I had a wonderful experience here at Shear Paradise and I’m so grateful I’ve found this salon. First off, all of the women in here are so warm and welcoming. Cathy at reception was a pleasure to speak with and had such sweet, warm energy. I had my actual service with Carlon for the first time.

As a girlie with textured hair, it’s been difficult to find someone that not only does hair, but can provide the professional advice and long term care results. Moving from Georgia to Arizona, it’s a little different culturally so I’ve had some insecurities about my kinky, curly black hair but Cathy made me feel confident about it and let me know the women in this salon are all educated and well versed in textured hair. That meant a lot to me!

Carlon and I discussed hair health and history with previous stylists and my at-home hair care before we even got started on services. I’ve had consults but never anything that in depth. Immediate green flag. I spent years growing my hair out and unfortunately lost half of it last November. It’s been hard trying to confidently wear my hair. After my services with Carlon, I walked out literally feeling like I had won the lottery. We did a scalp cleanse, a blow dry and press, brow wax, and a hair cut. I left with the cutest, curly bob. Even after tipping, I didn’t feel like I was breaking the bank just for quality service and care. When I tell you, I have never received so many compliments on my hair before. I’ve done extensions, braids, etc. For me to feel so confident and beautiful in my natural hair for the first time in a long time, felt SO good.

If you’re tired of the Instagram stylists trying to make a quick buck on your hair and looking for a space where the women actually welcome you and provide excellent service, this is the place!!

Shear Paradise is truly a hidden gem! I absolutely love tanning here — the beds are always clean, powerful, and ready to go. The salon has such a welcoming and relaxing vibe, and the staff is super friendly and professional. They always make me feel comfortable and taken care of. Shear paradise is one of the best salons I have ever been to. I originally found this place for tanning, but learned that this place offers almost every service you could think of; tanning, hair, nails, face, skin, teeth, etc. Their prices are very affordable which is something that was important to me, and the service is amazing. Whether it’s the owner, Kathy, greeting you at the front desk, or one of the other girls popping behind to help, you immediately feel welcomed and cared for as soon as you walk through the door. I have been going back continuously for a few months now and half of it is due to how comfortable they have made me feel, like I am part of the family. I highly recommend this salon to anyone and everyone looking for a place with professionals that put you as their top priority. I have never had a bad experience and am so happy that I found this place. Honorable mention to Haillee B, one of the hairstylists. She was working the front desk for awhile when I first started going, but easily became my favorite face to see when I walked in. She is so sweet and down-to-earth, and I will be getting my hair styled by her in the future solely because of how friendly she is.

Elizabeth has been doing my hair for almost 8 years now. She has always given me what I ask for. She’s very talented and can do vivid fashion colors & beautiful natural colors. When she left her last salon I followed her here. I would never choose a different stylist no matter how far the drive. She’s funny and easy to talk to. It’s always been a good experience. I highly recommend her. As for the salon itself it is a warm and welcoming environment. Kathy and the other girls at the front desk are kind and have the great ability to multitask. This is a family owned business and it shows in the way they have chosen their staff and how they treat their customers. I also got my eyebrows micro-bladed here about 7 years ago and I still get compliments on them. If you are looking for a full service salon and would like to support a small business I recommend Shear Paradise Salon.

I am SO in love with this place. First walking in the door they have a huge wall of product for everything, they have beautiful jewelry (rings, necklaces and earrings), some of which is hypoallergenic. Then you’ll notice that everybody there speaks English!! Hallelujah lol. I went in for a pedicure, a cut and dye and an eyebrow waxing. I was not at all impressed with the wax because I still had to go home and do a bunch of tweezing after three corrections but the hair and nails was phenomenal!! My hair stylist was Pauline and my nail expert was Michealene. They are so friendly, personable and communicative I absolutely LOVED my visit. Normally I don’t do anything with my fingernails (very soft) but they said they can do french tip gels so I made an appt with Pauline for that the next day and I was not disappointed at all. She even made the observation that I love sparkles from the previous day and asked if I wanted some on my nails! And Michealene did an even better job on my hair than what I showed her I wanted from the pics. I originally wanted a gold bronze color but they didn’t have the particular shade I wanted so I changed my mind last minute to red. She did such an amazing job. I’ve never been impressed with a cut before but I absolutely was this time! I wish I could give 10stars. This place is amazing, highly recommend. P.S. Michealene was having HER hair done by one of the other stylists (bottom half rainbow) and oh wow was it gorgeous!! P.S.S I got those earrings from the shop!

I searched for a beauty salon near me and found this place to have great reviews so I thought I’d take a chance. The location is not the best, but the salon itself is welcoming. They have plenty of beauticians and they take time and listen to how we want our hair cut. Mayra was my girl and she was wonderful. She did a wonderful butterfly cut and I couldn’t be more satisfied with the outcome. Although, it was full they took me in pretty quick. I plan on returning, would recommend.

Claudia out does herself every time on my hair, this time we did all over color, cut 4″ length and layers, style shine and it’s beautiful and healthy and holds for a week. I love it and get tons of compliments, I highly recommend Claudia to all she’ll capture anything you desire.

The team is a small, but a quality one. Seems they’ve gone through a re-phase and are working from the ground up, building their reputation as a shop. All around their service was great. I just had the most amazing experience at Alexander’s Beauty Salon that exceeded my expectations! Honestly, I was a bit nervous about getting a haircut since my hair was really in rough shape—super dry and lifeless. But from the moment I walked into the salon, I was greeted by such a warm and inviting atmosphere that instantly made me feel more relaxed.

I have to give a special shout-out to Nayeli, the stylist who worked with me. She was fantastic! Nayeli took the time to listen to my concerns and understand my hair, which was such a relief. She reassured me that a fresh cut could bring my hair back to life and help it grow healthier. As she styled my hair, all my worries melted away, and I started to get excited about how I’d look.

And let me tell you, the result was gorgeous! I walked out feeling so confident and rejuvenated. I can’t recommend Alexander’s enough! I highly recommend Nayeli

Oscar did my hair and I showed him a picture of an 80s haircut that was shoulder length and he refused to cut it the length I wanted. I allowed it and I know that was my mistake because I should’ve insisted. The haircut originally looked good however after washing it and looking it at it without being blow dried it looked really choppy. I had to cut it the length I wanted on my own. I will def not be going back

I walked into Luxe Hair Salon Phoenix without an appointment and was welcomed immediately. The service was excellent, and Jose did an outstanding job listening to my requests. He suggested a color that suits me perfectly. I’m thrilled with the results, especially considering my past experiences with haircuts. Jose truly understood what I wanted and made it happen. I’ve already booked my retouch!

This place was amazing, as soon as you walk in you’re greeted by two sweet girls and they were super nice and supportive. The haircut I got was a curly layered cut with curtains bangs and she was super quick and I love the cut. Over all super great experience and super nice people. 10/10 would go again.

I went to Stephanie today to have a bad haircut (from a different salon) fixed. Stephanie was an absolute joy. She worked me in for same day service and really took the time to listen and learn what I was looking for. She kept communication open the entire time to ensure I was satisfied with my cut. I had such a great experience at Luxe Hair Salon in Phoenix! The salon is clean, modern, and has a really friendly vibe. I saw José for a balayage and haircut—he listened to exactly what I wanted and gave me the perfect soft, blended color that looks so natural. Makalya is not only a hair stylist but an ARTIST. She fixed me up so nicely I felt like a rockstar, its my favorite haircut ive every received ever. Such a fun salon with wonderful people.

I found perfection with Donna! This was a very important cut for me…basically my 1st cut. I battled breast cancer so I did my time as a bald beauty. My new hair that I’d been growing out for months…and new to me curly (chemo curls).
I had my inspiration photos of vintage pin-up cuts to show her. I don’t know what to do with short curly hair ( I’d always had long straight hair) but she knew! We trimmed the right places to be styling and stay fresh and healthy, but also growing it out. I know I can count on her throughout my new hair journey.

I have been going to Holly for years and couldn’t be happier. She has amazing skills and talent with hair color and style, Holly takes her time for perfection. The Wilds Salon 24 is a nice experience. The stylists there are all very nice, and the front desk person is always accommodating, and the conversations are fun with laughs. The new look inside is very pleasing to the eye. It’s a good place to go and enjoy getting your hair or whatever you’re there for to get done up and fixed.

I’m new to Phoenix and spent months searching for the right stylist. After reading countless reviews, I finally decided on Alejandro at Salon D’Shayn and I’m so glad I did.
From the very first consultation, Alejandro came across as both personalbe and highly knowledgable about hair coloring. He has now colored ny hair three times , and each time he has made excellent suggestions for blening shades that look natural and flattering. What impressed me most is taht he was completely accomodating when I explained that, due to allergies, I hve to use specific product that most salons refuse to work with. Instead of resiting, he was professional and supportive, which made me feel comfortable and cared for.
On top of that, his haircuts are extremely flattering and he has a great eye for detail.

I couldn’t recommend him more highly!

D’Shayn’s services are excellent. Every one is so professional and kind. The vibe and environment are welcoming, hospitable, and they really cater to the clients. I have received several haircuts and hair styling and recently a hair coloring job and everything has been A+++ quality.
If you are looking for a grade A haircut, hairstyle and hair coloring, I fully recommend Tanya Lee. I went to get my hair colored for the first time, and she helped me pick the perfect color, was very kind and professional and did an outstanding job. I am so happy and so grateful for this place! It is a God-send of a beauty salon!

Vanessa was rough with my hair, and didn’t even give me what I requested. My hair came out completely different from what I was imagining. Asked for ombré, and I was charged $600 for hair streaks. I could have dyed my hair like that at home for $10 or less, speaking from experience said I already had red hair streaks and was trying to go for something different. I wanted blonde and light pink, and got vibrant magenta highlights instead. Highly disappointed especially for the price.. stylists should be expected to do their job instead of blaming customers for not complaining, by the way. And they seem to forget that this is not their hair, so they should abide by the customer’s request instead of making it their own vision.

Edit: Stylists are supposed to collaborate with clients—not just do what they think is “best” and justify it after. You framed it like I had “agreed” to the pivot, but based on everything I have written and my own experience, I felt pressured and was not given alternatives. Consent under pressure isn’t real consent—especially when you’re paying $600.defending your stylist for taking over the hair color is unprofessional and not in favor of the customer’s wishes. No one told me about this “policy” and I was going out of town. I was picturing something completely different and like I said, not everyone knows how to approach issues with their hair color when it’s already far too late. I have found someone to dye my color the way I want since then. And yes, my hair is very healthy, thank you for your concern. A professional stylist would not dye your hair a completely different color and then say it would fade to the color you want. That’s not how coloring hair works. it’s a cover-up for not achieving the goal in the first place. They would get it as close as possible, and what came out was completely different. I used to do red streaks at home and it looked almost the same. I didn’t know the extent of her professionalism, however. Or yours, for this matter. If you can’t handle negative reviews and make your entire Google search a condescending smear campaign against one customer out of thousands, you shouldn’t be in business. Being repeatedly told “I’ve been doing this for so and so years” doesn’t equal the integrity of the stylist. It wasn’t what I was looking for and I have every right to my freedom of speech. Your experience with someone you know well, doesn’t equate to my negative one. Adding my photo for updated work compared to the photo from 6 years ago is at least an upgrade , but it does not invalidate any points I made or dismantle them. However — it is weirdly violating privacy without my consent especially with my name being posted, again without permission. It’s trying to reframe the situation in your favor defensively and silence an unhappy customer, and it’s not a good look. Your request to make this “private” was dismantled the moment you decided to take petty (illegal) action to offload your insecurity to one customer out of thousands of ones who are actually happy with your work. It actually loses your credibility as a salon. Best of luck, Shayn.

The facials with Patty are fabulous and Sabrina is amazing.

Everytime I walk-in to the salon I get greeted, that lifts up my mood. When I have questions about my hair or products, they give me good advice or something that I want to hear. The friendly staff is on top of things with good customer service. I admire the hospitality @ Perry Monge.

Worst decision of my life. This place came highly reccomended from a friend of a friend. So I know they do good work as her hair is so perfect.

Jen is awful. Idk if it’s the conversation of talking about movies where she needs to mention her husband likes the same stuff as me (okay?), but she bleached my hair to where the color is skunk patterned.

I don’t understand how I went there 2 or 3 times for a consultation and she was constantly suggesting something else.

She pushed me to bleach my hair without telling me it’s bleach. She very cheekily said ‘does it burn?? people say it burns lol’ yeah bc it’s bleach and you’re telling me it’s a ‘special color’.

The hair washer person also called Jen over to show her how my hair is virgin at top and dyed (which I mentioned!!!!!!!!!!!!!) and idk how they smile and let you leave looking bad.

The lack of professionalism here is awful. I spent a lot of money and was a good client; I don’t deserve to walk out looking awful.

to make it worse. the owner, the dude, yelled and screamed at me that they don’t need me as a client and offered a full refund instead of fixing my hair.

awful insecure people and owners. will never come back and I’ll definitely spread the word how weird this place is.

I had the best experience at Perry Monge Washington location. I typically don’t go to a full service salon, so I didn’t know what to expect. From the moment I walked through the door I was pampered. I received a quick massage, followed by a high end hair wash.

It was my first time coming in but honestly amazing experience. I had red tint in my hair for the longest time and went to multiple salons where they simply told me no to blonde. I came into the salon and they immediately got me right. Even offered little snacks and drinks. I loved it!

I paid $365 for highlights. This was something I was so excited about to finally do something nice for myself but it didn’t come out how I wanted it. They don’t give refunds and they only give you one week to fix it. They were able to “fix” it by putting root shadow but it still wasn’t what I asked for. I definitely won’t be coming here again. I would be happy to pay more for a service I was happy with if necessary. I wasn’t going to make a review but I lost $365 so this is all I can do.

I have been a returning customer because of the great customer service I receive with my boys! Kevin always hooks my son up and makes him feel so fresh and so clean! Don Rafa does my younger son’s hair who happens to have autism and he is always so patient never forces him and walks me through everything he does! I highly recommend this place!

I asked for certain curls for my hairstyle. She showed me the look after she sprayed my hair. When I told her I wanted more curls as the picture I had originally showed her, she said she couldn’t because she had sprayed it. I was charged $20 more than I was quoted day before. I was so upset.They didn’t honor original price given and not happy with hairstyle. Not going there again! My sister fixed my hair at home!

I can only give 4 stars for now due to a bad experience my first time, and only have gone back once since that time. The 2nd trip was an a great experience and definitely provided me with a knowledgeable and skilled guy who I could highly relate to. Since he was a man, it made the style I wanted much easier to obtain. Look forward to going back for a 3rd time now. Will update after then, hopefully to give it 5 stars. The service at the front desk is always great also. Definitely recommended.

I’ve been getting my hair Full Highlighted by Nathan (Nate) as I am a nature dark brunette who love to be an icy blonde for about the last year! Let me tell you he is a magic worker! I couldn’t imagine going to anyone else now with how incredible he is! He always sees the vision I want and delivers exactly what I’m looking for and he’s quick! I always feel as though my hair looks incredible when I leave and I absolutely love talking to him while I am getting my hair done! As much as I want to hide him and keep an incredible colorist and stylist to myself, he is too incredible to not share! I highly recommend going to Nate to get your hair done!!

I came across Salon RO5 in a Yelp search after moving to Phoenix from Chicago and in desperate need of refreshed color after quarantine. I walked in without expectations, as it had been months and I was just happy to get my hair colored, but walked out feeling like my best self and with a new friend in Jo! From the second I sat down in her chair, Jo made me feel comfortable and safe with the salon’s COVID precautions, and her questions and conversation made me feel like I had made a new friend in town. I have since returned many times, and always look forward to not only the improved outcome of the color and cut, but to catching up with a friend. The salon itself is intimate and the chairs are very well spaced apart, with the front desk staff taking temperature checks at the door. If you’re new to town or just looking for a new stylist that will really understand what you’re looking to achieve, look no further!

I’ve been waiting patiently to get in with Melissa for a haircut and I finally scored today. Probably the best haircut & blowout I’ve had in years – she knows exactly what she’s doing and is confident in her results!! Will definitely be back – she transformed me.

I was charged $55 for a wash, cut and style. I have not gotten my hair colored here but might try one day. The parking lot SUCKS. Tight spaces, people park outside the lines, it’s hard to get in and out of the very small plaza. It’s on a busy street corner… there are potholes in the parking lot….But the hair cut was worth it, so I will return again.

Came here to say that the barber named Johnny is amazing, he was fast, but very much takes pride in his work and was friendly! I unfortunately do not speak Spanish fluently so I could not tell him myself. However, the pricing they display is inconsistent with what they charge. Sign will say $25+ but they will always charge $30, that should just be the set price cause I would’ve preferred to pay $25 as the sign says.

Went here to do my hair, hair dresser did a horrible job, Miguel said he would fix it once it grew out a little.. he never kept his word ! Moral of the story don’t go here! They will mess your hair up and not care !!! And over priced!!

I usually don’t like trying new hair cut places but I definitely recommend this place for kid’s haircuts it’s extremely affordable compared to other places & the lady who did my son’s hair did a great job will definitely be coming back here

I said I’d be back and I have now twice since my last review! I can’t stay away, I had a different stylist each time but every single person consistently produced results and exceeds expectations. Today, Janette cut my hair. First of all, she was so pretty, her hair and makeup were flawless, I knew I was in good hands. She did a fantastic job I’m over the moon about these fresh layer. I love how knowledgeable and attentive to detail she was!

2023: After 5 years living in az, search after search for “az long layers,” I FINALLY got the PERFECT 6 mo refresh cut! All of the stylists were beautiful and welcoming, loved the interior design and cleanliness. Especially appreciated Precious’ vibe and style, she got my hair RIGHT, explained the products and techniques, and the music and conversation while she worked was chill and relaxing.

Setting up the appointment and using the website was super easy. I received a text about suggested parking area on the morning of, which I found communicative and informative. Overall, happy with the experience!
