Super 8 by Wyndham Phoenix West

I booked through Wyndham rewards and didn't bother to read the reviews, my very big mistake! I got worried when I arrived and saw that the place looked very run down and 2 fire trucks with their lights blazing were in the parking lot. It looks seedy but since we were only staying 1 night we decided to go ahead and check in and make the best of it. It gets worse! The room was non-smoking but it smelled of smoke. The microwave's turntable was missing and paint was peeling off. The bed covers had cigarette holes all over them and dirty stains. My husband wanted to book a different hotel but in the end, since it was already 8:30 p.m., we decided we'd go to dinner and come back and just make the best of it for that one night. 2nd big mistake! When we returned at about 10:00 p.m. the place was literally swarming with prostitutes, druggies, pimps and cops. At that point we decided we'd pack up and find another place but when we were inside the room gathering our items there was gunshots outside. We hid in the bathroom until things seem calm but we were too scared to go back outside while all that activity was going on. We spent the most miserable night ever. Got almost no sleep. Cars would wander the parking lot playing loud music. FOR YOUR SAFETY--- PLEASE DO NOT STAY HERE. it's dangerous and it gets a big thumbs down on cleanliness!

I’d give this place zero stars if I could. It was the last hotel for my family on our vacation. This area is not safe for kids or really anyone. Obvious prostitutes walking around, unwell homeless people yelling, likely drug dealers out and about. We asked for a non smoking room and it reeked of cigarettes. The room was tiny, beds were smashed up against walls and creaked loudly. Warnings about no firearms allowed, that customers needed to have basic dress code, and a sign in the room saying we should deadbolt then door were additional red flags. In the end we did not feel safe or comfortable here so we left for a different hotel. AVOID AT ALL COST!

The man in the office was not friendly at all. The facility was terrible outside, just at a glance. My husband said the inside was no better. It was just plain dirty. The picture online is really deceiving... And they have no handicapped facilities period. He told my husband to go to the hotel next to them. I had paid for the room on booking. com. Now, I have to wait to be reimbursed. I now know when traveling to ask locals about certain areas. We have been staying at Super 8 or Days Inn while traveling and have not incurred this problem before.

false advertising on a lot of things. they say free breakfast, and all the offer is snack bar, orange juice and apple juice. they say free wifi, and it does not work the entire time. location is good, near a 24 hour taco place, which is good access to food, and off the highway. rooms are average. I would not come back, there are other options with better accomdations at similiar price.

It was booked for me, but it was the wrong night. I needed it last night. Also, all they had was a smoking room, which I could have paid more for, but I get nauseous from the odor. So I spent the night in my truck. Not much sleep. I don't know who's fault it was for the incorrect night--my friend, booking.com, or the motel, but I'm not too happy this morning. Looked like a real sketchy area, as well. For what they charge, I wouldn't have stayed there, anyway.

The rooms are beautiful and clean. The front desk is very polite and helpful. I look forward to coming again soon! I just wish there was a pool and jacuzzi !

There was a lot of prostitutes walking around wearing almost nothing. Not a place for children. And also lots of drugs and drug activity. The police were out in the parking lot stopping people. Scary as a woman by herself to walk around this area. No restaurants only cheap gas station.
