This Karate school is the best in Phoenix in my opinion. Sensei is very kind and has tons of patience with the kids he teaches. His wife Monica is very sweet and kind, their kids also train and help out with the classes. This is a very close family knit environment, the school is constantly doing family fun things, and movie nights with the kids. My son absolutely loves his private training classes which I would highly recommend to anyone your child will learn so much more in private training, and will advance quickly. My son was very shy and to himself before he started karate, now he wants to participate more and engaged with other kids. My son has come along ways and is coming out of his shell which is huge for us. This school has built my son's confidence as he has been bullied at school. He has learned how to protect himself and also he has learned how to respect himself, family, and grown ups. These are some of the things that the school will instill in your child's mind besides learning self defence. I could go on and on about the school and praise all the good things that they do for all the kids, so I will just end it with this, the school has forever change my son and in all the right ways, he is much happier and he gets excited every time that he gets to go to karate. Thank you Sensei and his family for teaching my son and for loving on him as well. We are truly grateful for everything that you have done, not just with my son but for all the kids that you teach everyday. Thank you! ❤️

Our kiddos have been going to UCELO Martial Arts for the last three years. The confidence, growth, and strength my two kiddos have gained from their experience here is awesome to see as a parent. Sensei along with the other teachers in the class do such an excellent job, with patience, firmness and accountability. Including all the fun the kids have. Also to see all their hard work come to light when testing for the next belt is all worth it as a parent. It’s definitely a friendly/family environment, the family ran dojo has kept the kids in shape and motivated during summer breaks. They create such a positive experience for adults and children! We started at Little Big Minds and they had such a great experience that we are now at the dojo 3 times a week for over a year! Highly recommend!

Our family loves Ucelo Martial Arts Phoenix. Our son started with an afterschool program when he was in preschool at Little Big Minds, and was invited to the annual holiday event where students test and perform. We were so impressed with what we saw (big community with lots of families) that we decided to sign him up for regular classes at their dojo and our 7 year old asked to join too. The little ninjas program is great for young kids. It’s definitely been a good way to introduce our kids to structure and discipline, sensei and the instructors are firm but always kind. I’ve found that if our kids are having a hard day, they seem to feel much better after class so we try to make it as often as we can.

An excellent atmosphere for anybody and any level of experience! Kikin is an an exceptional person and coach, who makes you feel very welcome and comfortable. The atmosphere and fellow students make it one of my favorite places to train in the area. Your skills will improve and you will be having an awesome time in the process! I highly suggest you give it a try!
