It feels a bit like a cross between a Walmart and a dollar store. Their bulk good section is extensive, ranging from the more typical coffee, grains, and nuts to a huge variety of candy. The pricing isn’t enough for me to drive 16 minutes, but if you live nearby it would be a great option for grocery shopping.

☆ 4/5
What a wonderful store! The produce selection was diverse, fresh, and, most importantly, affordable! The bulk sales area is fantastic. They even have the grinders to make fresh nut butters -like some other markets I won’t name, but affordable. The meat department selection is a bit scant, but everything they do have is extremely well priced. If you have children (or are one at heart) you will love the toy section, it reminds me of the old ” five and dime” stores and priced like one.

First, I love the fact it’s 24 hours! Sometimes you just can’t get to the store during regular hours. But I was also impressed by the selection and prices. Not everything was cheaper, but if it wasn’t, it was very comparable to other stores. They also carry bulk items, some of which are hard to find and many brought back some nostalgic childhood memories… loved that! I stopped for some distilled vinegar and l ended up leaving with several bags of groceries after finding some great sale items. The staff was friendly and the store was clean. I will definitely be shopping there again!

I wish all grocery stores had a bulk section like Winco. I drive 30 minutes out of my way to come shop at Winco. Their smokehouse Cajun seasoning is incredible and I’ve never found another premade seasoning to compare. I love their produce selection and the bulk section haunts my dreams regularly.

The employees always greet you when you walk in. I like how convenient the store is for all your needs. Really, the only place left, that is 24/7. So convenient, whenever you need something last minute or late night drinks. However, they do not accept credit cards. Cash and/or debit is accepted. At night, they usually have one register open. So the line tends to get very long. The prices here aren’t so bad either.

Great prices on Purina Dog food! Produce is pretty darn good as well. Prices are very very good on most everything. Wish you did take credit cards but I can understand why you don’t. I didn’t know it was cash only until I tried to use my card. Thankfully I had cash on me.

Funny how I never step into Trader Joe’s in CA but I’ve been to so many throughout AZ whenever we are in town. They have the freshest gorgeous flowers compared to Wholefoods, Fry’s or Costco.
Out of all the TJ in Phoenix, this location is by far my favorite for flowers. Their wide selection is organized and fair prices. I especially love their wall of orchids.
Last month we wanted certain colors for Gladiolus and we called in advanced to reserve a box. The box came in multi colors and they don’t have control over what colors but we were able to select what we wanted instead of the ones on display. Same with roses.

Fast becoming my favorite place to shop for weight loss and health friendly dishes. I love the vegetable fried rice and their fresh pizza dough. The pictures are 2 new favorites. Fresh vegetables and chefs selections are great. Any one of their locations is a good choice- they are consistent!

We love this TJ’s! Unfortunately, the last two times we bought dairy products from there it was spoiled! The first time, it was the organic TJ’s heavy cream and this time it was the organic TJ’s half-in-half. Both were unopened and unexpired but VERY sour/curled when I went to use it. Super disappointing

If you have not tried Trader Joe’s, you might want to give it a shot. Just go in with an open mind and a small budget and try a few items you might buy normally but now it will be another brand.
I get my goat cheese, avocados, cashews, sparkling wine, sparkling water, cottage cheese and sometimes a new cracker to try. It all depends on what is needed at home. It’s definitely worth a visit.

I’ve been to many Trader Joe’s locations, but this one is by far my favorite. Every employee I’ve interacted with has been consistently friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. While this store may be one of the smaller Trader Joe’s, it’s packed with great products and has everything I need. Thank you so much, and keep up the great work!!

Before 10:00 in the morning the shells are fully stocked and traffic is very low. The fish displays look fresh, the deli is displayed beautifully and has a wide variety of meats, olives, pastas and potato salads. And the meat department looks clean and displays beautifully prices are a little high but that’s to be expected at Safeway

Curbside ordering makes things so much easier when you just had surgery and you don’t feel like going in and getting a weeks worth of groceries. They will bring it out for you with any pick up order, straight to your trunk. No getting out of your vehicle for anything. A+ services from an A+ grocery store. Products and selection is always satisfactory.

Where to begin??? My God this place is a zombie apocalypse in the parking lot, so be prepared… I think almost everything I shop for is overpriced, and in order to use their digital coupons to receive a semi-reasonable price, I ALWAYS have to get a live Safeway employee to assist because it NEVER works properly!!! (And then I get grilled by the employee about why I don’t know how to use my digital coupons, which is an added bonus.)The lines for self checkout are endless and there’s only one actual cashier available working, no matter what time of day or night you happen to be there, so please wear your patience pants. Overall, I rate this store a solid 1 out of 10 every time, and say a little prayer that a Fry’s food and drug will secretly appear at this location overnight and all my dreams will come true. For the rest of you dreamers…. Keep dreaming!!!

This store is great. The employees keep it clean, they help when I need them, things are generally well kept.
Whoever runs the promotions and pricing at corporate, though, should have to run the pricing fixes all day for the rest of their lives. 50% of the time the promo doesn’t ring in, or pricing comes up wrong. 80% of the time, the price is some internet/physical coupon, that I am convinced exists only in the mind of the mentally unwell running these systems. Why are we trying to get one over on customers for $2? Did I get hired on the audit team and no one told me? If not, why am I checking my receipt every time I leave to make sure I am not paying $12 for some apples because the sale didn’t ring up, and you hid an “ea” in print for amoebas? The pricing is already set higher than buying and delivery from Amazon. I literally go to the Walgreens, across the street, to avoid Safeway requiring my blood for $1 off a box of cereal.
While I’m piling on corporate, whoever sets the staffing hours allowance is a chode. Peak hours, you will have lines wrapping down aisles. Non-peak you might get 6 deep in line. Idk what your numbers look like to make these decisions, but there are several layers of middle management that must be trying to squeeze their floor workers for every ounce of KPIs. They could likewise not be employed, and not a soul in the world would be worse off.

This Safeway is pretty convenient and I shop here kinda often. The store seems clean most of the time and I can usually find what I need, plus the bakery and deli sections are good for quick stuff.Staff is generally friendly. Checkout lines can be a pain sometimes, especially after work, feels like it takes longer than it should. But overall, it’s a decent grocery spot for the area.

People often underestimate this store! I purchased fresh beef neckbones and oxtails for less than $10 a pound! Not to mention the fresh pastries baked daily! The customer service is always friendly and quick…which I love. If you love eating and cooking Mexican food you must stop here.

Bought prepared chicken leg meat for a taco night and several of the pieces had small bones and thick sinew that needed to be cut off before cooking!! 3 stars earned for the seasoning though, it was delicious and didn’t need salt!

The butcher meat does not look like it’s maintained at a proper temperature with heat from the lamps right over the meat. The glass doesn’t even feel cold when you touch it. I do not recommend you pick up your meats here any longer.

It’s a good store with a deli and bakery inside, it carries a lot more ethnic food than many other grocery stores, and the fruit and vegetables section is always bountiful.
They have plenty of staff that are always friendly and helpful, plus the store is located in a convenient area on the SE corner of Dunlap and 19th avenue.
The only thing keeping it away from earning 5 stars is the fact that there are not a lot of variations in products- such as yogurt frozen products, and the cost of items food and non- food alike.

I highly recommend this grocery store for its unbeatable prices on fresh produce, quality meats, and seafood. The produce section is vibrant and well-stocked, offering an impressive range of ethnic flavors, especially Latino American staples. One unique feature is the in-store restaurant where you can enjoy delicious Mexican food and dine in comfortably. Plus, the seafood department will cook or deep-fry your selection at no extra charge—just ask!
The store is clean, well-organized, and staffed with friendly employees. Despite being a 25–30 minute drive from my home, it’s well worth the effort. Specialty items like tamales, beef patties, and frozen treats make it a fun and flavorful shopping experience. There’s even a small shop inside where you can get your phone repaired or buy handmade jewelry.
Checkout options are convenient, offering both self-checkout and traditional cashier lanes. However, staples like eggs, milk, yogurt, juice, and soda tend to be more expensive than in other stores. Also, if you arrive late, carts may be limited, and lines can be long. To avoid crowds, visit early morning or midday during the week.
For fresh meats, produce, and cultural flavors, this store is top-tier. Plan an extra stop for pantry essentials like rice, paper towels, or drinks at other grocery chains for cheaper price.

I was there to pick up some food, the staff was extremely rude, they do not give any sort of direction. And half the time you’re waiting around for them as they’re staring at you doing nothing. although the food look delicious, all the cases look disgusting the countertop where you pay looks super dirty and had debris all over it. A lot of the cases of the food were in had fingerprints all over them. Definitely felt like I was intruding asking any of the staff for any help at all. Right before I was going to order the food I saw multiple staff members touch the same ladle, and not one of them wash their hands. This place does nothing as far as keeping things clean and safe for coronavirus.

I went to El Super at 10:00 PM to buy beef flap from the meat department, and the experience was terrible. Despite several employees walking around, no one helped me until 10:30. When the older man working finally came over, he was rude and didn’t seem to understand what I was asking for. I clearly asked for 5 pounds, but instead, he gave me 5 pieces. When I repeated myself, he just walked away and started talking to another employee, completely ignoring me.
To make things worse, the beef flap was advertised at $12.97/lb, but I was charged $13.97/lb. It feels like unless you speak Spanish, you don’t get proper service or the correct price that’s displayed. Overall, very unprofessional, false pricing and disappointing experience. NEVER coming back!

Terrible service. I was delivering for Instacart and seen they had ordered a cake, which was already on display. The lady working the bakery department was in a hurry, grabbed her personal food from the fridge where all the cakes were at, and paced by the sink checking if her phone was charged. I patiently waited, thinking she was clocked out and asked another clerk for help. When I came back, I noticed she gave another family their cake and waited for my turn to show her the cake I needed. She proceeds to yell at me about how I need to ask for help and not just stand there (mind you I thought she had clocked out I didn’t want to bother her) she yells at me “What do you want?? What do you need? Don’t you see I have to leave already!?” We then get into an interaction as she tells me the cake they ordered is no longer there and I need to pick another one. The cake is right in her face, but she continues to yell that there is none left and tells me to go to the front while she grabs her things and leaves. I personally haven’t shopped here in years for that same reason, if a company is going to provide programs like Instacart, don’t only teach the employees how it works, but also some common decency please. I hope that miserable lady finds peace.

I visited this store a few days ago, it was clean, and organized, and friendly employees. I especially wanted to thank Celia who works at the Starbucks in this store, for bringing me a cup of water when she overheard me talking to one of the Fry’s employees, on how hot that it was that day. The fact that she was paying attention to customers, and did a good deed out of kindness, without being asked to. This type of customer service will definitely make me come back to this location, thank you Celia!

This location is larger and tends to be very well stocked. I like the larger organic section as well. Staff has always been kind and helpful and the store has always been clean. Lines move quickly and their bonus 4x fuel points Fridays are helpful. Going in the mornings is always recommended as they are freshly stocked and items are plentiful.

Everything else about this store is awesome except, people who aren’t handicapped (their cars have no disabled plate or placard. And the three 20 something girlies who walked into the store from their shiny Tesla sure weren’t disabled). I like Tesla’s just not SOME of the entitled people who operate them.

Frustrating to come every week for fresh produce to find smashed fruit and rotten strawberries. Yesterday evening I came by to get some fruit and noticed a slim selection which does happen often from purchases or lack of product, however I just decided to settle on strawberries and many of the packages were smushed and molding. Granted berries mold fast especially unrefrigerated, however to miss the ONE moldy berry and have your new package ruined the next day is sad after sorting through ruined packs thinking you found the “one” that works.
I often find myself going through numerous packages here and not because I’m picky but because there’s that many consistencies of mold and smushed/smashed problems.
When I came last week I noticed a package that was moldy and awful, I sat it outside the section where it would be noticeable to customers and employees, just for the SAME pack to end up in the selection sometime before last night causing many others to mold… and to top it off that specific package looked so much worse – was hoping setting it aside would’ve helped.
I tossed half a pack of the huge berries, which usually are between $4-$6 if I’m not mistaken. Total waste of money and was “forced” to buy the bigger pack because all the small ones were moldy. I don’t mean light mold, I mean heavy MOLD.
The only RELIABLE fruit in my opinion besides bananas and apples are grapes, the oranges have the same issue. Oranges, blueberries and raspberries are always looking rough… even when being stocked “fresh” and the strawberries are a nightmare to look at regardless. I understand it’s the end of the season but that doesn’t mean quality control gets thrown out the window… I’m just disappointed.

I order and pick my food up and they are always very fast when I get there to bring my food out. Also they load it. I don’t even have to get out of my car. Very convenient!

Fry’s is Kroger only cleaner, all Fry’s store owned by Kroger and are deliberately being run down. Several store managers make every effort to keep their stores clean, safe and making a ship experience an easy experience.
This particular store is one of the good ones. Only problem is they artificial price increase across the board. Yet there are some prices that are easy on the pocket book and allow you fill your shelves to overflowing you just to take your time and look for the good deals that are there.

People often say that Whole Foods is very pricey and many items are, but if you take the time to look around, you will find all sorts of mark-downs and specials that bring the prices down to where you may be used to and even below that! I was able to get a package of croissants at 50% off and although they were not as fresh, I knew I wanted them slightly toasted anyway and they were perfect!
I was impressed with the spaciousness of the store and how well displayed everything was too. Plus, if you read the ingredients on their products, you will find that they are of a higher quality than you may be used to getting. For ex., the croissants had actual butter in them, and flavor and texture-wise it makes a difference.
I gathered together all sorts of items into a foldable cardboard container (yay, no styrofoam!) from the hot bar but I think the per pound rate should be capped at $10 since it’s not as if the items are made up fresh at time of order like in a restaurant, and all you can eat buffets can be found that are under $20. However, I did have nice selection and it was nice to have items from various cuisines so I had East Indian, Asian, and tasty meatloaf too. However, it was inconvenient to carry my meal and some purchases over to the self checkout and try to figure out the system, but a helpful associate came over since the 50% off item would not ring up with the discount–their markdowns need to have a new UPC code placed over the old one to avoid these problems.
The seating area is very pleasant inside or you can sit on the patio overlooking palm trees and mts. can be seen in the distance.
I also ordered a delicious matcha tea at the coffee and juice corner and it was good to see such pleasant interaction as the staff patiently answered many questions about the various fresh juice combinations that are available. I was surprised at the amt. of waste of celery bottoms though. Maybe these can be donated to a soup kitchen or the zoo….
Kudos for the sturdy cardboard straws! Thank you for continuing to consider Earth kindness!

I used to frequent the Whole Foods on Tatum and Shea before it relocated to Tatum and Cactus. This is one of the most beautiful WF I’ve been to across the US. It has a large selection of grocery and non food items. The salad bar offered many options as well as the Soup Bar. They have a coffee shop inside with a seating area. They also accept returns for Amazon items through a Kiosk at the front of the store or at the customer service area.
I highly recommend this location!

1 stars for the bakery
In person ordered strawberry shortcake, when came to pick up was the same cake I saw 2 days before on the shelf, with old strawberries and melted birthday sign
Asked the girl to replace the strawberries
At least when ordering in person make sure to bake a fresh cake for a special occasion
This message is for the manager and hope someone gets back to me!!!

Beautiful new Whole Foods. There is plenty of parking and a large dining area.
I would say this is one of the largest cheese sections I’ve seen in any Whole Foods. That said, the olive bar (no black olives ??) And the butcher shop (smaller selection of beef kabobs) seemed smaller than the Mayo Whole Foods.

I love this store and the people who get hired here. My favorite part of the store is the meat department where I am met with really smart and knowledgeable people with outstanding customer service skills. Those individuals’ names are Luis, Mario and Mikey. I think it is spelled that way.
I even forgot one of my steaks and very intelligent, courageous person not mentioned above came and gave me my steak. I mentioned I would come up with a new system.
The selection of meat is always 5 stars and are constantly looking for more options for the customer to choose from. I have nonverbal learning disorder and they are always accommodating and always help me if I need help.
If you have not tried this Market, I would try it ASAP it has some really good food and talented employees.

I used this store during my trip to Phoenix and found everything I needed. they got very good collection of items in the store. Fresh produce, good prices, good collection of beverages. Their Bakery is good, and items taste fresh. The staff is friendly and helpful. The store is maintained well and clean. The parking lot is good enough.

In my honest opinion the store where I go on 30th and Thomas needs to be revamped, and considering how high their prices are I really don’t think they would have much of a problem with that. It’s the smaller store so very often they may be out of items. I’m not one that likes to go early in the morning so by the end of the day it’s pretty much a crap shoot. It’s really a shame too because freeze used to be one of the best places to go shopping because of their deals. Now since the pandemic, prices of sky high and every time I go in they’ve gone up again. I tell you because of that I haven’t had a decent meal since the pandemic.

Chantil was extremely rude to me for no reason at all. I kindly asked her if the alcohol section was closed as I’ve never seen a gated off section in a grocery store before. She rudely reasoned “uh ya.. it closed at ten and there’s a sign right there that says that”
I looked at the sign and it said nothing about a time. I told her that and watched as she locked up the section and turned the sign around, there the times were on the other side of the sign, previously facing away so no one would be able to see. She could’ve just told me it closed at ten but she decided to be rude and give me a sassy answer for no reason. Everyone else was really nice.

Way to smash these in, lady! The woman handling reprints for price reductions this morning must’ve been having a rough start to her day, even though it was still early when I saw her. I said ‘good morning,’ but she completely ignored me. She was busy packing and retagging items, and even when I greeted her again, she just acted like I wasn’t there. I later saw her around the store applying price reductions to several items, and you could tell from her expression that her day wasn’t going well—even though it was still just the morning.

Great store. Shelves are well stocked, the aisles are clearly marked and are easy to navigate. Produce is fresh, deli department is helpful and knowledgeable. Beer and liquor section has lots of options and variety. The pharmacy is awesome with very nice staff. The store staff is knowledgeable and helpful, they actually know where things are and if not they will help you find what you’re looking for, security is also friendly. This is my go to store.

They have a parking garage with elevators which makes parking and getting your groceries to your vehicle easy. They also have motorized grocery carts with good accessibility. Very “fancy” environment. There is a Starbucks inside of the store also. And a very nice deli

7:30am and every single isle is blocked by employee’s or vendors with carts and boxes all over the place. It was IMPOSSIBLE to shop. I thought most places did that stuff overnight so they didn’t hinder people getting around each other. So I just went to Safeway instead.

The algorithm has asked me about the whole plaza here at 7th Street and McDowell. Okay…
I’ve been to the Safeway, of course, but also to Subway, and the H&R Block. I used to go to Chicos Tacos all the time, but they closed down years ago. There’s an ATM-only branch of Bank of America, and some other places I haven’t gone into. Oh, and it seems to be a WayMo hub.
It’s all fine in the daytime. The businesses that are brave enough to stay open on this corner seem to be doing well enough, but as a location, it can’t earn more than 3 stars because it’s freaking dangerous. There are ALWAYS drug addicts, winos, and beggars here, day and night. They’ll block your way. They’ll follow you into Safeway. They yell and scream and take swings at the voices in their heads. It’s downright scary. I will drive all the way across town to shop in a safe place if I need anything after dark.

The Deli staff are very helpful and polite. I did not feel welcome at this store on any of my visits there when I asked employees for location of an item most of the pointed me in a direction rather than showing me where the item was located. Customer service is still needed and this store lacks it greatly. Their treatment of customers that they profile as homeless is downright degrading, I none of them are never treated the wau they treat them. When someone is hurting you lift them up.

It’s decent, but what angers me the most this evening is that my son made a purchase at the self checkout machine, and then wanted to break a $10 bill. There was no one at the register closest to that machine, so he went to a cashier who was at a register, who said she wouldn’t open the drawer to give him money because he didn’t make a purchase at that specific register. His receipt validating the purchase made at a machine in that very same store didn’t matter. It’s not like he was trying to break $50, or even $100. It was just a $10 bill. Pretty ridiculous, if you ask me.
