absolutely loved it.

Now, he is practicing diligently to prepare for the upcoming auditions in May. If Ms. Lynn doesn’t have a student after his class, she generously spends an extra 10–15 minutes helping him prepare. We all love her, and we couldn’t have asked for a better piano teacher for our son!

Wanted to share my appreciation for this music school. Our trial session wasn’t “great” but I have no complaints. The young man that we got just wasn’t the right fit. We were then directed to Carrie Lynn. We’ve been with her ever since. She’s super patient, fun, and can be strict when needed… which I don’t mind at all. Sometimes my son needs to be corrected. She gives us full reports when the session is done and provides her email reports via email with fun links for review. I think what I like most is she finds ways to relate to my son which keeps is attention.

I have known Carrie Lynn for three years as her student at Desert Ridge Music Academy and have nothing but positive experiences with her. Carrie Lynn is an excellent teacher who cares about her students. She takes time to get to know me, and she works on specific skills with me. I have grown tremendously as a musician with Carrie Lynn’s help and know she will be an amazing music teacher for any student.

Both my kids come here for over 2 years, great management and staff, teachers are great and have great connection with the kids.

About a year ago i was looking into getting my kindergartener into music lessons. He showed a lot of interest in singing, so after asking friends and family for recommendations, we found Desert Ridge Music Academy. Susan was super helpful in getting us familiar with how the school worked and found us a good time slot for voice lessons with Miss Carrie Lynn. My son is often anxious and timid and she put him quickly at ease. I could see confidence building in him as lessons went on, and during one session i watched him perform a song he had worked hard on. Miss Carrie Lynn encouraged him to sing loud and he enthusiastically said, “i want people to hear me sing!” Not only was his confidence boosted, but i could hear the improvement in his singing. We’re now taking piano lessons with Miss Carrie Lynn and she keeps him engaged and motivated with fun lesson plans. She’s clearly skilled in what she teaches, but also has a good sense of his strengths and areas he could use work on. She checks in after every lesson to review what they had gone over and how the work is building towards when things get more challenging. I get an email from her outlining the same information through the school portal, and i’m also able to follow up and ask questions. I’m very happy with the progress my son’s made with DRMA and Miss Carrie Lynn and highly recommend them!

Such a disappointing experience. Signed my 5 yr old daughter up for a trial singing lesson with Carrie Lynn “the collegiate teacher” Van Winkle. When we arrived, we were greeted by a very pleasant woman and given a nice tour but then, unfortunately, the “lesson” was about to start. It began by overhearing Carrie Lynn’s brash interaction with the people before us telling the young girl, maybe 10 or younger, and her mom how much work she needs to do. We then introduce ourselves and she seems annoyed by us and our young daughter. My daughter goes in the room alone for about 15 min until we are asked to join. Carrie Lynn then tells us how she normally teaches at the collegiate level, is such a “music theory nerd” and then starts to criticize my daughter’s pitch, the words would be wrong, etc. She then criticized her inability to read and said that singing lessons wouldn’t be fun because it would basically be reading lessons at this point. I could slowly see the smile and the light on my daughter’s face fade. The drive home was as fun as you could imagine for a 5 year old who just had her dreams crushed. So here’s to you Carrie Lynn, the Simon Cowell of Desert Ridge, may you have a long, illustrious career destroying hopes and dreams of young children exploring an interest in music.

My mother could not afford instruments or lessons when I was growing up, but I always wished we could. As I grew older I started to learn about all the benefits that learning an instrument can provide children. I always knew that no matter what, that was something I wanted to give my future children.
I struggled for a few years to afford private piano lessons for my daughter! When I found Sounds Academy, I knew my prayers had been answered! Sounds Academy has been the best thing to happen to our family in a long time! They’ve become our family! Sounds has helped ease our financial burden through scholarships and also helped cultivate a love for learning to play music that is amazing! We are very thankful to them for the gift music!! Our 10-year-old child suffers from ADD and has a terrible time focusing on tasks and sticking to a schedule. Ever since we introduced him to Flute Lessons with SOUNDS Academy, it is like seeing a different person. Our child loves his teacher and gets excited for lessons. He practices his flute on his own time at home and feels empowered and confident in noticeable ways. Registration was incredibly easy. The management team was personable and had a quick response time for any questions we had. The teacher is amazing. All in all, I highly recommend music lessons with SOUNDS Academy for any child, at any ability, at any age. It will truly help support the individual to reach their full potential. My children have been attending Sounds Academy since 2019 and even though it is relatively a new program, we have nothing but good things to say about our experience with Sounds Academy. Teachers genuinely enjoy and love teaching music to their students. This is a fantastic organization! Both of my children have been taking lessons from them for 8 years now. My daughter has been playing the violin and my son took violin lessons and now takes bass guitar lessons. The founder, Kirk Johnson, has a passion for music and a vision of helping kids get access to opportunities through music. Sounds Academy is affordable and has some fantastic teachers who share their passion of music with these kids. My children have had some amazing experiences thanks to Sounds Academy!

Always great and such a friendly environment my daughter loves learning music and the teachers are excellent. Kirk is an amazing man he is the CEO who started this program. If you’re looking for a music program for your child please give them a try.

I just love Rosie’s House. A place where kids can be creative and learn while playing a musical instrument, recording or singing in choir. A great atmosphere.

AMAZING!!! Everyone and everything in here it’s amaizing

I never really got what this place was. It had churches, schools, instrument classes, and probably a lot more stuff in this one block. Been here for years because a lot of people wanted me to play an instrument. Supposedly it was free to learn an instrument here. Lessons didn’t feel like they taught, it felt like chores. 3 years I was there and I still barely can play my instrument. Recitals were decent. Flexibility of time wasn’t good. Still terrible that you had to buy your own book for the class they assigned you to. The book money doesn’t go to them. And they graded you. What’s the reason to actually grade. It was unnecessary. I didn’t go there to go to school.

A few years ago, my Grandson expressed interest in playing the piano. A friend of ours recommended Dodge music Studios. I’m so grateful they did. My Grandson has been taking weekly lessons for 2 years now. Mr. Dodge has definitely empowered him. He makes all of his Students feel special. He has a way with teaching that makes learning fun! Miciah Dodge is a fantastic piano teacher! I highly recommend him. He keeps my son engaged and excited for his piano lessons. He does a great job keeping the lessons lively and upbeat. He teaches in a way where he gives the student the lessons needed but also keeps it open to what the student wants to learn as well. He’s consistent with his lessons and works around your schedule if needed. My 13 year old son is always happy to go to his piano lessons every week. We’re so happy we found him!

Miciah is a phenomenal teacher. My daughter has learned so much from him in the last 2 years she was taking lessons. She had a great time and enjoyed the recitals. My daughter has been taking piano lessons at Dodge Music Studios since she was 4, she is currently 9 years old. Dodge is a knowledgeable, energetic and fun teacher who imparts good techniques and at the same time instills a lifelong appreciation of music. He is extremely professional and responsive yet warm in his communication style. I would certainly recommend him to any one who has always wanted to learn piano.

I started off with Miciah as my piano teacher 11 years ago and he was super willing to shift gears to vocals lessons 5 years ago, so he’s incredibly flexible and well equipped to take on students of all ages and talents! He’s always let me take the lead on what I want to work on which is possible with the experience he has in a wide variety of music genres and vocal styles, and he’s been especially helpful with any musical theater song I’ve wanted to learn. He’s always been very patient with me when I’ve had trouble on the piano or with my voice, and we’ve always found a solution in pretty short order. If you’re a nerd of any kind, you’ll get along great!

Miciah’s musical abilities coupled with an easy going temperament make him an amazing music teacher. He has been teaching my daughter for a nearly a year and has done a great job in that time. My daughter loves her music lessons and is making progress every week. The recitals are super neat to attend too. He makes learning music fun and enjoyable.

The place is worth every cent! My son has been taking classes for a little over a year and he has gotten the chance to play 2 recitals, he gets to learn at his own pace, he has been recognized as the student of the month in the newsletter and all his recitals are available on YouTube! We absolutely LOVE the piano instructor, Mrs. Sandy, who makes this experience completely worth it! The few times she was unable to make a class, the place provided a substitute in which our son was able to still keep the same routine and there are makeup classes available if there is anytime we aren’t able to make it. 100/100 ratings, I completely recommend this place!

We love Prestige Music Academy. They are easy to work with and Lindsey is a wonderful teacher! My son has learned so much from her in just a year and we are so glad that we decided to come here for piano lessons.

We did Music Fun Time for our 4 years old, and he loved it. Teacher created positive experiences with music, which helps lay foundations for the love of music. I would recommend this class to anyone that wants their kid to start music, but the kid is too young to do real instruments like piano or violin, this is such as great start!!

My son loves learning the piano with Maggie! He is fully invested for the first time in learning and reminds me when it’s time for him to leave for lessons. Maggie is an excellent teacher.

Music Together is the #1 favorite activity in my house.
The program is extremely well put together. The class format, songs, music song book and app make it very engaging, educational, and worth every cent. I started taking my daughter at just 8 weeks old, and couldn’t be happier that we stumbled into a MT class. She plays her ukulele and puts on her own music classes for the family now. We took a brief hiatus this past summer after my son was born, and it was like a huge part of our week was missing.
Very thankful for all the teachers here in Phoenix and Kathy for starting a program here!

We have had our son in class since he was 6 months? Now he is 19 months and LOVES IT, teacher Sarah is great! Not only does he love singing and dancing he has started to really socialize and shine in class!

Music Together is so much fun! Love that the classes accommodate mixed ages and it’s great having access to the music outside of class. The songs and activities are fun and beneficial and the teachers are wonderful!

I can’t say enough good things about the babies music class and teacher Megan. This class has been the highlight of our week. It is fun, educational, and so impactful. The influence music has had on my baby has been incredible. We love each session’s emphasis on an instrument and each of the songs. It’s also great to see the babies play with different musical toys and instruments and see them grow and learn to play each week. Highly recommend Music Together!

We love our time at music together. It’s such a warm welcoming classroom. Teacher Kathy is so amazing. My 2 year old is the happiest at class & loves grooving to the songs in the car. I highly recommend great bonding time with family.

My family loves Music Together in Phoenix! I have attended with all my children, my oldest is almost 9 and my youngest is almost 1. Teacher Megan is fantastic, I can’t say enough good things about her! I truly love and appreciate how music, rhythm, and children’s musical development is the forefront of this program.

A lot of kids activities are hard to enjoy with a baby under the age of one, but Music Together has been awesome for my 7 month old baby! She absolutely loves when we sing to her or listen to music at home and lights up during Music Together class hearing all the fun songs and instruments. It is especially fun once they can sit up on their own for longer stretches of time. I highly recommend for anyone with a baby who shows an interest in music.

Mr Arik and the team at Phoenix Music Lessons have been a beautiful community to be a part of. My daughter’s piano teacher is fun, bubbly, enthusiastic, and extremely patient and encouraging with my daughter in her beginning stages of learning. Booking a session and even canceling or rescheduling has been so easy. They know us by name, and that means a lot. The other teachers and parents are friendly too. We chat while our kids to lessons, or just read quietly in the waiting room. The price is excellent compared to other places and I will gladly continue long-term piano lessons at this rate. I think this place is such a gem. I’m happy it’s close to our house and priced so well.

My son started to take piano classes several months ago with Anna Nyhart and we can’t be happier. She is very patient, sweet, easy going and a great instructor. Anna is pulling out the best of my child.She encourages him to do his best and praises him. She even has a reward program. We are very lucky to have her. She is fantastic and her voice is heavenly.

It is difficult to find a piano teacher who is experienced with teaching students at a young age. I feel lucky to have found Phoenix Music Lessons for my daughter, who is 4. She is truly enthusiastic for her lessons. Sarah is very patient and knowledgable. She is an excellent teacher. Aric has substituted and is also a great teacher. I switched to home lessons for schedule and convenience sake. I am grateful that it was an easy transition. I have recommend their services to other parents in my daughter’s class.

My son loves going to his voice lessons! He has learned SO much and I love how the instructor listens to him and helps him progress with his vocal range. The company is run very professionally and they are always accommodating with our schedule if we need to change our lesson. I have recommended them to many others and will continue!

Our daughter thoroughly enjoys her voice lessons with Anna and has grown so much in how she applies the techniques and skills she has learned. Anna is incredibly patient and detailed in her instruction providing instant student feedback, assessment and correction. We also appreciate Anna’s genuine interest in bringing out each of her student’s potential. She truly has a gift and natural talent, and we are blessed she is sharing it with her students. We are grateful to have found Anna, and we look forward to watching our daughter grow under Anna’s wing.

Before enrolling our two grade school boys for music lessons, we had searched for a music studio that had great instructors, convenient lesson times and was centrally located. We are so happy with Phoenix Music Lessons! Aric and Kurt are wonderful instructors (drums and guitar) who make music fun while also covering the basics of learning to play an instrument and reading music. I highly recommend this studio!

I have three children who take piano with Sarah and Aric. It’s only been a couple of months and they are much further along than I ever expected. The location is convenient and you can observe your child’s lesson, which I appreciate. We are very happy and expect to continue lessons for a long time.

I highly recommend PCM! When I first brought my son here, he had only played violin in his school orchestra, but after starting private lessons with Meghan, his progress was amazing. She is not only a wonderful violinist and teacher, but also a great person and mentor who truly inspired him.

Thanks to PCM’s excellent College Prep Program, my son’s skills grew tremendously. Beyond private lessons, they offer enrichment classes such as Music Production, Music Theory, Voice, Improvisation, Songwriting, and opportunities to perform with PCM student bands of many genres. The environment is always creative, supportive, and welcoming for kids and teens. They also provide partial and full scholarships for families in need.

I am very grateful to Meghan, Diego, and everyone at PCM for their passion and commitment. They helped my son not only become a stronger violinist, but also deepen his love for music and grow as a young man.

This is a wonderful organization! I found this place on a whim while looking for music classes to take my 3 year old to. PCM offers free classes and free summer camps for my daughter’s age. The free class we attended allowed parents to participate and focused on jazz music (We-Bop) — I actually learned a lot myself! The instructors are all very passionate about music and it shows. Absolutely check this place out if you want to start exposing your kiddos to music at an early age!

My son had enrolled a after school music program. It was awesome! Every time when I go pick him up I see his big smile that really makes me happy too! All the teachers are very patient and all student feels welcomed. 10 out of 10!!

As a student, I can say that PCM really taught me to value music. I highly recommend this school if you want to learn piano, drums, bass, electric guitar, this is the place for you! You can also sing or play in groups. You can play your favorite song! 😀
