I’ve boarded my pup here twice now, and each time has been an amazing experience! The staff is incredibly kind and attentive, I could tell my dog was in great hands from the moment I dropped him off. One of the things I appreciate most is the 24/7 webcam access. Being able to check in on him whenever I wanted gave me so much peace of mind, especially while being away. It’s clear they truly care about the animals they look after. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for safe, trustworthy, and loving care for their dog!

Second Home Pet Resort is truly heaven on earth for pets! I HIGHLY recommend to anyone in need of care for there pets. I had to fly to Chicago for a wedding and couldn’t bring my service dog because I wasn’t sure how she would handle going on a plane ride. I have never left my dog alone for even one day or overnight. She hasn’t even been home alone for more than an hour or two. Obviously leaving her anywhere with anyone for the very first time was a struggle and extremely nerve wrecking for me and my dog. Not with Second home pet resort… it was truly such a blessing knowing she was in safe hands! The staff were all so welcoming, kind and understanding.

I specifically want to thank and talk about MEGAN and JA! These two women are absolutely the sweetest and most loving animal people I’ve ever met!! Megan spent so much time answering all of my questions I had before making my pets reservation. After speaking with her, I felt so at peace and knew my dog was going to have a wonderful time. She helped me get my puppy signed up for pool play time and informed me of the 24/7 live video cam access which I added, so I could see my puppy at all times in her room. MEGAN also gave me an in person tour of the entire resort which was gorgeous! I was able to look at all the room options and then I decided to go with the indoor/outdoor patio elite suite. Words cannot express how thankful I am for MEGAN going above and beyond helping me! She is such a sweetheart and she is the main reason I decided to book my reservation for my puppy at this resort. Also, I would like to thank JA. She was in charge of taking care of my puppy during her pool time. I have to say, she is absolutely wonderful! JA went out of her way and sent me the most precious photos of my puppy having the time of her life! She even threw balls into the water for my dog because I told her that is her favorite. She looked so happy in every photo and I could tell she was having a blast! Thank you JA for taking such amazing care of my puppy!

Overall, I highly recommend Second Home Pet Resort! I consider myself to be quite the overprotective pet parent but with second home, I truly felt at ease throughout the entire process. From the moment I dropped my puppy off up until the day I went to pick her up I received incredible support and understanding from the staff. They made the whole process so relaxing and I had no worries leaving my baby girl. Thank you to everyone who took such excellent care of my puppy and being there to support me throughout the process as well. I will definitely be recommending Second Home Pet Resort to all my friends and family because this is without a doubt, the place to take your pet!

So clean and well run! I don’t know what happens, but my dog goes in happy and excited and comes out happy and exhausted. Must be lots of fun! They take great care to supervise the dogs and the desk crew is awesome. The best!

I took my dog for a test run last weekend and had a really good experience! I love that Second home has different options for different dogs and temperaments. I’ve always kind of had a hard time feeling at ease leaving my dog at Pet Resort’s, but Kristin, Amanda and Erica all made me feel like they had it under control. I’m looking forward to being able to go to a wedding in a couple weeks and it’s all because they made that possible! Thank you!!!

Absolutely loved the staff there . They treated my dogs like they were one of their own. Clean place. And lots to do for your pets. And I loved their prices. I rate it 100 percent and more.i will never take my loves ones anywhere else

I had to leave my cat Dana for about 12 days (on platinum package) for Christmas traveling, and they were wonderful to her. My cat was so depressed the first few days we left since this is her first time boarding. The staff did a wonderful job at helping her feel more comfortable and by the end of it she was a huge cuddle bug with them. They sent nightly report cards with photos and videos and she seemed so chipper with them by the end of her stay. They also made sure she was taking her medicine on schedule and eating. They’re such a nice bunch of people and I’m happy they took good care of my baby!!!

I contacted Second Home Pet Resort to enroll my dog so he could make friends, play with other dogs his size, and possibly board overnight. He is a purebred American Bully, but was told they do not accept any bully breed dogs due to “breed restrictions.” This was disappointing to hear, especially since Arizona does not have any breed-specific legislation (BSL). Businesses in our state are not legally required to discriminate by breed, and best practices in animal care focus on evaluating dogs individually by their temperament and behavior, not by how they look or what they’re labeled.

What makes this policy even more concerning is the contradictory information presented. On Second Home’s own social media pages, there are clearly photos of bully breed–type dogs enjoying daycare. When I asked about this inconsistency, I was told those dogs were admitted under documentation calling them “boxer mixes.” This suggests the facility enforces its rules selectively or allows workarounds for some but not others.

To add to the confusion, the owner of Second Home is also affiliated with HARTT Rescue. This organization promotes the adoption of bully breeds and advocates for their fair treatment. Supporting bully breeds in a rescue setting while excluding them from daycare services is contradictory and sends a mixed message. Additionally, all pet behaviorists know that socialization and exercise solve many behavior issues. But Second Home won’t even give these pups a chance with a proper assessment.
Second Home Pet Resort should hold themselves to higher standards of transparency, fairness, and consistency. More importantly, facilities should focus on the behavior and temperament of individual dogs, not blanket stereotypes about breeds.

I had an issue with worms infested in my 50 lb bag of food that created my dog to have worms in his poop. I now have a vet bill of over $500 as of now and had to pay pest control to come and kill the worms that infested my pantry! Thank goodness my dog is ok so far and I hope continues, but as you can imagine, what a stress and worry to deal with.

I have been coming to PetsMart for over 5 years, every month spending over $100 each month, as you can see on my history if looked up by my phone number. MATTEO helped me and calmed me. He was so kind and calming and understanding. I came in with my receipt and explained my situation and my worry for my dog and he was understanding, considerate and exchanged it out for me with no issues. Thank you for not adding to my stress and for being considerate and respectful! I will definitely continue my business here. One terrible issue can be turned around when you have someone who helps with good customer service and doesn’t treat every customer like they are just trying to get a free bag of food. He was truly a great understanding human. Thank you!

We were looking to adopt a kitten since we’ve lost two of our senior cats over the last two months. My wife has always wanted a black cat. When we arrived the only kittens they had were a brother and sister both all black! Tyler helped us and he was very friendly, helpful and a joy to work with. Kudos to him and Petsmart! Thank you so much.

Absolutely the worst grooming experience I’ve ever had. I took my poodle to the Mayo Blvd location and made it very clear over the phone that I wanted a groomer who specializes in poodles. They scheduled me for 7:00 AM — I showed up on time, but the groomer, Cynthia, was nowhere to be found. She arrived 30 minutes late with no call, no apology, and no sense of urgency whatsoever.

I gave her detailed instructions and even showed her a photo of how I wanted my dog groomed. She barely acknowledged it and clearly didn’t care. Then, she kept my poor dog for over 5.5 hours. When I came to pick him up, instead of bringing him out, she continued grooming another dog — and told me to wait! After five hours! Unbelievable.

When I finally got my dog back, I was horrified. She butchered his haircut — completely ruined the look, ignored everything I asked for, and left him looking worse than ever. Uneven, choppy, and nothing like a professional groom. She destroyed his coat.

Then came the final insult — she added a $15 charge for a nail trim I never asked for. I paid what I was required to, but let me be clear: what she did to my dog was not worth paying for.

This was hands down the most careless, disrespectful, and unprofessional service I’ve ever encountered. Do not bring your dog to Cynthia or this location. They don’t care, they don’t listen, and they have no business handling animals.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Stay far, far away.

I just love the daycare here. I had a very busy day at work on my dog’s birthday and really couldn’t do anything special for him that day and had to put him into daycare. I mentioned to one of the workers that it was birthday. When I picked him up that night, they’d made him this beautiful card and put together a bag of goodies. I wasn’t expecting that, and it just made my day and meant so much to me that they cared for him in that way, and I still have the card on our refrigerator months later.

They are always kind and wonderful and just the very best people. They are so good with my dog. He is so thrilled whenever I take him. He can’t wait to go there. He doesn’t even notice that I have left. He is so exhausted the next day. He usually sleeps for 12 hours straight.

Their themed party days are so cute, and they always take such good pictures of him. I don’t how they get him to smile. I can’t get him to smile in pictures for me.

I just love being able to take him there because I know he loves it, and it’s something I can do for him that I know improves his quality of life.

Staff is always super nice. The manager too. The store is clean and they have prescription food. Best choice for the area. (The one on frank loyed is kinda gross, use this store)

APPALLING experience! A very rude and incredibly UNprofessional employee, Josh G., pushed me out of the store at 9:02pm claiming that the register closes and locks down at exactly 9:05pm. I was about done anyway… I made my rushed purchase at 9:04pm. But NOT believing him… I asked to wait ONE minute until 9:06pm to test the alleged policy by making another purchase of an item at the counter. He “curtly” and rudely refused saying “I’m busy and cannot do that.” I persisted, saying that it’s not unreasonable to ask him to wait ONE minute. He kept repeating himself saying “I’m busy.” When I calmly and politely protested and expressed that it felt like “BS” (NOT bull shit, but “BS”) he then accused me of “swearing.” OMG! Life’s too short for such a lack of cooperation and discourtesy. Josh G. should be reprimanded for this behavior. It WAS BS!

From the moment I walk into the store I feel comfortable & look forward to being welcomed by employees. I take my baby girl Addie to dog day camp every Thursday & once again I’m welcomed by the amazing employees that take care of my Addie! She gets so excited to see the employees it’s cute. I’m very confident & comfortable that they are taking tope notch care for the wellbeing of my baby girl!!! If I could I would have her participate in dog day camp every day that I’m @ work! I’ve been bringing my dog, Khalifa, here for boarding and daycare for the past four years, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. He absolutely loves it, and it’s clear the staff genuinely cares for the animals in their care. They are consistently kind, attentive, and professional, which gives me complete peace of mind—especially when I’m out of town—knowing Khalifa is safe, happy, and not confined to a traditional kennel environment.
What really sets this place apart is their exceptional customer service. After every boarding stay, I receive a courtesy call to check on how Khalifa is doing—a thoughtful touch that truly goes above and beyond.
I’ve used other facilities in the past, and none compare to the level of care and attention we’ve received here. I recommend them to all my friends in the Valley who have dogs. Khalifa loves you all!

Love all the staff here- other places that frowned upon our energetic puppy and crating him in “time-outs”, share that they love his energy and letting him be who he is with minimal rest breaks. They are all caring and compassionate not only to our pup, but genuinely seem to care about the owners as well. Thank you for taking care of our Auzzie boy!

Wonderful experience! We’ve taken our dog to two different locations. Both have incredible staff and he comes home so happy!

I’ve taken my dog to Paradise Dogs 24/7 for about 2 years for half days and several week long vacations. He is always happy and excited to go. They have many activities and parties that your dog can participate in if you choose. Most have an additional cost.
Staff are all friendly dog people open to input about your pup’s needs. Have never had a problem and I would highly recommend their services.

We always have the best experiences here. Madison is amazing! We took our newest pup for a half day to make sure he’d do ok, they loved him, and he found a new friend! He was exhausted and happy when we picked him up. We’ve been taking our dogs there for years and have always had a great experience. So good to help socialize young pups and to help with their young energy! I highly recommend!

I am so fortunate define a wonderful day care for my dog. Luna loves her experience here and the staff is friendly and professional. I work mostly evenings and it’s difficult to find a place that open longer than 6 pm. I’m so grateful to have this place to take her.

Love Paradise Dogs. My dog Oakley loves Drea (manager). Every time we arrive, Oakley runs straight to her and never looks back. She treats him like her own. If it weren’t for her, I don’t think we’d go back to Paradise. Hannah is usually there when I pick him up and she’s super friendly.

First time boarding my rescue Wilma, and I was a bit nervous for her. Hoping she wouldn’t think I was dropping her off at a shelter. She was only there for two days, but she seemed to have fun! The cameras show the play area, and gives peace of mind even if you miss your dog’s time. Just seeing the others having fun is reassuring enough. As much as I don’t like leaving Wilma, I know during our time apart she’ll have fun

We are so grateful for Pet Paradise working with our dog to get him comfortable in a play group. We were excited to watch him on the cameras during our trip and so comforted knowing he was having fun! Thank you for the pictures Pet Paradise. We recently boarded our Black lab (Rydlley) and our Aussie (Reno) for the weekend and it was a great experience. The ladies at the desk were so friendly, helpful and understanding! This was my first time boarding my lab and it was perfect! Will absolutely be boarding there again!!

We had an amazing experience at Pet Paradise! Our chocolate lab absolutely loved it – he was so happy and well cared for during his stay. The staff was incredibly friendly, professional, and clearly passionate about the animals. The facility was spotless, and we felt completely at ease knowing he was in such a clean and safe environment. It’s clear they go above and beyond to make pets (and their humans) feel welcome. We’ll definitely be back- highly recommend!!

The staff is really nice which is great to see. This was the first time using their service and I appreciated that they had an opening and accepted a new dog without a meet and greet. Huck is not use to being kenneled, which I believe is how he spent much of this time. When asked how much time he gets to be out and play, I was told about 2-1/2 hours. It is really hot in Phoenix, so I appreciate that they have both indoor and outdoor play spaces. On the third day of dropping off Huck, he followed the staff member and didn’t pull towards me like he did the first two days. I’d say he was ok being there! How could he not…..he got an ice cream treat each afternoon. Reservations and vet records are all done online. Very easy process!

Pet Paradise is the best! Savannah and Bailey treat Beau like family — he’s always excited to go and comes home happy and tired. I know he’s in great hands every time. Can’t recommend them enough!

This is the worst experience that we’ve had with our dogs. It is the second time that we board our dogs here, the first time they returned our dogs with the paws covered in urine, my goldendoodle had a paw infection and my small dog even had parts of his body covered in urine. Before giving them another chance we called them before and they apologize and told us that that was not going to happen again. We even booked two baths so they were clean and cute for us to pick them up. Attached are the pictures of what we received. After $830 both dogs got a path infection and didn’t get a bath and they charged us for that. We asked to ask with a supervisor and she said “I am the supervisor, whats up?. And refunded the bats (that they didn’t get).

Beside that, if you have a friendly kind of shy dog I will avoid this place. I had to call because there was a german shepherd bullying my dog and no one pays any attention to the dogs, the two girls were talking on the same spot not interacting with the dogs, they just needed a coffee table and some cookies.

We did it just because of how close it is to us but there are so many other good places around that this one is definitely not worth it. There is Boulder Falls Pet Resort that is amazing and plenty of facebook groups around north Phoenix that offer the service.

If you know someone with dogs that could possibly stay here, please let them know to not do it! I will make sure to post on my north phoenix facebook groups so everyone is aware.

Wonderful dog daycare. The staff is so friendly and clearly love the dogs. It’s clean and cool inside and the prices are reasonable. They were absolute lifesavers for us as we had a medical issue and needed a daycare quickly. They scheduled the meet and greet and she was approved and we were able to schedule right after. She’s getting much needed socialization as well. Highly recommend

Been meaning to post since 2023. My 16 lbs Norfolk Terrier had the nail of one of his paws ripped off here. Then they have the gall to suggest that my dog was terrorizing the other humongous dogs they had boarded him with. Lots of other local, independent options . Avoid.

Our dog, Britney Jean Spears is CRAZY about this place! EVERYTIME I say the word “daycare” she’s pulling me to the car. Dogtopia has been great for her. She comes home happy and well rested.

Our guy LOVES his days at Dogtopia. Kyle and Jacob and all the staff are so friendly and truly love the dogs. Each month is themed, they have parties and treats and picture days. Cleanliness, safety, super convenient hours and just all the things that a dog parent would want. The way they structure the daycare and the boarding so that all the dogs know each other is really fantastic. So happy we found them.

We had such a great experience boarding our three horses here. We decided to leave our other boarding facility and the team here was incredibly helpful in helping us move very quickly. The stalls were kept clean, the horses were fed on time, and it does not feel crowded there. It’s hard with three horses to get access to any turnout at most boarding facilities but I was almost always able to get them turned out. People who board there were polite and friendly but minded their own business to which was also a refreshing change. Arika and her husband go above and beyond to make sure that you and your horses are comfortable. I highly recommend this place.

The owners at CCRV are the sweetest people. They are very caring and keep there facility extremely clean. I’m a horse owner who boards there and have never had any issues. They have extremely big stalls available for your horse as well.

Genuine delight of a place to stay for both human and fur covered family members. One of the few child friendly RV places in the area! The managers should get a raise for all the time and attention they give their guests. You truly feel like you are a part of the family here!

This facility is awesome!! I cannot say enough about the managers and their care for the property. Always clean and safe. Always making improvements. Great for overnighters or long term.

Love D Pet Hotels! Both Arcadia & Scottsdale, but Arcadia is our primary use. Great service, great staff, friendly, attentive & super loving to the doggies. It is clear they take care of our babies. My Serendipity absolutely loves it here and the staff. She gets super excited while we drive to doggy daycare and always pulls excitedly to get through the doors so she can go play. We even get her grooming done here, and she still loves coming & playing with her doggy friends.

This place is so wonderful. I take both my boys here and I know that they are given so much love. I also get a collection of photos everyday. They always look so happy. Love the fact that they also get baths the morning of pick up!

Jesse and his team are friendly, attentive, and professional. We feel very comfortable leaving our precious, geriatric pup here while we are away. They shared the most adorable pictures with us during her stay. Thank you for providing a safe and reliable space for our fur baby!

Excellent service from the very beginning. I’ve left my dog there for over night boarding. She wasn’t eating her kibble so they texted some options to “enhance” her appetite. I forgot her fave blanket and bedding another time and they just supplied one. She ran out of food another time and they just let me know and supplied some. (I sound like a bad “dog mom”!) They send photos and updates too.

As always, my Lucie had a great time with her littles pals, and favorite care-giver family in Arcadia! Thank you for taking such great care of my sweetheart!

It’s never easy having to leave your pets when you take a trip but Arcadia D Pet Hotel makes it so easy. They love my boys almost as much as I do. I drop them off and never worry. So thankful that Rupert and Fergus have a home away from home.

Eell to start this was our first time ever boarding. Our 139 lbs Rottweiler and our very dominant shih Tzu. Ashley was AMAZING! I was so worried I could hardly enjoy my vacation. Then Ashley sent pictures and made sure to ease my pain. My dogs are happy and they are pooped out tonight. They were easy to work with and gentle as possible. Great place. Won’t ever go anywhere else if the need ever existed

Our dogs are always so well taken care of. They prompt with updates. The pricing is very fair as well. Recommend this place for anyone who wants peace of mind when they leave their pets with someone while out of town. I love how they take the time to bathe and groom our pets before we arrive.

Over the past year I have often used CCC’s daycare services while there was construction activity at my house. It has been a great option for making sure my dog was comfortable and cool while I was busy going to appointments in non dog friendly places. He loves it too and is happy to visit! I’m glad CCC offers daycare in addition to its overnight boarding services which I’ve used for many years. Daycare is also a great option for travelers from out of town!

At first we were very apprehensive about leaving our pup for the first time for an extended time. (8days) He is used to running free on 1k acres.
We could tell upon picking him up he was just fine.
I liked the demeanor of the proprietors and felt confident they liked animals and truly cared for the ones they looked after. They even kept daily records of the eating habits which was kind of comforting in a way.

My dog is a rescue and therefore has some “issues” that were apparently too much for other boarding locations- yet the Dog whines with excitement when he realizes we are headed to the Canine Country club. He recognizes and is friendly with the staff — because the people running the boarding are DOG people, not just someone who answered a job posting. They treat my dog (and all pets) like the Good Boy that he is, and know how to handle his anxiety and quirks. Reasonably priced. Centrally located (perfect to drop off before heading to airport) AND definitely worth the drive

I had an unexpected emergency that required me to be out of state for two weeks, and this was the very first time I had to leave my dog. I was nervous at first, but Ashley and Dawn went above and beyond to make the experience stress-free. They were incredibly accommodating, kept me updated, and most importantly, took wonderful care of my pup. Knowing he was in such good hands gave me so much peace of mind. Ashley and Dawn were truly top-notch, caring, professional, and so helpful. I can’t thank them enough!

I love how Ashley took pictures of my Sadie while she was there. i had brought a bag of apples for Ashley to give her, and she returned the bag with the extra apples. i have no concerns with taking Sadie back it’s the first time I boarded her and totally expected her to come home frazzled. WRONG it wasn’t like I had left her for 8 days. she was the exact same doggie. I’m so impressed.

I am not easily impressed, but WCR is truly an exceptional facility. The owners are incredibly sincere and kind, the group of boarders is fantastic, and the facility itself is clean, relaxing, safe, and well-organized. The horses are happy, healthy, and clearly well cared for. Visitors often arrive and simply don’t want to leave — it’s that special.

I love this place. You can go ride your horse there they have trails that goes all the way to 19th Ave and towards the 51 freeway also. They have a round pin and arena there also. They take care of your horse like there own. People there are very friendly and nice. That place reminds me of back home. I give it a ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐..

My horse who I’ve been boarding at the Stony Mountain Ranch from June this year, died on November 4, 2019 after 4 colics in 5 months. My horse had no history of colics. My horse was the second horse that died there this year. Another horse had two colics, the second one costs the owner over $2,000.00 in hospital costs. Another horse was standing in mud for 3 months until another boarder intervened. Another boarder took her horse out because it was getting very skinny. Another horse had a huge wound on the head. When another boarder intervened, the owner said mind your own business. If you love your horse, don’t board the horse at that awful pit. They didn’t even have the decency to place a blanket over my dead horse or placed her head back into the stall. Picture shows how we found her. If you love your horse, stay as far away as you can.

Very disappointed in the facility and the care my horse received. Yes, the scenery is beautiful and the trails are awesome but I highly discourage anyone from boarding here. My horse started loosing weight to the point his withers, ribs and hips were sunken and obviously bony. He was always acting so hungry whenever I would see him. One morning I went early and saw he wasn’t fed at all and there was no food in the hay storage area. Stoney mountain literally starved my horse. His pen was not kept up with and always disgusting. I moved him two weeks ago and he already looks so much better and is gaining weight.

The monthly fee included the cleaning of stalls each morning and feeding of hay twice a day with hay provided by the stable. Unfortunately, feedings were skipped and at least two evenings in row our horse was not fed and would have gone without any food if not for the grain that we bring to him twice a day. Sadly, other horses were not so lucky and apparently had no food for almost 24 hours. As a result we bought a bale of hay that we had to keep in our garage because we were not allowed to keep anything on site unless if could fit into a small locker. After one month of paying for services not delivered or poorly delivered at best, we moved our horse at the first possible minute to another stable. I do not know if the missed feedings were some weak attempt at cost savings or just an uncaring culture but agreeing to feed any animal per a signed contract and failing to do so is cruel and can have significant health implications for the horse.

My horse who I’ve been boarding at the Stony Mountain Ranch from June this year, died this week after 4 colics in 5 months. My horse had no history of colics. My horse was the second horse that died there this year. Another horse had two colics, the second one costs the owner over $2,000.00 in hospital costs. Another horse was standing in mud for 3 months until another boarder intervened. Another boarder took her horse out because it was getting very skinny. I do not recommend that place to any one.

They take care of your horse even when your not there. I like there location couple of trails around the area. The best thing about it is it’s not crowded with people. If I want to get away from the noises around me I go to Stony Mountain Ranch it’s quiet over there I enjoy quiet time and hang out with all the horses.

Just because I do not like the reviews they should be shut down and arrested on animal neglect and cruelty.
