Tacos Calafia Downtown

I was in the mood for something low carb and decided to build my own keto burrito (burro) and I couldn’t have made a better choice. I paired it with a taco de cabeza, and both were packed with flavor. What I love about Tacos Calafia is how consistent they are. No matter when I stop by, the food is always fresh, delicious, and hits the spot. The ambience is relaxed and authentic, and it’s just an all around great location to enjoy solid tacos and burritos. Chicken burrito, chicken tacos...REALLY good. In town for work, otherwise I'd definitely go back. They have a salsa bar that also has cilantro and onion and lime to add exactly the extra flavors you want.

This Taqueria is all about atmosphere - Super chill and authentically Mexican. Taco dishes and quesadilla were delicious. Prices are low and portions are large.

Tacos Calafia is a solid spot with good tacos, but with so many great taco places around, I wouldn’t say it’s the best. The meats were well-cooked, but some lacked a bit of seasoning, which kept them from really standing out. That said, everything was fresh, and the flavors were still enjoyable. To be fair, I really like this place, and I’d definitely come back if I’m in the area. It’s a reliable choice for tacos, just not my top pick in a city with so many great options.

The food is really good. We went after a bar night, and the food was delish. It was a bit hot and stuffy inside, and there wasn't anything special about this place besides the food. Great spot for a quick bite or after hours.

Seriously, we stumbled upon a hidden gem! This place is absolutely adorable, and the food? Just incredible! The staff are so friendly, and everything comes out piping hot, fresh, and super fast. It's hands down the best Mexican food I've had in the area, and the prices are unbelievable! We ended up eating there every single day! I can't wait to go back

Everything about this place is 10/10. I visited twice in a week during my stay in Phoenix. I tried every taco, the pollo asado was my favorite, the cactus one was my least( it was good, but more of a texture I didn’t enjoy) This place has everything, good food, drink selection, bar area, popsicles for the 100°+ weather and a large area to eat or work. I brought my laptop and was able to work quietly and effectively with the upbeat Spanish music. Highly recommend during your stay!
