I love the High street Primp & Blow in Scottsdale. Sargon, Carla & Melissa do an amazing job, are punctual and really take the time and care to ensure that you leave as a beautiful and happy customer. Reception staff are friendly and accommodating. They always offer refreshments to make sure you are comfortable while you wait for your appointment. I highly recommend this salon!

Jade is such a good stylist. It could be weeks from when she last did my hair and it’s perfect and efficient. I’ve been with promo and blow High street for at least seven years as a member. Love it.

We loved coming here to do my daughter’s hair for her headshots at her dance studio. They did amazing and were super quick! Her hair looked so beautiful

Pros:
The location was in a really nice area, and the salon looked nice and stylist was very friendly. Service was pretty affordable ($30) for dry styling and easy to book online.
Cons:
(1) The stylist used such high heat on the curling rod that my hair which was really healthy before the service had a ton of split ends and dryness. I had to do deep conditioning treatments and get a length taken off because it was so fried after the service.
(2) Chemical Smell: The stylist also sprayed a lot of hair products in my hair which after washing once left a weird chemically burnt smell in my hair and took 3 double washes with clarifying shampoos to wash out the smell. The hair products seemed to weigh down my hair making it look a little oily and did not even hold up the curls.
(3) Poor Hair Curls: I chose a photo in their book of really curly hair, but that is not what the stylist gave me and the curls she did give me starting falling within 1 hour of the service leaving my hair looking only slightly wavy (like having a braid in overnight). Photo taken less than 1 hour after the hair appointment. The shorter front pieces were really the only parts of my hair that held much curl. It was still pretty but definitely not curly. I’ll add that my hair was freshly washed before the service.

Love my membership with Primp & Blow. Jacey at High Street is my go-to! She does the most sexy blow outs! I also appreciate that I can book online and find a time that works any day of the week. My hair always looks great thanks to Primp!

MUCH better job done here than at a very expensive salon in Scottsdale where we paid a lot more for large thick choppy streaks that they didn’t even blend

Had the most wonderful experience at Paul Mitchell School of Beauty on Bethany Home Road in Phoenix, AZ. My stylist in training Dakota did a fabulous job, and I would highly recommend her to anyone need their hair done. I am definitely going back to get my hair done again.

I had a great experience… my student stylist Keelan was very respectful n extremely professional n polite! He was very pleasant ! The Teacher on the floor Curtis, was so helpful in explaining the task on hand to my student stylist. I also seen Curtis helping the other students… i was very impressed with his knowledge n patience in explaining n showing the students! Great experience n I will definitely be returning!

My son Lucien wanted a haircut & style with a fashion color for his birthday. I took him to the Paul Mitchell School Phoenix the Valley’s premiere school for beauty education and cosmetology. They also offer salon services where their students learn and instructors teach the necessary skills to work in a salon setting. Now, a cut style and fashion color takes a little while the whole process was about 4.5 hours, but the student stylist was very careful and thorough she gave Lucien a wonderful cut and color. The staff was very friendly we paid $150, but when calling around various salons, I was getting quotes of $250 and up, so they really are a good value. The students are closely supervised by the instructors, and I would say they are every bit as good most Valley salons.

Kalaaya did an incredible job with the shampoo and deep conditioning treatment—my hair felt so hydrated! And the scalp massage? Pure heaven!!! Highly recommend her if you’re looking to treat yourself and your hair!”

The “student” I had (Hailey) was amazing! I have very thin and fine hair. She suggested a cut and style that worked perfectly with my face and age. If she had a question about anything her “instructor” Mariah was there to answer, and suggest. This is a super clean and friendly (I’m talking to YOU, Tiffany!) place. I will definitely come here for any future hair cuts, and/or color. My husband wants to start coming along.

Great experience at Mima’s I was able to get a basic pedicure and a dip powder manicure with a design on it for $50
Amelia did an amazing job with the design after I showed her a picture of what I wanted done. We selected colors together and discussed the design order
Overall a great experience if I was a local I would get my nails done regularly

Came in to get my daughter first hair cut and she and I loved it so much got another appointment set for her already

Had a wonderful experience taking a young adult in to get an $8 haircut. The work and outreach Mima’s does with nonprofits in the area is amazing. I was able to talk with one of the owners, Izzy; he was so kind and full of helpful information. I will definitely be back! The haircut was perfect and the atmosphere was very pleasant. 10/10 recommend!

Have been a few times now for my acrylic nails. Great experience each time. Im used to getting services at beauty schools so understand that things take longer, this expectation is clearly set with the times listed in the website while booking, which is super helpful.
Look forward to continuing to get services done here.

The Mima’s team is AMAZING They have been kind enough to donate their time EVERY month at our nonprofit food pantry to provide free haircuts for low income individuals and families. I have nothing bad to say about this place. Maggie was absolutely a pleasure to meet with; Her personality made the process enjoyable. It was good vibes and a very welcoming environment. The women are professional and pleasant to speak with. I was the model for a loc retwist and it went amazing! I also got my nails done by CeCe. Definitely give them a call and ask them questions! They work miracles in my opinion.

Oh my goodness!! The team at Mimas was GREAT! We met them at a Thrive back2school event that supports foster & group home families (they were giving free haircuts and facials to the kids). We set a “mom & girls” hair day together and were BLOWN away at the results! The students did an amazing job! They were not afraid to ask questions and the professor was so kind and patient with them as they were learning and perfecting their techniques. We will definitely come back and Im telling all my friends to take the risk on these ladies because they will not disappoint! **I was happy to hear they give kids as young as 16 the opportunity to come learn and start their beauty school journey!

This location is in the beautiful Biltmore Fashion Park and got me in the holiday spirit with the beautiful decorations they do every year. The store manager Amy is wonderful and inspired me to buy Blankety lipstick (which looked terrific on her!), Whirl lip pencil and Please Me Lip Glass which I LOVE.

She then surprised me with the awesome free gift which complemented my purchase! I was in need of a new makeup bag and this fits perfectly in my purse with all my new goodies!

Amy helped me pick a palette and some key items for my wedding makeup. She taught me how to apply, shade and blend. I felt beautiful and confident all day and most importantly, my look lasted.

My daughter is starting a new career and travels frequently. I wanted to get her started with a new skincare routine and have her professionally matched so she could know which colors and products to use to achieve her look. We cane into Mac at the Biltmore and had the pleasure of being helped by Amy. She is the epitome of professional and thanks to her time, patience, positive energy and honed skillset, my daughter learned new application techniques, and got a full compliment of skincare and makeup.

I have been coming here for years. They always provide excellent customer service and they are always helpful with making sure I find the right color and product that will work best for me. Also they get you in and out of there in less than 10 minutes.

I had the pleasure of having my makeup done in store by Chanel. I came in with the hopes of at least getting a good color match and feeling pampered. I came out of the appointment with so much more! Chanel listened to my needs and asked all of the right questions. I’m in a stage where I’m not interested in full glam or a multi step application process and Chanel gave me exactly what I wanted. I am supper picky when it comes to my hair and make up, and one thing that did not disappoint was Bella bridal beauty! Renee and her team are amazing ! They made my special everything I could ask for ! Something that was super important to me was that my hair and make up held up all night through dancing and eating! (and my hair has a very difficult time holding a curl). With Renee’s expertise and magic it not only held up but at the end of the night I didn’t want to make my makeup off or brush through my curls they looked so good !

I used Bella Bridal for my hair and makeup for me and my bridesmaids and mom for my wedding and luckily got paired with Gabiee and Renee. They did an excellent job! The trial was great and made me feel comfortable and confident that they would do a great job on wedding day. They arrived on time and kept the vibes going in the bridal suite. I was very happy with how my hair and makeup came out and felt beautiful all day!

Horrible service my daughter’s appointment was at 11 am for hair & makeup it was her sweet 16 day , we arrived at about 10:55 am , no one is there studio is locked no one in the parking lot so I gave them a call I even texted them but no answer finally after me texting and calling both numbers provided on the contract I get a reply stating we are on the way around 11:10 another 20 minutes go by I text and call them again they never answered neither of them so we continued to wait an Hour & 10 minutes go by and they finally arrived very late and to top it off they arrive with Starbucks in hand smh , at this point I’m pissed off they didn’t even use actual hair extensions for her her all they did was put it in a bun and threw on a hair piece over it the makeup was so patchy my daughter got home very disappointed and upset she redid her own makeup and lashes these guys are supposed to be professionals it definitely wasn’t cheap when I spoke to one of them he was giving me attitude I cannot believe the way they handled her special day I will definitely not recommend them I wonder if they do this to everyone.

Azure is truly incredible! She’s kind, cool, and so talented at what she does. She’s done my makeup on several occasions – including my wedding – and always makes me feel absolutely beautiful. I flew Azure out to New York for my wedding weekend and it was one of the best decisions I made! Azure is sweet and funny – and was a calming presence the entire weekend! She made my entire bridal party look stunning! And also dolled up the flower girl, my MIL, Step MIL, and mom! She handled everything with grace, and stepped up without ever overstepping! I can’t recommend Azure enough!!!

Azure is a makeup magician! I have been working with her for over a year and I’ve never been disappointed with the final result. She’s done my makeup for TV and photo shoots, and even meet me at 4 am to do my makeup for a media tour! I’ve also done a private lesson with her which is so helpful when I need to put myself together at the last minute for an opportunity. I highly recommend her!

I absolutely love Azure’s work! She listens to the needs of her clients and isn’t heavy handed with the color. She is super flexible with location and timing (as long as you book in advance) and has done my makeup at her own studio, at my hair stylist’s studio, and even in her own home! Recently I had her do my makeup for an event that was hours later. I was worried that I would mess it up and brought my products to do touch ups and she told me not to touch it, that she would come to me if I needed anything. Now that is customer service and caring for your clients!

Gigi was amazing, so kind, and patient with me. She is an artist and I had hardly any eyebrows from years of stupidity shaving them off.. Trust Gigi and the process! She is a true artist! I was a bit taken back when I initially got my brows microbladed because they were much darker and thicker than my regular brows, but as Gigi says “Trust the process” so I did. My brows shrank and lightened in a couple of weeks and I couldn’t be happier! They look so beautiful and natural! Gigi is such a professional and a really warm person, you instantly feel connected and comfortable in her presence! She is the best!

I had an amazing experience at Mussa Beauty Studio. Gigi and her assistant were just amazing to work with. I searched for a long time for someone that had artistic talent and found Gigi. I had thin, ugly eyebrows and drawing them on was tedious and in the heat, would melt. I just had my eyebrows done and absolutely love them. Gigi also did fibroblast which actually shows I have an eyelid. The little things that make a huge difference. She explained the healing process and was just a great person! I will never go to anyone else! I actually got compliments when shopping right after my procedures. I am so happy with my results and they will only get better months down the road. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the gorgeous work! ❤️

Gigi is THEE BEST! If you’re wanting to get your brows done or any service she offers, go to her! She is beyond talented and so loving and kind! Helped me feel so safe and loved! I got my brows done by her about 4 years ago and after that I’ve never felt more confident, more beautiful before, and I felt like a new woman! I went back for a retouch, and my mom and aunt, actually got their brows done the same day of my retouch. (And they are in love with there new brows as well) we started talking about how amazing her work is and how she got to where she is now, and all the hard work and self building. Which got me thinking “wow I really want to do this” so I asked a couple questions about microblading and she mentioned she teaches a class. And right then and there I told Gigi I was going to take that class! How could I not? I could help women and men with their brows! They’d feel more confident, beautiful/handsome, and they’d be leaving feeling so good about themselves just how I left when I had mine done. So a couple months of saving, I took the class and loved every second of it! Gigi was so patient with all my questions and concerns. She taught me everything I needed to know, and I walked out everyday having all my questions answered. I have her to thank for my work, and talent and knowledge she taught me! There was never bad vibes, just good vibes all the way around! I love Gigi! She has such a beautiful sweet soul! I recommend her work! If I could give more than 5 stars I would!

Highly recommend to come study your makeup carreer with Regina Valenzuela makeup academy! I came in thinking I was a semi pro but not at all! I had so much to learn very specific techniques for different skin and face types. Very well worth the investment. Not to mention the flexible hours. I already have prebookings and haven’t even graduated yet that’s how much people have seen my improvement in makeup
