There seemed to be a wide selection of products, though i am not sure compared to other places, as I knew exactly what I was looking for when I came in. The person who assisted me was easy to work with and had more than enough knowledge to answer my questions.

The only complaint i have is they are only open bankers hours, it would be nice if they were open later or on the weekend.

I got a Compustar remote system installed by them. Had to set up an appointment and car was done within 4-5 hours. They did a super clean job, everything looks professional and remote start is flawless . Thank you once again guys

My screen on my 16 Buick Regal was cracked. Touch screen didn’t work. I called dealerships, speaker shops, other custom stereo places..all told me i needed special GM codes to install a new screen. Told me it would be costly with labor and parts..blah blah. Got in touch with Matt one day, he sent me a link for the replacement part to buy, once it got delivered, he had me come in, and was installed and working within 15 minutes. Absolutely amazing. Honest guy, extremely knowledgeable, fair priced and affordable..i will not go anywhere in the valley for my stereo needs after this experience. Highly recommended.

I own a Denon AVR X6200W 9.2 Channel receiver that completely died (no power, no standby, nothing). A similar replacement receiver cost between $1500-$1800 and other shops quoted $500-$600 to fix it if. I was beside myself (I love my theater) and have limited cash. I took it to Jeff’s Professional Audio Repair and he was able to fix it on time for only $150.00. He is honest and runs a great shop! I will take all my audio gear there from here on out. I would give Jeff’s 6 stars if I could! GREAT JOB!!

What a joke, this guy Jeff has destroyed more equipment then he’s repaired.
I brought 6 amplifier to him, only one was fixed properly however I had to bring it back 4 time’s. The other 5 need repaired again.
Stay away from him. No good

I Took my vintage M-504 ONKYO amplifier I bought back in 1988 when stationed in Korea for repair. Jeff did a beautiful job fixing it and it works great! Only cost $180.00. It did take a little longer to fix than I expected, but that’s because he’s very busy. Thanks Jeff!

Jeff and his team did a fantastic job! I had an older vintage receiver I wanted to use for playing vinyl. It had some damage and needed some repairs. They ordered the parts and called me frequently to keep me informed of where they were in the process. Then when it all came together Jeff helped answer my questions and really did a fantastic job. I felt the service was beyond my expectations and would recommend them for any repair they are willing to take on.

I drove an hour from my home to have a discontinued Sony 400 disk CD/DVD changer repaired. I waited in my car because the drive home and back was long. It was repaired in 10 minutes. They had the parts in stock. I’m sure if I had gone to a known repair shop, I would have had to leave it for a week or so and the labor alone would have been more than what I paid for parts and labor. They have piles and piles of old machines which you can buy or they use for parts. If you feel it’s more to repair your unit than is worth, I’m pretty sure they’ll buy your unit from you. I’m happy with the service and the repair. Do yourself a favor. Try them out and save some money. Jeff was there himself. Nice guys.

I took my old Rega planar 1 turntable in to get calibrated on a different stylus. Staff was very friendly and very knowledge. He was able to diagnose what the issue was and get me back in working order. I cannot thank them enough!

Best experience at a business I’ve had in a long time, had bought a cartridge elsewhere and didn’t have the knowledge to swap it myself. They swapped it in about 10 min and charged me an amazing price. Such nice guys too! Will def be coming back here for all my hifi needs in the future!

I stopped by Arizona Hi-Fi yesterday to upgrade my turntable cartridge and everything about my experience there was great! Glen was an absolute pleasure to do business with and he gave me some great advice. I ended up getting a 2m bronze cartridge and I am very happy with my purchase. I highly recommend going to Arizona Hi-Fi for all of your turntable and audio needs.

I reached out via email about buying a new turntable cartridge and received a speedy and nice response. Glen was knowledgeable and welcoming when I came into the store to purchase the cartridge and install it for me. He even let me play some music on the very nice hi-fi speakers they had in there. I am very grateful for the experience as I am in the intermediate/beginner hi-fi stage of my life.

This place and Glenn are amazing. I went in to buy a turn table and realized quickly I was there buying one of the cheaper things in the store. There was absolutely zero pressure to buy anything, I got the show and tell experience in the back listening room. I ended up buying the turn table and ended up getting it cheaper than I could have on Amazon to boot. I even got professional setup on it with an explanation of all the features and how it works.

They’re also a local first Arizona member which is cool.

Guy was great! Brought in and older expensive Polk center channel speaker for repair. It was only firing on 1 channel speaker. Guy dropped what he was doing and took a look at it. Within about 20 minutes or so he had diagnosed the issue to a short and then installed a jumper wire rather charging me to replace unnecessary parts. The price was great too, as I expected to pay more. Thought for sure I’d be buying a whole new center channel. When I got home I fired it up and the sound was fantastic. I would highly recommend Guy and his team. Thank you!

I had a Panasonic 5 cd/2 cassette stereo that quit working. tried to re-set, looked for reset buttons, was referred to these guys by friends because of work he’d done on their stereo. So I made the trek from the West Valley, lugged it in(not a lot of parking available) and paid my deposit. I waited a couple of weeks, and when I didn’t hear anything I called…. I guess they’re overloaded with work because Guy told me that there was an unreplaceable motor(?) that the company doesn’t make any more. I just wish they’d called me when they got the info from the company… I had a ticket and they took my number. The rating is because of the lack of urgency in notifying me, and telling me that there were missing screws… yes, I brought the screws with me when I left my stereo. I guess that’s something else that got lost in the store. :-/

I had a vintage Magnavox Console that I wanted to get repaired as it developed a loud hum that made the using experience not very pleasant. I usually like doing the work myself as I am mechanical and electronically inclined but this time I decided to leave it to the experts as I wanted this console to be in great shape and back to working condition. I took my vintage tube amplifier along with the record changer. Once inspected I was told by Guy and Brian that they needed the radio tuner to be able to complete the system and be able to verify that it was in working condition. After shipping the radio tuner to them (this since I live out of town ), they proceeded to inspect it and work on it. A month and a couple of weeks later, after several follow ups they finally said my record changer had a bad motor and was not salvageable, then proceeded to tell me the amp and tuner were repaired and recapped. Once I got home and put it together, the hum was still there. I was very disappointed as I talked and mentioned that to them and they said they did work on it only to find out they added 1 single capacitor to the amp while it was noticeable that a couple of them were already leaking and as well needed replacement. I tested the capacitors without the speakers ( as they mentioned they wouldn’t really know that there was a hum since they didn’t have the speakers, and the speakers were not taken since like some other clients have mentioned, they dont have space to take bigger equipment in) Indeed several Capacitors were almost not working. I had to put hands on and ordered all the schematics and materials and I actually had to change the capacitors myself on the tuner and the amp and as well fixed the record changer which only had the motor base support too tight that it was creating too much friction and making the motor hot and not allowing the Record Changer to turn at the right 33.5 RPMs. After doing all this work, I got the whole console back to working condition and sounding amazing. Very disappointed that took time and money for them to not address the issue, go around the topic and to send me home 4 hrs away with the items almost the same way they came in. I have attached the pictures of the work I had to do myself, and the videos are the before and after the Hum I had to fix.

I understand people are busy, but like other clients have said, we can take some time before we bring stuff in so you guys don’t have to take in all at once, but after dropping close to $350 on gas, shipping and paying your business only to come home with the same issue, of course one gets upset.

And Yes, I did take it to their shop, and talk back and forth with Brian and Guy by phone and by emails exchanged.

I kind of don’t want to tell people about this hidden gem of a store.. I had an old microphone from the 40s repaired here for a great price … Then discovered all the vintage stereo equipment they have. Could’ve chatted with stereo guy all day! I’m definitely building my new sound system here… Neighbors, BEWARE

Can’t say enough good things about Guy and Phil. These gentlemen share the love and appreciation of vintage audio. They brought back to life my 47 year old Sansui AU 717 amp that had been in storage for 25 years with a bad right channel at a shockingly low price. I have had the good fortune to have rubbed elbows with some of the most famous people in music who have actually used this amp in the late 70’s. I wish they could hear it now. I am forever grateful to have found Guy and Phil to bring those memories back to life. PS.. call Guy in advance for timely service.. the best things come with time when true craftsman execute their skills.

These guys are awesome! They have rebuilt my old Pioneer speakers (bought system in 1987) and they sound great. Recently they replaced the fabric for a Kenwood speaker I have. It looks good, see photo. On top of that their prices are very reasonable.

Guy was able to repair and restore my Sony Walkman cassette player with new belts, bringing it back to life with a desirable turnaround time. Many thanks, I will be back again.

Amazing experience. I called and was lucky enough to be able to get in the same day. When I dropped my car off I was met by Paige (who I believe is the owner) I was immediately impressed by her professionalism and her level of knowledge. I was provided with an estimate which I was happy with and kept informed. When i collected my car I have been nothing but impressed with the equipment and the work performed. Ramses and the team at Audio Techniks are the best! I was experiencing some audio issues on my boat. I asked Ramses to do something awesome and make it sound good. He did exactly that! I am very happy that I have a working amplifier again. I really didn’t know where to take it. After looking at reviews and reading about some of the equipment James has worked on in the past I decided on High End Repair. I was not looking forward to pulling this 90lb behemoth out of its home. James was able to diagnose and repair my Rotel RB 1090. Everything was gone over. James took care of my original complaint as well as an incidental finding that could have been a problem down the road. Great communication, everything was explained clearly. The cost was very fair.

I cannot say enough good about James. I have a Clearaudio Solution turntable and when plugging it into my preamp I twisted the cable in such a way as to break the internal solder connection in the RCA plug. I live way up in Prescott, and James was willing to schedule me in so I could drop it off and pick it up in a few hours. After fixing my cable, he noticed the connector to the turntable’s central bearing was loose and tightened it up. James really knows what he is doing and the quality and care of his work is unsurpassed! Thank you James.

Jim did a fantastic job repairing my Creek integrated amplifier. I had taken my amp to another place in the Phoenix area before, and the guys there failed to solve my problem three times in a row; Jim fixed everything on the first try. And he charged me LESS than those other guys did.

One important caveat: it took Jim a VERY long time to get back to me about the repair. He didn’t respond to several emails and phone calls, and eventually I had to go in person after over eight months had passed without any word from him. To his credit, when I showed up in person and said that I was about to move and needed the job done soon, he had it ready for me in a week. And to be fair, I dropped off my amp a few weeks before he was moving his business to a new location—so a delay on his part is understandable. In the end, it was well worth the wait. I guess a wait is the price you have to pay for the top-notch & in-demand service that Jim provides.

A word to the wise: get your stuff repaired here, and swing by in person if it’s taking too long.

Doug my friend had a manley shrimp that went out and took it to Jim. Jim made it sound better than ever. and now I Have a tonearm issue with my VPI turntable I will alsoTake it To Jim. Jim repaired my junction box to my tone arm the wire was broken inside the junction box he also made sure all of where moving parts are are lubricated correctly. Jim does excellent repair work he is a electronic genius. he understands how amplifiers and preamps in all of your audio equipment works. he repairs high-end audio file equipment. If I have any issues with any of my audio equipment I will be taking it to Jim. We need more people in the world like Jim. Thank God for me he’s in Phoenix Arizona which is local for me I recommend anyone who has audio equipment anywhere in the United States should look him up. Absolutely five star service.

Jim has repaired or upgrading 2 amps, a tuner, a CDP and a turntable over the last 6 years. Always does a great job at fair prices. He is in demand so you may have to wait a few weeks. Highly recommended and he is a great guy.

Jim did a wonderful job on my Line Magnetic amp – fixed everything needed and even some items I didn’t know it needed. And it came back sparkling clean as well at a very reasonable price. This did take some time, but was well worth the wait. I would trust Jim with all my precious audio equipment without reservation. Recommended U bet!

I have a pioneer sx5580 that needed to be serviced. Last time it was services was 3 years ago in Washington state. After looking around here in the phoenix area, I came to the realization that service technicians are becoming fewer and farther in between. I took the receiver to Guy. The man is very busy but still found the time to fit me in. Even through having the flu, he worked his magic and had my receiver back in tip top condition. If you you need a good service tech, he’s your Guy!

Went in today to look for a vintage bookshelf stereo system, the owner and his employees were super attentive to my needs and price point and offered me several good choices to choose from. I decided on a Pioneer system and I think I will be happy with my choice. Stop by if you are looking for an older system, need to have a part of your stereo repaired, or just like geeking out on vintage audio equipment. I definitely will be coming back for more goodies.

I have been dealing with these guys for a couple years now. They have a wide selection of vintage electronics. They have a awesome repair guy. Lastly, their prices are reasonable. I believe they buy, sell, trade, repair and consign. This is the receiver I bought from them isn’t it a beauty. The next picture is a unit I had them install led lights in. That cool blue really makes a difference.

I want to a budget car audio place a few minutes away who had told me over the phone they would do my car speakers but when I got there they changed their mind. I called Soundwerks and even though they don’t regularly work on car audio things, they were kind enough to assess whether they could help me, and even got me in the following day, and within an hour they had replaced the broken speakers in my 35 year old van, for a reasonable price. I recently recently wanted to get my old college stereo system up and running again. Technics SA 5370 am/fm Stereo receiver and a technics SL220 Turntable. After a bit of research on vintage stereo repair, I went to SoundWorks vintage audio. I met Phil and the rest of the crew. I knew I’d pick the right place to do the repairs on nearly 50-year-old equipment. I needed a new set of speakers Also and Phil showed me a pair of vintage JBL L100s vintage 1970s that blew me away. I went back the following day and made the decision to purchase the speakers. Well, Phil was helping me with the speakers. The tech crew informed me that my receiver and turntable were both done and ready to roll. Everything had been cleaned and serviced and gone over to make sure was working properly. We test drove it in the shop. I could not believe That this was 47 year old equipment coming back to life. Sounded amazing. I can’t say enough about Phil and his crew. These guys are wizards with audio. They have such a huge knowledge base and basically any part you could need. The shop has my highest recommendation. And the top off the unbelievably fantastic service, The cost of the repairs and the speakers Was phenomenal. Go see Phil and his crew, they will take great care of you.
