Love this Library my kids love coming here we have been coming here for years last time I went to drop off our books to get new ones I checked out my account was restricted and I had a $35 charge the supervisor had to help me because there other guy was a new person which was actually very polite he was awesome but the lady the supervisor skinny with glasses was extremely rude her tone of voice is extremely rude and repeated herself over and over she would talk over me as I tried to politely explain myself I was raised to handle things politely in a calmly manner I was at no time rude to her you can even ask the new guy in the front desk she was so so rude even my 11 year old daughter has more manners then her and said mom why was she so rude she ended up taking the charge off my account the top little outer corner of the book had like dirt or something probably like the first 5-6 pages I explained how people grab the books all day how can they possibly know whatever was on that book was me she kept repeating I was the only one who has checked it out very loud loud enough for anyone up front to hear the conversation and I’m not even exaggerating when I’m telling you absolutely nothing was wrong with the book the dirt was on the little outer corner and they were trying to charge me $35 dollars it was so embarrassing the way she talked to me I’m a adult talk to me as who I am just because she’s white doesn’t mean she can talk down to us Mexicans she has a attitude problem and needs to work on her customer service skills I’m not sure who in there right mind made HER a supervisor but I’m extremely disappointed in my last experience and hope someone at least takes the time to sit down with her and have a talk to her about how she treated us I’ll be more then glad to drive down their and hear a apology it’s been a week and it’s something that stuck to me I wasn’t going to say anything but I couldn’t just leave it alone hope she gets some sort of talk I really do !!!!!

It pains me to write this, as I love the Yucca library and almost all of its staff, but one staff member in particular has made the library significantly less pleasant of late. There is a security guard there, an older African American gentleman, who is extremely unpleasant. (I only include his race that he may be identified should the library wish to address my concerns.) I frequently use the computers and wifi at Yucca, so I'm in there for extended periods, and thus I have observed his behavior across a significant span of time. He is always watching videos on his phone, and does not acknowledge me when I say hi. This is especially strange considering that the other guards I've encountered are the first to greet ME when I come in the door. Why else have someone stationed at the door in the first place? I've asked him questions about the library and library services on multiple occasions, which he has never known the answer too. He also never provided the basic customer service of helping me find someone who DID have the answer. Recently I was walking into the library and he was outside speaking loudly on his phone using fairly vulgar language while children were nearby, which was the last straw that convinced me to write this review. The one time I needed his help on a security related matter, he appeared annoyed that I was interrupting his video time and snapped at me when I wasn't explaining the situation fast enough for his liking. I've witnessed him snap at other women, while being respectful towards men, often enough to detect a familiar pattern that has no business in public service. I love supporting the library with my tax dollars, but I hate that some of them are going to this layabout. He needs serious retraining or Yucca needs a new guard that actually does his job, knows the library, and treats women with equity and decency.

I was pleasantly surprised. I haven't been inside since before Covid. It looks more updated and fresh. During my brief visit to access the FREE Digital scan service and prices "too good to be true" Fax service I have been missing out! The staff was exceptional and helpful. Good select of movies and books. As Schwarzenegger once said "I'll be back " Good Job Yucca Library

Come here quite frequently but the staff is quite awful. The library itself is peaceful and the heat relief program is great for those in need of cool air. I recently came in a few days ago with my therapy dog (with permission granted) and we weren't bothering anyone. He is well trained and doesn't bother people unless feeling scared or threatened. Well when a worker came by and (without permission) attempted to touch my dog, he barked. He was only startled and made no attempt to bite or lunge towards her. Security (an old white dude) came by and said he wasn't allowed inside anymore. Instead of owning up to actions of their employees they said my dog was no longer allowed inside and had to stay oit in the heat. They need new security and better trained librarian. Common decency is not to startle someone's dog, and to ask permission before trying to pet them. If the lady approached correctly nothing would've happened. My dog loves kids and all sorts of attention. Crappy security in general. This isn't the first negative experience with this security guard either. He often sits around or patrols outside, hardly ever walks around. Every once in a while I've noticed he tends to patrol the teen area a lot more when teens of color are in there. I've come to notice he doesn't do the same when white teens are in there. I'm not a parent of teens personally but I would hate to know my child was being watched more carefully because they were of color.

This library is truly outstanding! The staff is not only incredibly generous and kind but also exceptionally helpful. I've had the pleasure of interacting with five different female staff members, and every single one of them was exemplary. I only wish I had noted their names to give them the recognition they deserve. Their dedication and warmth make this library a wonderful place to visit. Highly recommend!

If you want to make a resume look for a job this is not the library for you. If you want to play games on these computers, and bang on your keyboard and annoy everyone around you, then this is the place for you!
