I have frequented this casino for years. There is always a security guard that greets everyone, when they walk in. The ones we have met, always seem to strike a convo with the Hubs. For some reason, they always know he is Military, and they have a brief talk about which Branch they Served. Always cool to hear their stories and background!

I love that they still offer refreshments, free of charge, and have various self-serve stations, throughout the floor. Now, that’s a plus in my book! The casino that’s a little further out, needs to comply with this. …My fav slot machine is the ‘Cash Money.’ I was on a lucky streak, and won $10K and $2K, and a little here and there! Never did I get my pic taken though.

Their DD Rewards Program, is pretty awesome. You get rewarded with ‘free play,’ and ‘comped meals,’ every week. You also get free gifts on Mondays or Tuesdays. They always have something fun going on! …Oh, and they also changed out their eateries. They no longer have the bakery with their beautiful displayed baked goods or gelato. They now have Auntie Anne’s and Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream. Change is always good!

I forgot to take pictures. I won a little spending money! However, they do have sesame balls, which are my fav, and they are delish! Darn, one rib left. Come visit here. It is loads of fun for everyone!

Brunch was spectacular!!! It is an extraordinary display of a true chef’s brunch. I was invited by a friend and look forward to going regularly. The variety, display and taste of the food was decadent. I didn’t photograph everything so not to spoil your experience. It is definitely a note worthy experience.

Restaurants well most are closed Monday and Tuesday and whats open is like small quick eat places food court that needs some help. Sandwiches were stale they are made the day before, mexican food is sitting out in food warmer looked old and crusted, and pizza had a top glaze of old oil sitting on top.. If this casino would add some love to their eatery then they would be top notch.

Sportsbook staff was very nice to talk to and informative. Answered all questions I had honestly. Pit boss at table games had a conversation about the craps table, again honest and open about their policies. I’m here for sports and craps only and had a great experience. Place was nice and clean as well. Sports book offers self kiosks which are convenient for unconventional betting

Very well maintained spotless as far as cleaning goes Stafford reasonably friendly as far as that goes except for one or two dealers at aren’t that friendly. The chef makes great food. Prizes scene obtainable. The facility itself is immaculate for locking a hotel if you really want to experience they need to expand their hotel. Otherwise recommended.

Overall a great experience. The room was very clean and modern. The restaurants have great food and the servers are amazing, especially this one bartender who made us the best drinks. Easy check in and check out process. Using the text functionality to ask questions and get things sent to our room was fantastic. At the end of our stay, the system went down so we couldn’t visit the casino on our last day but overall it was great. Highly recommend.

This place is great. The front desk was EXTREMELY accommodating. The customer service was the type of customer service you hope for when traveling. The front desk lady Ivy was so professional and so nice. Answered any and all questions I had, and made us really feel at home for the weekend. The Gila Resort was awesome. Husband and I stayed after a 4 day hiking trip and it was just what we needed to recoup. There are many slot machines to play. The rooms are spacious and comfy. The pool is huge with a full bar. Plenty of parking.

The accommodations were very comfortable and clean! The concert venue was excellent! The food choices were great! We especially enjoyed Shula steak house. The views from the rooftop were spectacular!! Definitely recommend this hotel and resort and look forward to vacationing here again!

The games are rigged here. The bowls were all over full when sat down & put $20 bucks in machine. $200 bucks later the middle bowl was so over full yet never hit!! They have machines on never pay & very little pay if at all!! Places is a total ripoff!! Go anywhere but there if you want a chance at winning at all. Place sucks!!!

Great food and excellent service the server did a great job of making sure the plates were off the table when they were done and they had helpers as well. Everything was exactly as I expected to be and the seafood soup or whatever it was was delicious

Impressive First Visit!
It was our first time at the casino today and we were truly impressed. While the casino is on the smaller side, it’s very well laid out and easy to navigate. There were plenty of friendly staff members around, all eager to help and make sure you’re having a great time.

We played some slots and joined the matinee Bingo. The Bingo staff, from the cage to the floor, were incredibly helpful, upbeat, and full of great energy. Their enthusiasm really added to the experience.

We also appreciated the little details: free bottled water, spotless restrooms, and the amazing smell of the food! Parking was easy and stress-free too.

We had such a great time that we’re already planning our next visit. If you’re considering going — do it! You’ll have a blast.

We (teen granddaughter and I) went for the buffet and had a great visit and meal. Pricey, but good. Table service (drinks, refills, and removing used items) was quite efficient.

The grill was delicious super fresh grilled right in front of you. Super hot delicious French fries. Did you know that french fries are only good for about 7 minutes after their deep fried? Staff were friendly; the only downside was I couldn’t find my favorite slot machine. By the way if you sign up for their players club you get $25 free on the slots which is actually a lot more than most casinos will offer you mostly offer $5 to $10.

I had a great time the place is really nice no cigarette smoke I hit a bunch of bonuses. I was given a free bingo game….bingo is fun but if you are there to gamble on slots or tables and don’t have a lot of time don’t get caught up in bingo it takes hours to finish the main games don’t get me wrong it was super fun but was kinda wishing I didn’t buy the extra games only because I didn’t have a bunch of time to be there

Easy wins if you bet big. It wasn’t terribly busy either which made it more comfortable.

There are a lot of slot machines here and honestly it was a bit too much for the small building. Too much energy and noise in a tight space. The restaurant we ate at had the most fantastic server we’ve had in a long time. I believe his name was Thoma. Excellent service and the food was also delicious. We would go back for just the the restaurant experience!

We had a very enjoyable and relaxing stay. My only concern is that we won’t be able to enjoy an other stay for a very long time. When the room was comped we had plenty of money to spend in the casino. What with now having to pay for the room even with a 20% discount there is no way we can avail ourselves of you your lovely property. Rooms were clean, casino is small, only a few tables. I dont enjoy the computer games. We did enjoy the Thursday night prime rib. Nice place to stay if you have business in the area. I like stay in casinos in Phoenix because it’s too hot to go outside.

I liked the many different slots the casino had. I would come back again to play a few that I didn’t get to explore. I also loved the Cafe area…I ate for free using my Rewards card. The staff were very helpful and their suggestions were helpful. I didn’t know about the rewards comp points that the Cafe staff asked if I wanted to use it. I was ready to pay $$, until my rewards card covered it. Thanks! My winnings evened out, but I had a lot of fun. I will be back!

All the people are very pleasant and helpful. The service with water and sodas is plentiful and that helps so you don’t have to get up and leave you soon. I like being able to ask her assistance right from the machines without having to get up. Some of the people in their gambling were either having a bad day or something because I ran into a couple of very grumpy patrons but the experience overall was good

I love to play bingo with friends but everyone we go we are told to talk quietly and we are already whispering to each other. I would think you’d be able to chat with the person you’re there with, it’s not a library. Very annoying! Takes the fun out of a good time out.

Harrah’s in Maricopa is a really cool unique place!
Our favorite amenity so far has been the pool!
We reserved a pool side gazebo and it’s been amazing. Watching football in the shade, misters keeping us cool and amazing service bringing us food & drinks. The pool is super nice! We love the swim up bar and how one side is shallow (kid friendly) and the other side is deeper for adults.

Hotel room was very nice. Check in was relatively smooth.
One complaint that I had was I had to pay $35 to check in 1 1/2 hours early. Room was already ready to use, no extra work for anyone. My other complaint was that I was not able to use a luggage trolly because they have attendants that want to carry your luggage, for a price.

I was having truck trouble (never buy a diesel the DEF is a joke of a system and is poorly designed it throttles you back to 5mph when it “thinks” there’s no DEF in it even where there is) so I detoured off I-8 / I-10 toward Phoenix. I drove by the hotel and casino and it was like a wonderful mirage! Got the room for about $99 N and it was a great room! King bed, shower that actually sprays you, lots of hot water, clean, AC worked, tv had good channel selection. Front desk staff was excellent as well. I parked in the oversized lot in back which was difficult to find a way in. One of the employees asked me if I wanted a ride to the front – Chris who works in sports book. What a gentleman. Now I’m trying out the restaurants. Oak & Fork Italian cuisine. So far so good

Customer service is horrible……. you have people at the card center the reward center talk down to you like you’re trying to pull something over their eyes to get a piece of silverware set. That’s gonna rust the first time you wash it oh my God try to get a drink in the casino by the time you actually get the drink you could be through $150 on that slot machine you’re sitting at they used to have fountain drinks there where you could go up to the fountain and fill your cup and you didn’t have to wait for 12 hours to get a bottle of water but you know what they had to take it out because people were coming with big cups and taking free soda and free coffee creamer home The poor casino wasn’t making no money they weren’t. They were losing money because of the people with bad intentions.

This is hands down the worst hotel experience I’ve had by far in my entire life. I don’t ever leave reviews but that’s how poor this place is. The staff is horrible. Asked to move my car when arriving to check in by security. No help with our bags. Total waste of money staying at this establishment.

My fiance and I traveled from Alaska to Phoenix to visit family and were expecting to stay at AK chin for our whole trip because it was close to our families home. We only booked it for one night so we can get a feel of the place before booked our entire trip there considering there are many casino resorts in the area. When We arrived to the hotel and there was no valet or anyone to help us with our luggage. Once we checked in and got to our room we wanted a mountain side view so we went to front desk to get a different room with the view we wanted. The clerk at the desk had no problem switching rooms for us but we left our bags in the previous room we checked into when we first arrived. One of the staff members with super awkward energy escorted us to the original room we checked into and could not open the door with his key, he radioed another associate to come and they could not open the door to the room either. They expressed to us they were going to get a key to open the door from the front door desk, we waited at the room for someone to come back with the key to get our bags but after waiting 30 minutes, no one had come back. We than walked to the front desk ourselves and the gentleman that was supposed to return was the behind the front desk counter and said “oh my apologies, I forgot what room you guys were waiting at” and laughed in our face with the rest of staff. At this point an hour and some change has gone by and we have still not checked fully in to a room we’re wanting. He than escorts us back up to the original room they gave us at check in, we grab our things, he than escorts us to the elevator after we expressed we are good to go from here. I hit the down button on the elevator for the staff member to go back down to the lobby to go about his business while we go to our room, he ignores the down elevator and gets on the up elevator with my finance and I to our new room after we expressed we were good to go to get to other room. Very intrusive and very uncomfortable on his part. Eventually we get into the other room with the Mountain View wanted but it was still the same side of the hotel showing the parking lot so all that just to have the same view. What a waste of time and money. We called the front desk to ask for compensation for all the confusion, waiting and poor service only thing that was offered was a one hour later checkout. Poor communication between staff, poor customer service when arriving to the hotel is the reason for the 1 star.

Beautiful hotel!!!! My family and I stayed during our visit in Arizona. Im not much of a gambler but my aunt and uncle are. I loved the room! It was beautifully decorated and the shower!!! (Forgive me but after a 19 hour drive the room was a slice of heaven) We really enjoyed the pool area. We spent a lot if time there and the swim up bar was an awesome treat. Will definitely book again when we visit AZ.

Very nice casino very friendly staff very clean and visually pleasing was able to get a sign on bonus for creating a player account. Very very busy on fight night decently priced drinks. They offer complementary valet overall I enjoyed our day at the casino.

Received comp room for Wild Horse Pass. Usually book for Sunday as small staycation, use the pool, eat dinner, and gamble. One star removed for charging resort fee… other casino resorts visited usually waive that for comp nights. Complimentary bottled waters and fairly quick check in. Parking is uncovered. Long walk from parking to registration. First visit the family pool was closed and all the kids were at the serenity pool… it was crowded. Second visit there was separation and it was much nicer at the serenity pool. The hot tub is not that warm or having working jets. I wasn’t able to get bar service for what reason i don’t know i walked over to the bar myself. The room was cozy and clean, refrigerator worked well. Excellent snack options and coffee maker. Casino is as expected and has some of my favorite games. Poker available. Dined at pizza place, fat burger, and steak house. Actually for the cost the food was just ok for steak house but the views are impressive. Fast food as expected. Overall 4 star. Would I visit again, yes. Do i recommend, yes.

I absolutely love this casino. The staff were very pleasant in assisted me as i got lost and a staff brought me to the Aroma breakfast cafe and the staff at the Aroma cafe was very Pleasant and I must say the breakfast burrito was the absolute best that I have ever tasted. We live in Tucson, and I had to go for a dental visit and stopped by the casino for breakfast. I was very, very pleasantly surprised. If you haven’t tried the egg and bacon breakfast burrito, It’s a must. Thank you, Gila River, for making me feel welcome!!!!!!!!

I will never visit this casino again .. since I was miss lead into thinking that they actually had huff and even More Puff grand slot machine . By staff member .. who handles the slots..

We had an awesome time here. It was so much fun. There was a lot of great machines and it was so much bigger than I would’ve thought it would be and it was really a fun time. We did not walk away as winners.

This hotel casino and resort conference center was a short drive from the airport.
Checkin was simple online then pick up room key at the desk. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Housekeeping staff was attentive. The conference center had everything you would need in one stop. Pool with swim up bar and an area for adults only. Casino is attached and tables or slots for any type of gambler. Many resultants 6-7 options with options for any picky eater.

Been coming to this casino since 2008 and I’ve always found the place to be pretty nice and clean non-smoking which is definitely a big one as well. The game’s here tend to actually pay out decent amounts and make you feel like you’re winning something even if it’s little to nothing at least they’re paying something far far better than the ones in the West Valley

This poker room is so well run, spacious, and games galore. High hands for Omaha games and holdem. Food is great, and the dealers are solid.

I have played here 2x since it opened and havent been overly impressed. The podium staff were nice, and I noticed both times this place wasn’t that busy. They spread a variety of mid to higher level games, but the old room had a lot more action from my previous visits. Their current high hand promotions are about what Lonne Butte poker offers, but requires $30 in the pot with both cars playing. Butte is only $20, but Arena is every 20 minutes the last time I played, so good trade I guess. The poker dealers didn’t seem overly enthused to be there both times I played, but they kept things at the table moving pretty quickly. Good job!

I won’t go out of my way to come back, but very interested to see their poker tournament schedule, and see if it matches the good number of events, and turnouts, they had at the old Arena location. Only other downside, it is a far walk from the covered parking, located on the south end of the property.

Staff could use some customer service skills to make this place more welcoming to all players, not just the regulars.

For all the hype and long awaited reopening of this poker, did not live up to the hype. On a scale from 1-10, it is about a 6.

Checking into a table is as smooth as using a kiosk and choosing your game/stakes. You will need a players card to do this on your own, otherwise one of the helpful staff will check you in. The players card will also make you eligible for the high hand prize.

Overall, a great experience and looking forward to playing here again!

Non smoking Casino. This Casino is not only clean but it’s very bright inside. It’s not dark and gloomy like others. It smells fresh. The staff is amazing. Michele was very polite and knew the history on the Casino. She shared great information about when is was built.

Pretty cool place. The staff is always super nice and friendly. It’s definitely always clean! I like the fact that they announce jackpot winners every 30 minutes or so. I just wish there was more food options or some thing that was always open like pizza. Gambling makes you hungry! Another great bonus is the free drink station, especially when I go in the morning and just need a little coffee to get me started!

Santan, Mountain Casino, one of my favorite HOT local destinations. Many fun and wonderful slot games which award MORE hand pay JACKPOTS along with it’s sister Casinos than any other non-affiliated ones. The kick backs from the players club are top-tier especially when you’re an Invitational card holder, which before this year was unheard of to me. I would highly recommend to everyone who ENJOYS having a good time in an invigorating atmosphere that is close to home. You too could be 30 minutes from winning a pocket full of CASH!!!

They recognize me by name, make me feel welcome, and provide excellent drink service. That personal touch has always stood out to me, and it’s one of the main reasons I’ve continued coming here over the years.
That being said, I’ve recently noticed some issues that I feel are worth mentioning. I usually stop by on weekdays (especially Tuesdays) since weekends can be very busy with newer players. I treat the experience as entertainment—much like watching a movie in a luxury setting—and I understand that losses are part of the game. However, during my most recent visits, the payout experience has been concerning. For example, on a Tuesday I lost more than 30 hands in a row at the same table with the same dealer (Jenny/Chris), even while varying my bets from $10 up to $450. Despite playing strategies I’ve relied on for years, the results didn’t feel consistent with the usual odds of the games. I also noticed that many other players around me were experiencing heavy losses, which made it feel like the system itself was difficult to beat rather than the usual fair risk of play.
Additionally, I observed that the floor managers weren’t always updating or tracking bets accurately. This adds to the feeling of frustration when paired with unusual losing streaks. For someone like me, who only plays a few times a week to unwind while my wife (who also enjoys playing) socializes, it’s discouraging to lose not just money but also confidence in the fairness of the games.
I’m sharing this because I want this casino to thrive—I’ve supported it since the beginning and encouraged others to visit. But lately, I’ve noticed friends and regulars choosing to stay away due to similar concerns. Even some employees have mentioned challenges, which suggests there may be deeper issues that need attention.
I still believe this casino has the potential to be the best local entertainment spot. The service is excellent, the atmosphere is welcoming, and it provides a good way for my wife and me to relax during the week. My hope is that management takes a closer look at the payout systems, oversight, and fairness of the games so that regulars like me can continue to enjoy visiting with confidence.

We had a fun time here. Its so clean and fresh and smoke free!!! The young man at guest services was so kind and professional while he set up all our new rewards cards. We came for the B.A.D. BINGO. He answered all our questions and guided us over to the BINGO area. Then the people in the BINGO area answered all our questions as best they could since it was the 1st weekend. We got in line at 8 based on their recommendations and it was already a long line. They actually started sales early to get the line moving, which was so efficient. Once they got the line moving, they could count back to where they would be sold out, so they went back to let the rest of the line know so they didnt have to wait for nothing. We got lucky and were the last group to get digital cards. We had some time until the game started, so we got some food and coffee. All the bar staff were great! Then we went to the BINGO room. We should have gone earlier to get better seating since there were 6 of us, but no biggie. The DJ played fun music all night. The B.A.D. BINGO staff was fun and energetic and organized. They were playing little side games like connect 4 and rock, paper, scissors for little prizes like troll dolls while we waited for the start. The numbers were drawn and announced quickly and the winners were checked efficiently. The digital games worked well and were easy to follow. They gave out glowing party favors like necklaces, rings, etc. None of us won, but we didnt care because we had so much fun!

My fav casino in all of Arizona. The Gila casinos are long standing and have the best perks if you are a member and you can use them at any location. They have concerts, hotels, promos, restaurants and anything else. This location has a good spot that stays open late to the wee hours of the morning and you can get burgers, breakfast burritos or coffee. Highly recommend the sausage breakfast burrito with the salsa. It’s out of the way so it’s not busy and has plenty of parking at both entrances. Valet too if you want.

We had a good time gambling it was paying us back long enough to stay for a few hours. We did not eat at any of the restaurants this time but we’ll be back to try our luck again.
