12th Street Jiu-Jitsu

UPDATE: my son has been here for almost 2 1/2 years and loves it still. I am grateful for how he has developed and the skills he has gained. We have been taking our son (now 6yrs old) here for three months and he absolutely loves it. The coaches are all very detailed with instruction and very professional/ knowledgeable. All of the kids are focused in class and you can tell each enjoy coming and being there. It is also a clean facility. Even more than what my son is learning it is a great community feel for the students and even parents too. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a jiu-jitsu class and training.

In my heart of hearts I didn’t want to do this, but I have no choice. I don't know what happened to you jose, but we need the old jose back. The way you treated me when i came to visit your gym a couple a weeks ago on the 8th, 3 hours off the plane mind you, was unacceptable. I wont be coming back. To slam a visitor like that and try and push me into the wall on that blast double was uncalled for. To criticize my technique like that was uncalled for just because I cooked your guys in sparring. I respected you. Your gym was a go-to whenever I came to phoenix. Not anymore. Things need to change. You need to take a good look inside at yourself. Because that was bs and you know it.

12th Street Jiu-Jitsu is really an incredible establishment. Building such an amazing community, 12th Street has fostered my love for the sport of Jiu-Jitsu while teaching me so much about the martial art. Every day I look forward to my classes and love being here so much. Amazing instructors, facility, and students make 12th Street the most welcoming and wonderful Jiu-Jitsu gym I have ever trained at.

I was out here visiting from Prescott Arizona . The atmosphere was amazing and the gentleman that I had a privilege to roll with were very humble and respectful. Coach is a very down to earth individual and allowed everyone from different levels to roll and just have a good time . Respects to 12th street ! I recommend anyone from any level of experience to visit this gym .

To start let me say I haven't been at 12th Street very long yet as a student but this is a top notch facility. The mats are brand new and the place is very clean. Professor Jose is phenomenal. His knowledge of jiu jitsu and MMA is astounding. He's a high level competitor and has been for years. The classes are well organized and it's very cool you can wear whatever gi you want here. Training partners are awesome. Everyone just wants to get better. It's clear this is Jose's passion. Often times he's there late at night helping you work on different aspects of your fight game. For what you get his membership prices are awesome! Great place to train and learn!

This is a Great Martial arts school! Coach Jose has been kind, thoughtful, and very welcoming. Also a great athlete! Coach Nez also, a very good coach, and an excellent practitioner!

Dropped in with a group of 4 on vacation for Saturday open mat. Jose was super welcoming and we had a great time. Fantastic no gi rounds. We’ll be back!
