I’d been struggling for awhile. Many rehabs in the past. This was the best experience in recovery I’ve ever had. The process group led by Jade helped me grow and gain insight into this disease. Her passion and commitment to us was sincere and from the heart. She gave me hope. The entire staff and the nurses were encouraging and motivating. Calvary has the formula for success if you follow it. O ya, the food was awesome.

Calvary Healing Center played a vital role in my recovery from drug addiction. The staff was compassionate, professional, and truly committed to helping me heal. Their comprehensive approach—combining therapy, education, and spiritual support—helped me address the root causes of my addiction. Thanks to their care and ongoing support, I’ve been able to rebuild my life with clarity and purpose. I’m now living a healthy, productive life, and I highly recommend Calvary to anyone seeking lasting recovery.

This place is a joke. I drove from Tucson after speaking to them no less than 10 times before coming. I waited 2 hours in the waiting room, finally went back for my assessment. A half hour later, they told me they wouldn’t take me due to a past behavioral health diagnosis. I begged them, and they sent me away. Even was vomiting in their lobby and was going through DT’s. So I ended up driving home back to Tucson — vomiting the whole way home. You’d think a behavioral health rehab would be able to handle MENTAL HEALTH. called every single place in Tucson, and no one will take my insurance. I’m now on my way to the ER, because Calvary was my last chance.

Calvary saved my life! My family and I are so grateful for the program. August 26th will be my 18 month anniversary and I am forever grateful to Calvary Healing Center! There was a time I was so hopeless I couldn’t have imagined this life of sobriety and my connection with my higher power! Calvary gave me the space and education to grow I my recovery and I can never repay them for what I have today except to continue this journey and guide other women in their journey! God is good!

This facility, like many treatment centers in Arizona, operates primarily within a for-profit model—something prospective clients should be aware of from the start. If your condition isn’t considered "severe enough" or if insurance coverage appears uncertain, there’s a chance you may be turned away. Unfortunately, this has become a common trend in the industry. Compared to higher-end centers like Cottonwood or Sierra Tucson, which often resemble wellness retreats, this facility takes a more structured and stern approach. While that may appeal to some, it may feel rigid or impersonal to others. Staff members appear committed but may not always have the training, cohesion, or resources needed to provide truly individualized care. Some of the group sessions are informative, and there is valuable content to be gained. However, the overall experience can feel transactional. Once insurance coverage ends, unless you actively seek and secure a scholarship or financial assistance, the transition out of the program can be abrupt—and for many, destabilizing. That post-treatment drop-off is a vulnerable time, and without the right support, it can lead to relapse. Recovery is deeply personal, and it’s important to explore what works best for you. While 12-step models are widely used, they aren’t the only path to healing. Be cautious of assuming that any one center has all the answers. Treatment can be a useful starting point, but true recovery comes from your ongoing commitment, support system, and self-discovery beyond the walls of any facility. In short: approach with awareness, advocate for yourself, and remember—your recovery is your own. Choose a path that truly supports your long-term growth and not just what insurance will pay for.

I had a great experience at Calvary. It was my second time going through the detox there and I was comfortable the whole time. The staff and nurses are kind and compassionate and they referred me to a good program after my detox.
