You just don’t find gyms like this. I’m a traveling sales guy so I try gyms everywhere and this one is super special. Ivan was amazing and showed me how important it was to their gym culture to make the space clean, inviting, and serious. These guys/gals are so amazing. If you’re looking for your home gym, this should be your first stop. If you’re from out of town, give them a call and come experience the best PHX has to offer. If I could give them 6 stars I would!

Muscletopia is hands down one of the best gyms in Phoenix! The environment is top-tier and super motivating—every time I walk in, I feel pushed to give my best. The owner, Ivan, is awesome. He genuinely cares about the members and makes sure everyone is striving to reach their potential.

They offer treatments like red light therapy that most people haven’t heard of. In pain? Go see check this place out. Need to get your health back? Go see these people. Fairly new member to Gym, since October 2024. I love the 24 hrs access, the small feel of it, and close community of people. The monthly membership is so affordable! And one of best qualities about the gym with the variety of machines available. With that I am able to hire a trainer (Sheryl is amazing!!) To actually feel and see that I am reaching my goals.
I’ve been part of bigger gyms with saunas and classes and “luxury” feel but never felt as strong as I do now. And that’s what really matters to me.

hands down, my favorite gym! never have any issues here and very rare to have equipment problems which is the best part compared to these larger commercial gyms. they also have the brento box to purchase meal preps, and healthy deserts at their facility which is great plus! the ONLY thing i wish this gym had is a landmine attachment to the racks they have or to insert into the plate in a good location. other than that love it here.

I chose this gym because of the low population during peak hours, I was told that there was a membership cap so it wouldn’t get too crowded. The air conditioning was not great and the equipment was old but I didn’t have to wait on for anyone while working out. After a year, the population slowly increased to the point I was waiting or just moved on to the next lift or the one after. They also implement a surge charge every other month to pay for new equipment and other improvements which if there was new equipment it was used. They have some technical issues with accessing the gym, they will make you down load a couple applications. They tell you that they don’t track you but my phone indicated that it was being tracked. They are over complicating the process making it a pain. In my opinion you’re better off going to the big name gyms and pay less. If you are able to go at non peak hours and can handle sub par AC and old equipment and don’t mind paying a little extra to go to a small facility then go ahead. On a positive note the staff is helpful.

Update: The two main workout areas were recently rearranged into more logical groupings. And many of the machines have been given a new coat of black paint. I also notice they’ve lowered the overhead lights a bit now too. Good ideas, nice work.

Best gym in Phx that I’ve found so far. No frills whatsoever, simply a place for people who take their workout seriously.

Good hours, clean, and never what you would say overcrowded. Also, the staff are polite and knowledgeable. They’ve got tons of free weights, all the machines you can think of and some rare ones you don’t see often.

I’ve been a member for 8 months now and it’s certainly helped me get back on the horse. I actually look forward to going to workout here. That’s it!

Signed up here a few weeks ago and loving it! I love their hours and choices of equipment. The staff are also very friendly and welcoming. As far as gyms go the pricing is very competitive which helps since I didn’t want to spend too much money a month it fits the budget nicely.

I’m still learning what all is available but it’s cool they also do a weekly bible study! Right now it’s just Tuesday nights for guys and hoping one for ladies opens back up soon

I hear they do group classes for an additional fee and also lots of personal trainers here.

I’ve been training with Coach Ben since December last year, and I can honestly say he’s one of the best trainers I’ve ever worked with. He’s knowledgeable, motivating, and genuinely cares about helping you reach your goals. I’m really grateful to the gym for introducing me to him.

The gym itself is always clean and well-maintained, with a great atmosphere that makes you want to show up and put in the work. The staff are professional and friendly—Preston, in particular, always greets you with a warm welcome and runs things in a very professional way.

I’m continuing my membership here because of the positive environment and the motivation I get from training with Ben. It’s rare to find a place where both the facilities and the people are this good.

The gym is always clean and the staff are all extremely friendly and polite. There are so many different machines and weights that I’m never waiting for anything.

An otherwise 5 star gym but the new owners have the music so loud that I can hear it though high end noise cancelling headphones. Turn the music back down and I’ll change this.

Was assaulted at this gym by another member, the owner stated they’d let me cancel my membership due to this which I agreed and notified them on however instead of canceling this membership they kept charging me fees and sent me it to collections. There’s a reason why this place offers free energy drinks for good reviews. This place is the definition of a scam and the operation they run is illegal in many ways. I wouldn’t recommend this gym to any women or individuals wanting a safe environment to workout and a staff that doesn’t try to scam you.

Liberty is a private gym with a cool, no frills vibe. I was able to get in everything I needed for my push day.

They’ve got some solid options for strength athletes too. I used the sandbags, a Husafell sandbag, and an axle while I was there. The staff was really friendly and made me feel welcome, which I appreciated.

Overall, it’s a good spot if you’re looking for a focused place to train without the distractions of a big commercial gym.

Visited Phoenix with my wife and Liberty was quick to respond and give us a gym to train. Not only were they quick and helpful but the facility was stocked with everything you need to get a session in. From powerlifting, strongman, and/or regular strength training they have all the fun toys to come with it! This is without a doubt the place I would choose to join in the area if I lived here.

Check them out for their strongman events in the area! You won’t want to miss this team running an event I have no doubt it’s top notch.

Liberty is hands down the best gym I’ve been to in the Valley and I’ve been to a few. The community, coaches, ownership everything is top notch. I was really looking forward to getting started on my fitness journey and had high hopes for this gym, but unfortunately, my first impression was disappointing. Personal training is a serious investment—both financially and in terms of time—and one thing you can never get back is your time.

I had a confirmed appointment set, and just 45 minutes before, I was asked to move to accommodate another client. That’s not the best welcome or introduction, especially for someone considering a $1,000 commitment. If I’m expected to invest at that level, I would hope to be treated with the same professional courtesy and respect that reflects the value of that investment.

It’s disheartening, because I’m fully committed to reaching my goals, but sadly, I’ll have to exclude this gym from my path forward. It feels like we live in a world where businesses ask for a premium but do little to elevate the service to match. I genuinely hope I find the right personal training environment—one that respects my time and treats potential clients like they matter.

My wife and I absolutely love this gym. The small training classes and attentive trainers really allow you to ensure your form is on point, and the culture is amazing. The trainers are some of the best I have seen in all the gyms I’ve ever been to, and it takes a lot of the stress out of planning your routine each visit.

The new owners / coaches Alex & Steven are amazing. It’s a great small personal gym where I feel motivated to go work out in a very focused 45 min session, 3 to 4 times a week. Sure, it costs a lot more than those large gyms at $40 a month but I had never been this consistent or serious with my workout before I started here. Curated daily workout menu, nutrition advice, constant positive feedback from the coaches and other equally motivated Trifit buddies all included!!

I’ve always experienced working out as both hard and boring, so my motivation for exercise was pretty low, but I work at a desk and it’s taken a toll on my body. From my first workout, I was 100% sold on vibes alone.
The studio manager, Alli, was easy to talk to and even though her job is selling memberships, I felt no pressure. The owner/trainers, Alex and Steven, are outstanding. They are so good at understanding what people’s goals are and how they like to be motivated, and I always feel energized and encouraged when I interact with them. There’s great variety in the workouts so I never get bored and the classes are always full of great people.
I never feel like anyone is looking around comparing themselves to others. We are all just pushing ourselves and enjoying this amazing community. I’ve been working out here 3-5 times a week consistently for over a year. For me, that kind of consistency is unheard of, so this place must be magic. Cannot recommend this gym highly enough.

I have been training with Roxanne at Underground Fitness for about 6 weeks now. I have seen incredible results and feel great. She listens to your requests and will exclude or include whatever you want into the workouts. I do full-body workouts 2 days/week and am the perfect amount of soreness after, just enough to feel like I worked out. She also explains what muscles we’re working with each exercise, which I appreciate. I really enjoy working out there, which says a lot because it’s not my favorite thing to do, and look forward to going. The atmosphere at Physiques Gym is truly one of a kind. From the moment you walk through the doors, you’re inspired to push yourself and grow. I first booked a class at PG when I was having a difficult time after my first bodybuilding competition—I needed a reset. I drove an hour and forty minutes to Phoenix, hoping that Craig’s reputation was the real deal and that he could challenge me in a way I hadn’t experienced before.

He did not disappoint.

From that first session, I was pushed beyond what I thought were my limits, and I was immediately hooked. Though I’m a personal trainer at a great gym in Tucson, I still choose to drive to Scottsdale three times a week to train at Physiques. The growth I’ve experienced over the last seven months—physically, mentally, and emotionally—has been incredible, and I owe so much of that to Craig and Cara.

My journey with Physiques began when my son’s football team was being trained by Coach Craig, both at his high school and at Physiques Gym three times a week. My dad has been coming here for nearly 20 years. I had come in on a few occasions when I was younger and remember being in awe even at such a young age. Last year he convinced me to tag along to a personal training session. At 21 with zero experience with body building I was laying down on the floor, breathing as if I had just ran a marathon, after about 25 minutes of working out with Craig. It was an eye opening experience to say the least. That was the start of my new found respect that I now possess for body building. One that continues to grow as each week passes. This is for the most part due to Craig and Cara. Their knowledge and passion has been evident from the moment I met them. They have created an environment where you can comfortably express and easily begin achieving your goals. Whether it’s your first time in a gym and want to put on some muscle, lose some weight, or even if you’ve been competing for a while and you want to reach the next level. This is the place to go. Physiques gym is a place of persistence, accountability, and most importantly, winning. There is a dedication that exists in that building unlike any other place I’ve seen. The distinction from working out and body building is one that is made clear from the start. A distinction that is held up by the standard that is set. No one sits you down and says these are the rules. It’s instilled in you, not only by the coaches but the others who you body build along side with. A culture of respect and a group of people who naturally make you want to push yourself to be better. I have gained so much from this culture that I have luckily stumbled into, from more confidence in myself to a constant badgering of people telling me to eat more food. My dad had raved about Physiques for as long as I can remember and I never understood why. Probably because I thought he was just being an annoying parent. I have found that he’s been right all along as parents are most of the time. I have gained so much knowledge and made progress towards my goals in my short time at Physiques. A true gym. Physiques Gym is hands down the best gym in town to train out of! The trainers there are absolutely amazing, Craig, Cara, and Dom truly care about the progression and health. In my 1 year and 4 months of training there I have truly grown my body in so many different way and I owe it all to them I hit a wall in my lifting career in CrossFit and felt like I was stuck and couldn’t grew any more not only did they help me put on 50 pounds of pure muscle they tailored several meal plans to fit my digestive system as well as body to help reach and achieve my goals! I’ve been training 2x week at Barbell with my coach Uriel. He provides really good instruction and is good at explaining how to do the exercises to isolate the muscles which is something I wasn’t very familiar with! It makes a big difference when you know how to do the right motions when lifting to isolate the muscle!

Also they provided me with a macros map that helps keep me on track with what I’m eating. I know what I can have and how much which has helped me lose 12 lbs in 4 weeks and feel stronger overall.
